the movie version is basically the demo version as Madonna and Steve who hadn't finished the track were asked by the director for an instant copy of the song in order to add it to the movie, so they gave her the demo to use. It was later completed as the version we all know.

If all this pain happened for a 20 seconds clip on a film, I can't imagine how she will ever allow her demos to be included on her reissues... I mean, such a bore...

wonder if it is because of the fact that for a very long time the 12" was wrongly included as "album version" on streaming on the LAV album and was fixed only a year ago or something....? Maybe they haven't updated that mess and so album version and 12" version appear on YouTube just as album version?

Really can someone make a definitive chronological list of the demos before it simply became Erotica?
I really doubt any other Madonna song has had so many demos/versions before it got finalized!

But from what people have posted recently and in the past, it sounds like they've been working on the re-issues and they will soon to be announced.  Personally, I'm glad they aren't rushing them. Gives me hope they will make them nice.  Not sure if it will include all the things you are hoping, but let's cross our fingers for some goodies? 

Maybe it's silly but... She literally didnt need to. Like, she was EVERYWHERE. It's still surreal to me how LAP and others hits of hers werent performed until the respective tour started

3 years of preparation? of own masters? in digital era?
we didn't have a real remaster of a single video only lazy upscales.
Mariah Carey upload almost all of her singles on streaming in 2 month 
Taylor Swift rerecording her 4 old albums and record 2 new in last 3 years
