  2. Today in Madonna History: April 24, 2015 On April 24 2015, the second single from Madonna’s Rebel Heart album, Ghosttown, was released as a 2-track single in Germany. Digital Spy had this to say about the single: If anyone will prove themselves indestructible come the apocalypse, then surely it will be the enduring might of Madonna that survives? According to her latest single Ghosttown, that’s exactly the case. “When it all falls, when it all falls down/ I’ll be your fire when the lights go out,” Madge promises her love on the haunting pop serenade, which gradually builds into a suitably theatrical finale ready for the Queen of Pop’s forthcoming world tour. It hears Madonna significantly more subdued and reflective compared to her handbag bangers of recent years, but by doing so it makes the biggest possible impact.

  10. A Madonna Song that is for the Shower. I look at this in 2 ways: 1. A Madonna Song that I like to sing in the shower 2. A Madonna song that is water themed with different symbolisms. For the first, I have no definitive answer as any Madonna song is good for my shower singing. So I’ll go with the second option as it narrows down the list tremendously. The contenders are: Rain Swim Wash All Over Me Winner: Rain My interpretation: This was my favorite the first time I listened to the Erotica album. I love her evoked emotion in this song. I identify the water with love, a purifying force that takes away sorrow and pain, but at the same time it brings hope for the future. I love the lyrics as they create beautiful and vivid spiritual images as well. It implies hope as turbulent elements associated with rain such as thunder eventually clear and produce clarity and happiness. This song captures this as well, notably with orchestral stabs that invokes crisp lightning bolts, and a surging bridge segue driven by what sounds like electric guitar snarls. After this brief hint of strife, the song clears up again: Madonna trills “Here comes the sun” several times, a signal that the clouds have parted, the storms are gone, and what’s left is a glorious sense of renewal. Of course, there’s a carnal interpretation of the song which I’m not going to delve in. Rain is what this thunder brings For the first time I can hear my heart sing Call me a fool but I know I'm not I'm gonna stand out here on the mountain top Till I feel your Rain

  12. This is a cruel challenge. Enjoy
  13. The challenge looks simple enough but in reality it’s anything but that. For the first category alone, there are so many choices. Till today, the whole You Can Dance LP is my go to when I work out and boy, do I love to blast the music loud when I work out. Of course there are times when I’m relaxing in my man cave and I would full blast music like Hearts’ If Looks Could Kill. Among the many Madonna songs that I love blasting when working out, relaxing in my man cave or simply taking a long drive, these are the main contenders for this category: Beat Goes On Heartbeat Best Night Hold Tight Impressive Instant Sky Fits Heaven Girl Gone Wild Animal After much consideration, the winner is Hold Tight. Hold Tight is reflective and somber. Them booming military drums is LIFE! I love the euphoric tribal chorus, atmospheric keyboards, military drums and flourishes of pastel electronics. And I love the effect of Madonna's voice on "Everything's gonna..." It almost sounds like she's right behind you. With the lyrical message on love triumphing through tough times by holding onto one another and being strong, blasting this song helps feed my soul. We live with no limits We'll dance in the middle of the freezing rain With you and I in it Survive the eye of a hurricane Together, we're gonna make this better We're gonna be alright tonight Hold tight, as long as you're by my side Hold tight, everything's gonna be alright Only love, only love tonight Like stars, we're burning so bright Hold tight, everything's gonna be alright
  14. April 19 1997, Madonna's "You Must Love Me" spent its final week on Billboard’s Hot 100 Single Sales chart
  15. List a Madonna song that ... Has to be played loud. Is for the shower. Makes you sad. Makes you horny. You know every word to. Reminds you of someone. Has a great music video. Relaxes you. Makes you want to boogie woogie. Makes you want to fall in love. You listen to on repeat. Excites you. Makes you think about life. Helps you through the tough times. Helps you celebrate.
