I did not talk about Hung Up, I know that's a sample, the rest of the album is heavily plagiarized with tweaks, like Future Lovers is just an I Feel Love copy, it's so obvious.

In short Confessions had already outsold EOM workdwide by December 2006, over 8 million vs over 7 million for Mariah.

Why do you think Warner's gave her a HUGE budget and let her do whatever she wanted for HC? They paid for Madonna working the list expensive, A list producers in the biz with that album. He'll Warner's was DESPERATE to keep on their label and Madonna used the commercial success of that album to negotiate highly with them when her contract came up, the New York times reported in 2007 that Warner's "is desperate to keep such a big seller on their label and her last album was huge for the label it exceeded sales expectations".

that is news to me, I am simply repeating what he said in an interview, he literally said Madonna and Warner did not consider Confessions a success and she changed her style in favor of a more US friendly sound with Hard Candy and it worked, 4 Minutes is her first top 5 since Don't Tell Me and was a huge seller in the US and a hit, and I would say worldwide too.
We get it, rabid fans love Confessions and its plagiarized tunes from Donna Summer, Daft Punk and Giorgo Moroder, but it was a flop, deal with it.

no it wasn't, and you keep talking about album sales being down but taylor swift, adele, katy perry all have huge sales numbers, so no, albums sales are not down. I'm not comparing them to Madonna because she is not a new artist anymore, but Confessions was not a hit and her album sales have been in decline, it is a fact.

he was the main manager back then and Hung Up and Confessions did not sell well in the US, Stuart Price confirmed that the reason she never worked with him again is because the album and single were not considered a success in the US. You are compounding worldwide sales, in the US her sales have been pretty much nothing. And again, Madonna is not to be compared with any other artists, she can only be compared with herself, and by her standards she has been flopping, and by other artists' standards too.

Madonna keeps being the highest tour earner because she is Madonna, no one can take credit for that but her. Every single ancillary moneymaking project he has gotten her into has failed, often embarrassingly so. He can't even organize a proper video shooting of her shows. She has to pick and choose from several shows to make a proper dvd. The Olympia show fiasco where he literally had her perform in front of borderline terrorists, jeopardizing her. Miami Art Basel was humiliating, the crowd didn't even care and she was pissed. Her albums don't sell, singles don't chart on Billboard, it's a flop. It's one disaster after another, it's been 15 years of this. 15. Let that sink in.

that's fine. I showed the proof. I quoted Stuart Price, and actions speak louder than words, Madonna did a 180 with her next album and didn't revisit Confessions since because it was a flop. Believe what you want.
