I have friends voting for Trump and they are gay, liberal, progressive, kind, compassionate and hard-working people.
Theyre not voting for the man, but for the policies which, if examined closely, just recenter alot of stuff.
Remember when we used to do that? Voting on policy vs identity.

Well for one, Madonna didn’t write a song whose title and lyrics alluded to his crimes and then invite him to sing on it, or go on an interview spree claiming they’ve both had untruths written about them. Oh, and she didn’t pretend to fellate him onstage, or make a music video where he played a doctor messing with her unconscious body. So, that’s the difference for me.

Because male dominated bands are still high on the billboard and streaming charts with greatest hits projects, and women aren’t. It would be nice to see her finally receive some of the accolades she’s earned through her work and to see the younger generations live up to their stated ideals and start supporting women.

I’m just hoping it’s delayed as part of a larger strategy to up her overall streaming and bring her back into the public consciousness in a more celebratory and less derisive way. Perhaps there will be more deals for her music like the Deadpool one, that will really introduce her music to a wider audience and affirm her as a legend.

I don’t think she’ll do the Olympics, but I highly doubt she will never perform on tv again, and she was just broadcast on TV singing and performing live for a million plus in Rio.
It’s ok to admit that other singers besides Gaga also have their merits. After all, even Gaga performed on TV again after her embarrassing Bowie tribute that was panned by both media and his son.

I think economics forces her too. She may be willing to do it on her end, but she needs a producer who also is willing to, and we already know what happened with Diplo. He had a multitude of other gigs and she couldn’t hold him down. He’s not going to give up money just to lock down with Madonna for an album. If she wanted his time solely for her, she would have had to pay out for it. Times have changed, and music is rarely made the way she’s been used to anymore. She’ll either have to discover someone who hasn’t broken through yet like Sickkick, or work with a producer who doesn’t have much else going on professionally like Mirwais if she wants the time and dedication she used to enjoy when album budgets were much higher.  

It seems like she’s not that much into pop these days, so I don’t know. I think she’s proud of herself for being a hard worker, standing up for her beliefs, and becoming an icon from humble beginnings, but she knows her job is to straddle the line of the pop world and more experimental music, and she won’t put her toe fully over the line, which makes me think she doesn’t particularly love her own music outside of the short term recording and release span of a new album. 

Yes, I forgot about Love Will Never Do Without You video. That was directed by Meisel, so there's still a loose Madonna connection. I don't think she ever specifically thought "I'm going to copy Madonna," I just see a subtle influence there. 

Love Janet but I don’t think we would have gotten her 1993 sexual revolution phase had Madonna 1990-92 not happened.
