I think it was because they falsely believed that Celebration had the 7" Edit on it. The source they used for that mix may have been mislabeled.

I had no idea "Take a Bow" wasn't an international hit. That was another one MTV was fully obsessed with. It was such a big deal here in the US. 

This. There was a HUGE shift in the 90's. Everything got serious and everybody was grumpy and judgmental. Songs like "Don't Stop" and "Survival" with their corny lyrics would have been absolute flops here in the US. "Human Nature" didn't chart highly because it wasn't played much on the radio, but it was played ALL THE TIME on MTV, which doesn't effect it's chart position. I never realized it wasn't a hit until years later. 

Exactly. I love the song and listen to it regularly, but it's just filler. The Dr. Suess-like rhyming would not have gone over well with a general audience in 1994/95. Especially from a huge artist like Madonna from which big things were expected. Had there been a Bedtime Stories Tour, I bet it would have been a great part of the show. 

"Don't Stop" would have probably done better commercially had it been released as the 4th single instead of "Human Nature" as Warner planned after it was played on the radio instead of "Bedtime Story". However it really doesn't feel like a classic tune. It's a cute little filler and as that, it serves its purpose.
"Human Nature" had much more of an identity. The video is amazing too. It was a bold choice and wasn't going to do as great but was a great artistic statement. I guess the fans are more tired of it nowadays since she performed the song A LOT since 2008 (every tour except the Rebel Heart Tour actually), but it pretty much feels like M's motto song nowadays. She's not sorry.

If the fans ever do come together to get her attention to ask for something…. Her working with Stuart Price again is something I think all fans would agree on. He has such a respect for her music and does it so well.  We should manifest this.

I think a series has a better chance to succeed than a film. Biopic films are so overdone. A series can really delve into different aspects of her life, the different characters etc. It can also mean that she can continue it further into the 90’s and 2000’s if it becomes a huge hit. And the audience will have a longterm investment. A film will just come and go like the Elvis one did, quickly forgotten and with aspects of her life glossed over.

Imagine it:
Series 1: Childhood to 1984
Series 2: 1985 to 1989
Series 3: 1990 to 1997
Series 4: 1998 to 2012

I’m not excited at all about a biopic. Would rather have a series, if anything, and strategically I don’t think it’s a good time to release one. 

I loved hearing the creative genius that is Vincent Paterson talk about his time with Madonna in this recent interview that I stumbled across today.
He's one of my fave collaborators of hers as he was responsible for so much brilliance, and is always very generous when discussing it during interviews.
It's pretty remarkable what he was able to achieve in just three weeks, and quite clear that he saved her tour after the original choreographer was fired.

According to @cosmic_system this was not the case in other venues so I was pretty lucky!!!

Imagine if shep went to MX tour and saw the trainwreck that M gave rescue me - he would have walked out ! i think he runs hotels now ? shame as he was an amazing producer - i would love to meet him and of course Pat - pat has always spoken very highly of M and their relationship - he even said a few years back that he would work with her again but M seems more interested in electro beats and rent a rapper rather than quality music/musicians now :(

Many artists play the music from their latest albums whilst doing photoshoots for the era. It’s entirely possible there is video archival footage of loads of Madonna photoshoots over the years that have her moving to her latest album that could be perceived by onlookers as unreleased videos. Not saying anything stated is untrue but I just know this scenario to be common practice hence easy to confuse.
