I really can´t sing any lines from a Taylor Swift song, she is really not very interesting for me But the same I never liked very much Gaga, except I know some songs from her.

Thank you, this is what I’ve been trying to say from the start.

There are modern artists whose music I don’t particularly enjoy, but you still end up knowing their singles, even if you don’t want to. With Taylor Swift, though, it’s different. I know her as a successful singer because of the news and the internet, but I’ve barely heard any of her music on the radio, TV, or elsewhere, unlike artists like Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and others, whose music I come across more frequently.

And that's why I believe, in my opinion, that Madonna's music is well-known worldwide, while Taylor Swift's music isn’t as widely recognized

    Just asking.

The main post speaks about 8 tracks,  and says INCLUDES 6 unreleased mixes/demos.

    So it might be:

    2 already released tracks/mixes/remixes

    6 unreleased mixes/demos

So I might assume it could be

    2 released + 2 demos + 4 mixes, or

    2 + 3 + 3,

    or 2 + 4 + 2....

    It could be:

    2 released + 5 demos + 1 unreleased

    2 released + 4 demos + 2 unreleased

    2 released + 3 demos + 3 unreleased

    2 released + 2 demos + 4 unreleased

    2 released + 1 demo + 5 unreleased

    Place your bets! 😄

Which option would you like the most?

That's an easy cop out tho...we dont live in the 90s with regional releases not to mention she's literally in the middle of a huge global tour. I stand by what i said, you either are too old or live under a rock or just lying to seem cool. I mean i guess it would make sense that some people are all of a the above...

And again: Or simply, her music outside of the USA isn’t as powerful, and you don’t hear her songs unless you have a genuine interest in her.

For example I hear Dua Lipa all time on the radio, I know her singles but they never play Taylor Swift. So, honey, I don't live under a rock.

No one can deny her commercial success, which is HUGE, but IMO she will never have Madonna's cultural impact. That's what makes you a legend.

Exactly. When I was young, Madonna was everywhere. Her music was unavoidable, whether you liked it or not (the same was true for artists like Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, etc, etc, etc). I know who Taylor Swift is, but I only know her by name—I’m not familiar with her music or videos because they don’t interest me. So, in my view, her cultural impact is nowhere near that of Madonna

@Aiwa08Do you know the specific DB's and eq characteristics they used for Celebration specifically? It's not like I loved it but just for curiosity and for adding the eq and stuff to my playlists maybe! Thanks anyway even if you don't answer

    Using "Youlean Loudness Meter" software:

    "Vogue (from Celebration)":

    • Momentary Max = -4.62 LUFS
    • Short Term Max = -5.80 LUFS
    • Integrated = -8.81 LUFS

    "Hung Up (from Celebration)":

    •  Momentary Max = -4.29 LUFS
    • Short Term Max = -6.35 LUFS
    • Integrated = -8.52 LUFS

    In DB:

    formula: dB = LUFS + 23

    Vogue:

    • Momentary Max (-4.62 LUFS): -4.62 + 23 = 18.38 dB
    • Short Term Max (-5.80 LUFS): -5.80 + 23 = 17.20 dB
    • Integrated (-8.81 LUFS): -8.81 + 23 = 14.19 dB

    Hung Up:

    • Momentary Max (-4.29 LUFS): -4.29 + 23 = 18.71 dB
    • Short Term Max (-6.35 LUFS): -6.35 + 23 = 16.65 dB
    • Integrated (-8.52 LUFS): -8.52 + 23 = 14.48 dB

These values represent the sound levels in decibels relative to the maximum digital level (Full Scale).

    -------------------------------------------

On TIDAL, there's always an option to "normalize" songs to ensure they play at the same level. For my compilations stored on a hard drive, I use wavegain to adjust all the tracks to the same volume as the "Like a Prayer" album (for example, "Vulgar" sounds as loud as "Express Yourself").

You might wonder why I use the same volume level as the "Like a Prayer" album to 'normalize' my compilations. It's because it's the last Madonna album that features the highest possible volume with no dynamic range compression.

but that's not real or official... it's a fan made mix using Official Audio, Instrumental, TheBlessedMadonna Remix Isolated Vocals, Filtered Stems & Vocals

I know, that's why I said it doesn't count, because it's not official. Anyway, I was talking about the version where Madonna sings Lucky Star in Levitating, not the video I posted.

Musically 4 Minutes is brilliant. I just kinda dislike the Justin bits even though I actually dig Justin.

Medellin was beaut but undercooked a tad.

Britney one is still one of the worst things she's done.

I like her Dua verse on Levitating a lot.

Sam Smith is mid and gimmicky

Popular are the definition of mid background coffee shop music.

Love Song should have been so much more for the star power

I do love Be Careful with Ricky Martin but again it's very unshowy.

Sexy Santana, Tokishca, Anita, Sickick, hard pass.

Medellín and Love Song are OK, but not amazing. Vulgar and Me Against the Music are just fun, nothing more. I love Levitating, but not that awful remix. I love the album version with Madonna, but since it's unofficial, it doesn't count. The rest, in my opinion, are meh.

In short: I only love the album version of Levitating with Madonna singing Lucky Star and without Missy Elliot (and it's not available commercially or as a promo).
