  1. Yes there’s quite a few great sounding but long Madonna remixes that I would have played far more on CD if I’d had a single length remix edit. The three track limit placed on UK CD singles really messed things up as it restricted how many truly-different-than-on-the-album tracks that we would get even if there were two separate CDs
  2. American Life EP tracklisting looking at Wikipedia we would get everything listed except Radio Edit and Radio Edit Without Rap It looks like it’s the original US maxi single that they’re going with? Did a quick Google for official remixes and all I could only find are some other edits. https://madonnacollector1983.wordpress.com/american-life-era-2002-2004/american-life-single/ American Life USA | Promo 12” Vinyl | PRO-A-101097 A1 American Life (Missy Elliott American Dream Remix) B1 American Life (Missy Elliott American Dream Clean Edit) B2 American Life (Missy Elliott American Dream Instrumental Remix) American Life Remixes USA | Promo CD-R | no catalog number 1. American Life (Oakenfold Radio Edit) 2. American Life (Oakenfold Radio Edit W/O Rap) 3. American Life (Felix Da Housecat Radio Edit) 4. American Life (Felix Da Housecat Radio Edit W/O Rap) 5. American Life (Rauhofer Radio Edit) What are the other official remixes not on the US maxi single? I saw another comment saying that there’s other official remixes and so I was curious about what else fans would like have liked included here? Or if there was a second follow up digital release for the American Life single
  3. I doubt we’d get anything digital this week as they want to promote the American Life EP for RSD on April 22. I don’t know who is buying mp3s these days, but Warner won’t want the stampede for expensive ltd edn vinyl to overshadow a new opportunity for fans to spend their Madollars on iTunes I wonder if the RSD EP will ever get released on iTunes and streaming ?
  4. I’d be happy with a digital EP for Angel/Into the Groove as I can’t imagine they’d give us alternate versions of ItG. They’ve never given us the video version with the “good going, stranger” line before so that would be fun. I can’t imagine they’d suddenly release the movie version for the first time on one of these digital EPs, as cool as that would be. I think it would be Into the Groove (single version) Angel (radio edit / 7” edit) Angel (dance mix) Angel (dance mix edit) The original album version wasn’t on any singles so they might skip that. Burning Up wasn’t on US versions of Angel 7” or 12” and while Shoo Bee Doo and Everybody were on Into the Groove that track was only a separate single internationally. So it’s quite possible that none of those would be included either. Fingers crossed it doesn’t turn out that the tapes for the mixes/edits of Angel have been lost.
  5. In 90 years when the twins have full control of the Madonna estate and have built a virtual reality fully immersive Blond Ambition experience in the ultra-mega-Metaverse
  6. Would have been cool to get American Life remixes this week to mark big anniversary of the single going on sale. Maybe we’ll get a surprise with news of something this time next week.
  7. and all of Kylie’s PWL singles were released as pretty exhaustive EPs on iTunes in 2009, and the EPs then added to streaming in December 2016. I don’t think that is dramatic to say that I don’t understand why Warner are still dragging their feet so much with a huge back catalogue star like Madonna 🤷‍♂️
  8. My physical media is in storage and I can’t copy my remixes, live tracks, etc, to my iPhone / Apple Music anymore. Hence since then I’m far more bothered about what is (un)available) now on streaming.
  9. The much hyped back catalogue deal with Warner Music has been very underwhelming so far. They can’t even pull their finger out and put our vinyl/CD collections on streaming, let alone give us something a bit extra like previously unreleased tracks. We still haven’t even got Ain’t No Big Deal, Let Down Your Guard and Cyber-Raga on streaming yet.
  10. So when do we find out if there’s another digital single release this week?
  11. I think the lack of promo videos for actual singles is more egregious than songs that should have been singles. Rescue Me, for one, shouldn’t be a forgotten hit outside of the fan base :( But here goes… Everybody/Burning Up (dance version) - I’d have released a double-A side in the UK when the first album singles were becoming hits as re-releases Crazy For You/Gambler - a double-A side for the US as Gambler wasn’t released there separately. Putting a non Madonna song on the b-side when they could have used Gambler instead was ridiculous Crimes of Passion - an early demo that I think was easily good enough to be not just on an early album, but a single too Over and Over - I’m biased as this was a huge favourite as a child, but it probably wouldn’t have been as popular as Dress You Up or Angel(?) Each Time You Break My Heart - just listening to the rough sound quality demo it’s so obviously a lost smash hit. The Nick Kamen version just doesn’t sparkle like Madonna’s Spotlight/Where’s The Party YCD mix - another double-A side, to promote You Can Dance. I loved Spotlight so much as a child Till Death Do Us Part - I loved this one too. Maybe would have released Oh Father in UK after Dear Jessie, which did surprisingly well. I’d have scrapped Cherish as a single, like True Blue it’s just a bit too cute and safe for Madonna 🥱 Words - instead of Fever. Launch the album with Deeper and Deeper (plus a better promo video) Thief of Hearts - with Why’s it So Hard as the b-side. I still think that Erotica is just such an amazing album Bedtime Story/Sanctuary - make it a double-A side. Imagine if there had been an additional, alternate edit of the Bedtime Story promo video that included Sanctuary as well. It would have been legendary. These two tracks listened to together are the album’s masterpiece Sky Fits Heaven - I know there’s reasons why it couldn’t have been a single. But it’s just too brilliant not to have received radio play and a promo video of its own Nobody Knows Me - deserved to be a single outside the US. It had remixes, but needed a promo video Devil Wouldn’t Recognise You - either after or instead of Miles Away Across the Sky - chuck in Animal as an exclusive b-track. I know there’s lots of strong unreleased songs, but this is one that I played a lot back in the day. I prefer the unreleased Hard Candy tracks, to a lot of them that made the cut e.g. Spanish Lesson or Candy Shop Joan of Arc - with Heartbreak City as a b-side. I’m not sure what should have been the lead single for Rebel Heart, but Living For Love wasn’t it Unapologetic Bitch - if M wanted a defiant ‘bitch’ single, this is so much preferable to the cringe of BiM Beautiful Killer - instead of bland forgettable Turn Up the Radio. My favourite song on MDNA by far. A remix of Gang Bang on b-side. I’d pick this over Gimme All Your Luvin, which felt a bit juvenile, as a lead single
