I have a question guys: what do you think about the fact that today pop songs last hardly more than 3, 30 minutes? I mean, I understand I'm not a teeneager and I can't get their taste, but fuck   I'm obsessed with "Good luck babe" by Chappel Roan at the moment and I noticed that I always need to listen to the song twice in a row to be properly satisfied and the same happened about two years ago with "As it was" by Harry Style (I loved how melancholic it was ) ... I mean, they just give the base, like: "ok I have this hook ... bye" :Madonna034:

I mean, I want to play with it, let me explore a little what you have here, its spectrum, enjoy some variations, sound evolutions, tonality changes, specials. Oh I'm better stopping this, I'm getting frustrated just writing about it  ... good luck babe

I hate them!!!

But then i hear the extended mix and they usually don’t add anything really exciting. I think that’s maybe because the song was intended to be short in the first place or I’m used to hearing the short version

But i totally agree with you

Bohemian rhapsody geniuses where are you?

I feel like most songs feel unfinished now a days.

The DJs at my work make it even worse cuz they'll speed up songs and will only play 30 secs of each song like I'm scrolling through TIK TOK or something... You barely get one chorus and then BAM! then BAM, then BAM. I'm like...

I actually love songs being so short. If I'm not done I just play it again.

Those MTV specials/ weekends were magic. Especially that one being in the studio. And I LOVE the way she looks here.

This special also originally was supposed to have had a segment with baby Lola. And a brief piece of it was included in the original teaser/commercial for the special. Then there was an episode of Entertainment Tonight about a week or few days before where they mentioned the scenes being removed by M's request. The commercial/ teaser also cut the footage. I have never been able to find the original footage or the ET clip. It's always been a bit of a holy grail/ lost media thing for me. I can't be the only one that remembers this.

Somebody get Club78boy on the horn.

And can the rest of you smoke a j or go find a bar to fight at or something?

I have it on VHS. And the MTV News bit as well. Saying she requested MTV remove the Lola footage because fans were chanting baby Lola's name and it freaked Madonna out.

The misogyny is in YOUR words. Asking a woman if they are having sex with someone is not misogynistic. YOUR WORDS of a woman that has multiple sex partners as a "whore" IS MISOGYNISTIC.

Yeah you're right, a Madonna forum with posts saying "Madonna sucks dicks" is what we want.

Which is exactly what studios want. The more streams, the more money you make. You want a track that’s only so long so that it wets your appetite but doesn’t fully satiate. That way you’ll be more inclined to play it over again and studios make more money.

Studios are always looking for the next viral sound on TikTok or instagram reels. Those 30 second snippets are big money when every influencer is using your song to some trend. If your song has something as catchy as that ‘Oh no! Oh no oh no no no no no!’ We’ve all heard a billion times over, that’s a lot of money to rake in.
