BigasBilly got a reaction from into the erotico in Re-Invention Tour | Lisbon
After reading through the last seven pages, I’d love to add some of own memories from attending the 2 Lisbon shows.

I went to Lisbon because we had it on good authority that they were filming the last two shows, in Lisbon for CBS/DVD.
I was in the pit both nights and our line to queue was at the back of the arena, next to the loading dock. Parked nearby was an HDTV Broadcast Production Trailer.
HDTV Ready for takeoff in Europe?
When we were brought into the pit, we entered the arena through the loading dock. We got to see all the sets and props, it was thrilling. As we walked into the pit, it was confirmed that they were filming the show on for a “CBS Special”.

I was in the stage right pit for both nights and it was obvious they were filming - so many cameras - most notably a camera operator actually inside the pit. The first night they filmed the show from the pit opposite me, the second night they were in my pit. The large crane operated cams also switched sides on the second night.
Then came the wait for the dvd release. I can’t personally recall the moments around the CBS deal falling through, but I do remember spending at least a year waking up every morning, logging into madonnatribe and hoping to see an announcement for the DVD. The feeling of desperation in the fan community was so palpable that, several times, there would be some sort of quasi-official “it’s still coming” tidbit from Madonna.com/icon. Meanwhile, M spent late 2004 doing another round of PR for children’s books, which left most fans feeling unengaged.
We were also very aware at the time that a separate documentary was filmed (with concert footage filmed in Paris) in addition to the “DVD”.
Time moved forward and eventually I’m going to tell you a secret was released on MTV in October 05, just a few weeks before Confessions hit stores.
There was some cross promo with Orange or Vodafone, I don’t remember the specifics, but definitely low quality clips of Burning Up and Die Another Day from Lisbon were definitely available on someone’s website. (Can someone find evidence of this?) Eventually those two songs were leaked online in much higher quality. The day that the full recording from the first night came out in 2010, was like Christmas.

Having gone both nights, when I see myself in different shots from the footage we have, I can identify the exact show based on the color of my shirt.
For Example, the 2010 footage shows me wearing the gray shirt that I wore on at the first show.

While this shot, comes from the recently leaked Don’t Tell Me footage shows me wearing the blue shirt I wore on the second night. The die another day and burning up videos also only show me in the blue shirt.

I wish I had more dirt as to the why it all happened, but I can at least provide a first hand account from when it happened. Hope this helps to answer some questions from the last 7 pages!

The employee for sure. We've all worked at places where there is that one stupid employee who can't do shit yet somehow the boss doesnt see and gets taken advantage of but everyone around wants to say something but doesnt. Madonna isn't telling him MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS COOL TONED TO THE POINT WHERE I LOOK LIKE A CORPSE. MAKE SURE YOU AIRBRUSH ME TO LOOK LIKE A TODDLER. Madonna is just that boomer who gets shown something on the computer and gets impressed like those boomers who don't think there's anything wrong with using comic sans.

Yes, there was. I tried searching for it a couple days ago but his channel seems to be gone. She was sitting near the heart of the stage and he had a front row seat. She asked which song he'd like and he said Bad Girl and she commented along the lines that she couldn't remember the words and I think she sang Ghosttown instead or something.

And Jamie King Interview for Mtribe

MT: Some songs in the setlist did change quite late though. I'm referring to "I'm So Stupid".

JK: Yes, "I'm So Stupid" was a big challenge.
The third song in the set list was a big challenge. It ended up being "Frozen" but it was originally "I'm So Stupid".
I Love that song. And fought and fought to have that song in there and we all wanted it to be in there but it just musically would not work out. Madonna is an artist and she's got to feel the songs flowing together and for her musically just couldn't work out.
And I'm very happy it ended up being "Frozen" because it's a great song.

Actually it had gone from "Frozen" to another song which was "Swim" from "Ray of Light" and then it went back to "Stupid" and then one day I was listening to "Frozen" in my car and I said "You know Madonna I think it should be Frozen" and it was put together and it just worked perfectly.
And with the images that we had on the screen which were originally cut to "Swim", they worked really well for "Frozen".

MT: Oh, the Chris Cunningham footage?

JK: Exactly. It had to be recut but it ended up with the same feeling. Actually it was better to "Frozen".

Just so we have record of this for the future. These were the rumors / outtakes / changes for the Celebration Tour:
4 Minutes, Candy Shop, Back That Up to the Beat, and Music were rehearsed as one section but scrapped after Madonna's illness due to the intense choreography. Supposedly there was a dance battle between her and the dancers somewhere in here. Ghosttown (with David) and Hold Tight were rehearsed for the country section. Hold Tight would've replaced DCFMA. The Power of Goodbye was originally going to be the final song. Frozen was supposed to be where Rain is now (this was done on some nights) Sorry and Oh Father were rehearsed. Allegedly these would've been in the 90s section. Papa Don't Preach was rehearsed to have some singing parts and not just the instrumental choreography Celebration was rehearsed as the opening number with Nothing Really Matters as song #2 Madonna's team suggested she make Nothing Really Matters as the final song but that never was rehearsed just suggested Bitch I'm Madonna was supposed to feature Madonna holding a cross on stage and a black veil

Seriously, you would all still be complaining about 'not having a proper high quality' video from the Re-invention Tour if it wasn't leaked for free in 2010! We know Madonna doesn't give a damn about it... otherwise it would have been released in 2005 before the documentary thing took over and buried the entire concert project forever.
Yes, the audio is not that great because as a stand-alone concert it was never intended to be officially released. If Madonna and her production team ever considered releasing a DVD from the tour, they'd probably have edited the final 2 Lisbon shows like they've done with multiple DVDs throughout her career.
Flat and boring this, flat and boring that. Then we complain about the MDNA Tour and Rebel Heart Tour blurays because they're everything but flat and boring whether you like the editing style or not. We'll never be satisfied with Madonna's way of doing things in the last decade and half... and many of us have come to accept the way it is.
    It's better than nothing.

I find it funny seeing comments about the RIT leak being 'shitty', to me it's a great rough professional recording, and without it's leak we'd still be holding to the short-ass IGTTYAS videos and incomplete audio and being like "Oh how I wish a pro-shot would leak!!!!". SMH

Well, the Tour must be complete in one way or another, because it was scheduled and planned to be aired on CBS. I'm pretty sure this is where the breakdown happened, it was rumoured that CBS wanted to air it with adverts and Madonna did not want this. Check this article out:
