About the CAC EP, something we talked about @club78boy:
I compared the Movie House Mix with the one from the Yellow Single CD, and they do match in speed, indicating that they come from the same master.
Now, because the one that I have is the @Aiwa08 shared, EQ'd to match the equalization of the Japanese boxset, I don't know if this mix from these 2 sources (the new digital EP vs the Yellow Single) is the exact same track, or a variation of the same master.Couldn't compare the other tracks yet :|
But at least they didn't boost the audio levels! yay! (:
I'll compare tomorrow when it's available here in the US

So the cursed mixes would be:
- Borderline (It's That Girl Remix Edit) Available only on It's That Girl cassette.
- Burning Up (Original Album Version) Available only on vinyl and cassette.
- Over And Over (Dub) Available only on vinyl and cassette.
- Open Your Heart (Remix) Available only on vinyl and on It's Thar Girl cassette.
- Causing A Commotion (Movie House Edit) Available only on vinyl.
- Die Another Day (Richard Humpty Vission Radio Edit) Available only on vinyl-
Any more?
off the top of my head:

Also hoping to get nice and clean versions of those!
They have uploaded tracks from the German Yellow CD Singles in the past (or at least from the same masters)...
oh, I hope not! One of the nice things about the True Blue 35 was a decent, new transfer of the Open Your Heart dub!
-
I will be happy to have nice, clean versions of the Dub and Movie House Mix!
Those German CD singles from 1995 were muffled and distorted.

What are you smoking?
It's the exact same vocal on both versions. Aside from the fact that you can hear it clearly, it's also well documented that the take used in the final release was the demo take - she never sang it again according to Leonard. I believe her response to the possibility of re-recording the vocal was "why the fuck would I do that?" .
and we know this isn't true because the vocal in the stems is a different take

No. It was the album version everywhere. The remix/edit was US promo only.
Actually, the commercial release of Dress You Up in Canada did include the remix/edit - untitled. I own a copy and can confirm.

I am still dissapointed that they didn't give us the full/movie version of This Used To Be My Playground. It feels like that might have been our last shot?
-
OMG we better get both Dubs for WTG and CAC!
-
so..... do we have an idea of what's next? I would love to get more vinyl/cassette only mixes on digital platforms!

I like any part of this. I definitely don't think Burning Up would be included though because I can see the other four being possible. My bet this will be a pretty quiet release, unless they make some noise for Into The Groove. Though, my bet it won't be until next year that Into The Groove will get some real lovin' from the Madonna team.
hey.. you never know! They tacked Fever (Edit Two) onto Rain and that was only available on the German 12"...

I am quite sure I read somewhere lucky star and borderline were shot back to back but I couldn’t remember the source.
Unless we see proof I do not believe it was shown on mtv at the same time as Borderline, that would make no sense. It was done for the uk.
yes, in her first Australian interview with Molly Meldrum on April 16, 1984 she mentioned that the Lucky Star video was only meant to be aired in Europe and was surprised Australia and the US were airing it.

I might have missed it - in between the endless conversations - have we confirmed that the CAC digital release is identical to the 1995 German CD single? It sounds like that to me, but I am NO expert!
Also @Aiwa08wasn't there an in-house CD with the Rescue Me dubs in digital?
