  1. Once the show opens and new reports, Instagram posts, and other media outlets make the rounds, they'll be sold out. The VIP packages that are unsold go back to regular pricing 5 days prior to showtime, as well. It's not unusual to find good tix from the venue/ticketmaster days before.
  2. Are we counting 1-off performances for telethons As overkill now?
  3. I figure since M has spoken on the oldies that matter in more ways than Instagram, they could be considered as well. ROL and LAP in particular. http://drownedmadonna.com/madonna-is-disappointed-with-armani-her-five-most-iconic-songs/20150314And in the Cosmo interview she listed LAP as her favorite song to perform live.
  4. He's already mentioned that the info was from the trading and collectors communities. If it was as simple as posting a link to a website, then I'm sure the hounds would have sniffed it out by now. Skin Bruno has been in the M communities for years, and I doubt very much that he'd be willing to risk a good reputation on inaccurate info. He's also stated time and again that it's probably an early rehearsal and has never claimed it to be a final setlist.
  5. I know. That's kind of my point. No one is forcing anyone to download them, so if they leak on deaf ears, then what's the value in leaking them in the first place?
  6. Leaks don't mean anyone is forced to download them. I hate that it's been so rampant with Madonna's work this era, but the only way to combat it, as fans, is to not download them. At least until after the tour starts.
  7. She never said that, she just axed it from the DWT because WB were going to release it as a single instead of Impressive Instant. If she didn't perform it on the tour then the record company couldn't release the live performance as a video for the single.
  8. Probably as many as she needs to. And one extra just to piss people off.
  9. And thank god for that. It's been nice having her plugged back in.
  10. Then don't buy a ticket. You haven't even seen the setlist yet, so there could be any number of songs to be added. The real question is if she's gonna sing Jimmy Jimmy or not.
  11. i have a feeling that if there's old songs that fit into a groove (no pun intended) with the new songs, then those old songs get the axe. I'm basing this off of the past couple of tours. confessions was a dance album, so there's no older dance songs, save Music for the 4th act... S&S being an R&B album got only Human Nature to represent the other R&B album... MDNA Tour screamed for more ROL songs, but since WO got repped with I'm A Sinner and Masterpiece, those songs were overlooked. I always give her the benefit of the doubt, mainly because I trust her, but also because seeing a song I hate live makes me end up leaving the concert loving it. That said, the only RH song I'd trade from those album tracks listed is SEX for Inside Out. I'm unapologetic about hating Unapologetic Bitch, but I'm sure I'll change my mind after I see it live.
  12. Shep stated somewhere (not sure where, so I don't have a link... Billboard maybe? ) that he owned the music rights when he was remixing the original love break in the early 80's, but that the element used in Vogue were original synths based off the Love Break track, not samples. Since he owns the music rights, it's not only a meritless case, it's not even an accurate accusation because it wasn't a plagiarism case.
  13. I'm not really too thrilled by the Rebel Heart tracks mentioned so far, aside from Devil Pray and HeartBreakCity. If she doesn't do Rebel Heart on the Rebel Heart Tour, I won't know what to think. I am beyond excited for most of the other older songs listed, I felt sure that LAV would be retired after the performance on MDNA Tour, it was a lament of sorts... But I can't see her NOT doing that song on a tour based on Rebel Heart, so it's always welcome for me. When she listed HER top 5 iconic songsLAVLAPEYVogueROLAnd also named LAP her most fave song to sing live, it's safe to say most of those songs would be on the tour, no? I have to say, I miss Music and Holiday on the setlists as well. I still think there might be a chance of a setlist re-work between the end of the European Tour and resuming in NA in January, but who knows. I've never actually guessed any setlist (or album tracklist) correctly, so it's always a surprise to me. Still!
  14. I bet she'll take dec/jan off to rehearse and refresh for round 2. Atl, Miami, PR -> Asia -> AU, not the most cost effective route, but she's definitely avoiding MDNA-type over booking and performance exhaustion. Just cuz it sells out doesn't mean that she should/can do 4-5 shows/week. Just my opinion.
