Just one show left for me - Milan next week. Already feeling sad :D 

 

Oh my gosh that sounds wonderful. I’m a little jealous of course! I wish I had of seen more than 4 shows! I just didn’t think I’d want more than that

Are the german reviews any good? I only found one who said: Madonna in köln mit playback 🙄 are they deaf or just delusional?

I think that was just in Paris.

Not sure about the pits. But they seem to have merged the pit tickets all into sound factory in a lot of euro cities. But then every city is different so who knows? I believe people with Danceteria tickets are usually notified beforehand.

Hard Candy was meant to be representated through the scrapped Music section. As @Dazedmadonnatold, 4 Minutes and my personal anthem Candy Shop would be performed as a part of a dance contest between M and her dancers, but, after the ICU thing, back to rehearsals at Nassau Colisseum, she felt she wasn't able anymore to perform this entire section - esp in a concert who were meant to last 2h30 and this section were meant to happen between Kabbalah/cowboy and future/rave sections - so she made herself the favour of scrapping it totally. It was a section just to showcase her freestyle dancing abilities - that aren't available anymore for very obvious reasons. So she has kept faithful to herself (as well as rational) even by scrapping this 4-song section instead to be stubborn by keeping it, against her own current body abilities.

As I told to Dazed, all setlist changes and scraps, besides being very much needed to the flow of concert, made M able to develop a non contradictory storyboard about herstory and still to present her 40yo career in a short timespace of an ordinary movie (and an ordinary tour concert), due to the several Easter eggs featured to it.

Thank you for the additional details about the scraped section! Yeah, reading what you know seems like a redundant passage in the arch of the show. I think she did well at the end of the day, for herself and the show.

The only thing I would have done at this point is to keep Express Yourself and Music as the finale, I go on thinking that Express yourself would have been the perfect closure/message for her story telling show, especially performed surrounded by all her artistic characters  (but that's just me, I know)

She really is a legend, this show is the ultimate prove.

Their background vocals are present at least on "Nothing Really Matters", cause they were on the album version and they've used the original stems for this show. So that's not much... but something xd

Speaking of omissions, it's a bit petty of me but I wish Howard Ashman were included in the Live to Tell montage. He was so talented and lost his battle to AIDS in his prime.
