I think that would make more sense at this point! I guess they could announce the LAV 40 boxset on the actual anniversary? I can’t see them not acknowledging the anniversary like they did with the debut.

@deathproofcould you shed any light on any possible upcoming releases?

I dont think anniversary editions have to come out necessarily on the same day of their original version, even just an announcement can happen. With this in mind, some might still hold their breath until November for an eventual announcement and preorder but i personally dont expect anything anymore

  2. What's unbelievabe is the lack of any press release about the reissues, for them being either ready to go or postponed / cancelled. Not only that, but the complete lack of mention of this plan since this whole thing even started, silence by everyone and nothing more... Are we sure we didnt collectively hallucinate on the 16th of August in 2021? It actually makes more sense for the Warner announcement to be the illusory manifestation of our delusions and meltdowns if you think about it

  3. On a serious note, Music and American Life is the most correct choice. They're literally two sides of the same coin, both american folk sound mixed with techno. MUSIC is baiting the audience with the americana image, and ends up being the more trippy and psychedelic album among the two; AL is the tormented and raging version of the first and ironically puts more on emphasis on the american folk souns rather than the dark electronic vibe of it.

It's actually so fun how both these albums are so united by the similarities in their production, yet end up being the complete opposite thematically. Actually Spacey trippy album with folk vibes for the one promoted with a country yeehaw ass cover, and midlife crisis inspired, traditional folkloristic tales for the album that shows itself as dark and bad and rebel

From that list those 2 Madonna performances are the most iconic.

Absolutely, but same cant be said about the rest. I love Katy to death really, and not even i as a hardcore fan care about that performance. Taylor has never had any iconic performance, eberybody knows she's no performer and is the antithesis to the adjective 'iconic', and Gaga's performance is great but forgotten as anyone else's. Im sure many artists in the past made as great as M, but maybe they wouldnt bring enough chat among nostalgic aging pop fans. Not even said they're bad Gaga and Katy were great, but between being a good performance and being an iconic one there's a huge difference lol.

  5. Let's be honest, this whole category was made to purely pander to nostalgic music fans and that's it, do you guys really think these are the best performances from the history of this show, apart from maybe Madonna's? They all purposefully selected a performance from each big pop woman of the last decade plus an obvious Madonna choice Just to attract the hardcore pop fans. They knew what they were doing.

Taylor is great I don't get the hate.  Once you get past the fluff like Shake It Off, You Need To Calm Down. Me, Look What You Made Me Do there's heaps to be enjoyed. I think she does have a habit of releasing some of the worst tracks on the albums as singles TBH but the fanbase seem to make sure the best ones rise to the top through streaming like August & Cruel Summer. I wasn't convinced either at first but her voice is lovely and syrupy and her writing is actually sublime in places.

She really hones in on human emotions and those thoughts in your head very eloquently and poetically. . It took me by surprise actually after hearing the singles she's released. If Max Martin could give Madonna anything as sublime as Style I'd be thrilled. It's a perfect pop song.

Uk Chart? No offense but who cares about the charts of a small country? The merit here is to appear, in this particular case re-enter, the charts of the United States

    1) UK is one of the biggest and most relevant markets in the world. It's not an alien invasion movie, the USA are actually NOT the only place that matters 🙄

    2) American charts suck ass you will never see a Classic re-enter the chart

    Next!

We've known since day 1 that this was going to be long drawn out release strategy.

'long drawn' could have been the case of a 2 years timespan, we're almost 4 full years in and still not done honey... An average of 2-3 singles per month would have been long enough to keep fans invested in it not enough to let them tired as hell but oh well, who cares