  15. I was also at the opening night of the Confessions Tour, and I was nervous until the house lights went down that it was a "for sure" show, so I appreciate your input. My point was directly related to the logistics of travel/finances/etc and the quoted post I responded to. You're right, though.. I am a diehard that's invested not only money and true blue loyalty, but also over 30 years being entertained and sitting on the edge of my seat. Sometimes that's in anticipation, but it's also (at times) been out of sheer terror and nervousness. I like not knowing what's going to happen, hearing that nervousness in her voice, and feeling the electricity of the crowd on opening night... And I am seeing the show many times thoughout the NA leg of the tour, so I'm fine with the postponement at this point, and I'm looking for a potential upside that the show may be tweaked and slightly different before heading to Australia... If it needs any at all. I've never been disappointed in her shows, except the 2 tours I was unable to see live since BAT (GS and SS part 2) but not because they we're bad shows (GS is a masterpiece) only because I had to experience them through Memorex. All of that said, I'm still keeping my distance from Madonna the red carpet walking, Instagram posting, "CELEBRITY!". I'm waiting for "MADONNA: Living Legend and Greatest Performer in the World!" to take the stage. I have my reasons for being pissed off at the loss of money, for trying to plan ahead, and trying to make a short vacation around a the first 2 dates of the tour, before seeing it again every 2 weeks throughout the duration of the NA leg, seeing how it progressed from Miami to LA. Oh well.
  16. No disrespect to you, but some of us have been going to see Madonna concerts since before you were born. I think there's been people that have been done with her before, only to come back later. I'm not done with her, but anything beyond the album and videos, I'm not getting her vibe this time. I am pissed off that several friends and myself had to secure time off from work, accommodations for air and lodging (not cheap however you split it) and the concert tickets themselves. So, when you have a finite amount of paid vacation time, or none at all... And couple that with re-coordinating several traveling companion's schedules at high season in Miami when hotels and even airbnb condos are significantly higher in price, (I'm assuming the same can be said for Puerto Rico in January), NOT to mention a lot of accommodations can't or won't be fully refunded by many agencies... For example, I booked a hotel in Miami (prepaid mind you) using rewards points and cash, and it's not only non-refundable, but I lost 10,000 rewards points on my credit card as well. So you're right, there is a risk in buying tickets. It's not my first time at this rodeo, and there's been instances where MY plans changed and I couldn't make it to a show i had tix for well in advance, losing the money and a show that I went on as planned...but it sure does leave a bad taste in my mouth going to a city I had no desire to go to except to see an opening night of a Madonna tour, rescheduled a month after the LAST date of the tour in Europe. It's a good thing me and Madonna are solid, cuz it would be really easy to be over it and just get a refund if I was on the fence about her in the first place. When you lose a couple THOUSAND dollars with a wobbly excuse, you might feel differently.
  17. When has she ever not delivered? Sticky & Sweet was the closest she came to mediocrity, but it wasnt a sloppy, unrehearsed show. She is a preparation freak, and just the promo for the album alone was rehearsed to death. Its common to add dates, and she's more or less doing the same rehearsal schedule for every tour since RIT. You may be, but I'm not worried.
  18. I could see her being nostalgic when the inevitable autobiography is written... It would be only too fitting to provide a soundtrack to accompany it. I don't find her nostalgia of the last 2 albums to be any more than a reference of her past, rather than a fondness or desire to revisit it. She's still moving forward, so if she wants to glance over her shoulder here and there, that's great for us fans that DO remember when Like A Virgin was a new album. It's all about context, and she's never mined her back catalog/legacy in an unintelligent or unclever way, IMO
  19. I don't know about you, but I've been paying $375 for concert tickets for over 10 years now. THATS called cashing in. Releasing a few formats of an album doesn't really qualify in my book. I'll be getting the super deluxe cd and deluxe vinyl. If I want to get anything else, I will, but I won't feel obligated to get the French, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, etc. versions of the cd just to have all the varieties. If that's fleecing the fans, then so be it, but no ones being forced to do so.
  20. I think the different formats show they've put a lot of thought into marketing and promotion on global markets, we don't have to buy every single version of this album. Some songs will work better in, say, the Japanese market vs. the French market. There's still a month until the release, and as we've seen already, things can change. Not getting certain songs on an album doesn't mean we don't get them period. IMO, she needs to utilize b-sides for singles if she wants those sales, too.
  21. The 14 track cd may just be the format that is sent out with ticket purchases and/or the clean version for retailers unwilling to carry explicit content, like Walmart.
