There’s something to be said for quality over quantity. 

I love the idea of her being able to create an album without having to worry about touring it. My fantasy is that she'd be able to pour all of her energy, creativity, and time into it.

I can't begrudge or hate on her really.  She's lead a totally different lifestyle as Madonna and maybe many of us.  I do agree;  I am surprised she's still alive because it appeared to me she had lived a very destructive lifestyle at times.  If anything, I have to give her props for surviving. Obviously, there is a very interesting story to tell of her life. I would love to hear her version of it someday.  At the same time, I try not to buy into all of what was fed to us by the media through the years.  I do think the wild things she's said throughout her life, probably were bullshit as well and probably under the influence of drugs and alcohol.  She's most definitely lived a very interesting and probably very scary life at times.

Courtney has said way worse about pretty much everyone. Haha. Getting roasted by Courtney is an honour in my book. 

I think the rumour of them bundling the firsts 2 albums together came from them ignoring the 40th anniversary of the debut album, and people desperately wanting that era to be celebrated and not go unnoticed. 
 
I would rather have them bundled than no reissue of the first album tbh

I agree on all accounts here.  It's probably not happening, but I will admit that I'm one of those who was hoping this would happen.  I guess we'll see, but I'm not going to hold my breath.  Though I still believe something is coming later this year for LAV 40th.  What that is?  Who knows?

I agree with you. Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen. We can only hope that a future tour will include Australia.  A lot of crap gets in the way in where she performs and probably wishes she could go. 

I agree... I don't see it as "shade". She simply stated a matter of fact.  She didn't really carry on about it all.  She simply stated such.  I don't believe she was just name dropping either. Many celebrities are always questioned and steered into answering a certain way.  Of course, the media will find a way to put a magnifying glass under what is said, and then some fans will put their own spin on it all. 
I like Courtney.  Or at least I did!  She's a mess, but she doesn't pretend she's not.  She's very authentic and doesn't mince words.  I'm sure Courtney nor Madonna sit around thinking about each other.  In fact, I'm sure the us carrying on in this thread has spent more time than both Madonna and Courtney ever thought about one another. But let's keep in mind, even in 1995, Madonna was able to keep it respectful with Courtney during that notorious VMA collision.

What a shame Madonna didn't and probably won't go to Australia. I'm not from there, aussies deserve their own tour leg though.

We got something like this in Poland in the 00s. Here's the picture:

"Madonna The Amorous Hits" was included in weekly magazine Claudia. Might look like a bootleg but it's official release from Warner. Because certain Polish radio station was main close partner of Warner in this part of Europe, this little compilation was released before American Life to promote Madonna further.

I would love a LAV expanded reissue for its 40th anniversary in November. But it still perplexes me that the first album had its 40th anniversary last year and there was no expanded reissue for that. It would have been the perfect opportunity to start this long discussed reissue campaign with Warner, with the album that started it all! TBH I have lost all faith that any of these expanded reissues are coming. But happy for my cynicism to be proven incorrect. 

I think the "landmark albums" will go beyond the 80's, but I agree that the first two albums could very well be grouped together. Or maybe, it's just wishful thinking, being I want both albums re-issued in an expanded way.  I do not believe for a second that she will ever include any of her earlier demos before Madonna album other than possibly the earlier versions of Everybody and Burning Up and Ain't No Big Deal.  But I question that, being we got those for Pre-Madonna even though that wasn't something truly from Madonna. 
I still am not expecting many other demos or unreleased material for the follow up albums on it's expansive sets.  I hope to be wrong though.

I adore Garbage's recent reissue of their 1995 self titled album 
that's how a reissue should be done featuring remastered tracks from the original analog tapes, as well as remixes and previously unreleased alternate versions of songs

To think that even these expanded/remastered will ever see the light of day, the discussion will not end because the mastering won't be good enough, the versions won't be the right ones, the booklets won't be exactly the same font...just...what is already being said for the digital singles...
