it was an off the rack dress from the regular ready-to-wear collection, not a unique "museum worthy" piece... and people are allowed to wear old clothes

Do you mean wearing other people's costumes/outfits?
People wearing other people's gowns, costumes and outfits have been done for decades in the entertainment business. In fact, let's not forget Madonna in 1990 (at MTV Awards) wore Glenn Close's dress from the 1988 Dangerous Liaison film.  But again, it even pre-dates this as even older classic movie stars and entertainers have worn other entertainers' outfits throughout the years.

I've always thought that the best material for the biopic is M's rise to fame and the very early days of her fame.. That's where the most interesting things happened, she was surrounded by the most interesting artists, and there's most material for a serious movie.
Even when Madonna is retelling the stories of her life, she talks the most about her early days, and her relationships on the art scene of the early 80's. Keith Haring, Basquiat and Martin Burgoyne are more interesting than Guy Ritchie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mini Coopers
A huge part of M's life and career is breaking one record after another while the press is mean to her. Sure, it's interesting for a segment in the movie, but you can't make a whole movie about it.
The late 70's and early 80's is where the juice is.

IMO Sean abused her and her good friends know it. I was surprised when she went to bat for him in 2016, denying it during the Lee Daniels defamation suit. I think she loves him still and hopes he’s grown since. Also, they both used each other during that Rebel Heart period to support charitable causes which she may have seen as a greater good than the ugly end to their marriage.

Absolutely, it's impossible, and not all career achievements make good stories on film. I mean, what, will there be a whole ten minute scene about writing a letter to Bjorn and Benny and recording Hung Up in Stuart's living room? Confessions is a huge part of her career, but I don't think it's an important part in the movie, it can be reduced to a short montage of hits.
I remember last year when Florence Pugh was photographed with short hair, and some people here thought she cut her hair to film The Girlie Show scenes

androiduser got a reaction from Pretty Madonna in Songs that you think that could be avoided forever on her next gigs / tours
people come for the big hits they know... the average concert goer is not a mega fan who saw every tour and listens to Madonna all the time, so to them, the huge hits are the reason to see the show.

also, past the late 90's it could wander into the "poor me" territory, with Madonna being enlightened, doing charity, creating music, and the press just being mean. With the entire world in a turmoil now, I don't think people are interested in another celebrity being portrayed as a victim.

I don't think she'd be teasing a Bedtime Story 30 reissue this far out from October and I can't see that album being first tbh. Interesting that the demo assembly leaked the other day though. even if it turned out to be fake.

Thinking about it a little more she's probably just feeling her post tour skinny body after a few years of feeling fuller figured and wanted to snap it for the pics.

Bedtime Stories may be not a "landmark album" in Warner eyes anyway.
I predict Like a Virgin, then True Blue and lastly Like a Prayer for now. These are supposed 3 reissues ready to go.

I truly think the AIDS crisis will be the center of it. Not sure if it was you or someone else who mentioned the parallel to seeing her mother die then her friends die but its crazy how dark this story could possibly get. For as fun and sexual as Madonna is there has always been a foreboding apocalyptic frenzy to her work and her story.
