  1. The stereo version is the "old" TIC. If you want a Stereo version of this new release you need to convert the Dolby Atmos to Stereo by yourself using a proper software (It must handle Dolby Atmos files). I have it but I don't know if I can upload it here. Anyway the dolby mix is not made to play it in Stereo.
  2. Dolby Atmos should sound the same in any "dolby atmos" decoder. But you can play these tracks in different ways (discrete 5.1 surround system, stereo system, et cetera) and that it's the reason why they sound different. It's like to see a 4K movie in a SD TV.
  3. I don't know why, but Q-sound makes my ears fatigued after 5 minutes. I'm not joking.
  4. They are not re-recorded vocals. They were in the original recording but never used.
  5. Many single versions from 1983 to 1992 were remixes but very similar to the album versions (specially in Europe). A few fans can't even hear any differences. And Borderline is one of them. The single version (and the video version) is a remix, not an Album Edit (in the style of Like A Prayer, Open Your Heart, La Isla Bonita, Deeper and Deeper, True Blue, et cetera).
  6. Maybe I'm wrong, but the video uses the original single version, and the original single version is not an edit of the album version. It's a different mix. PS: Am I the only one who doesn't love TIC? (except for Justify My Love & Rescue Me). I like it but I hate the Q-Sound and the edits being too short.
  7. Sadly, this version of TIC with Borderline and Lucky Star changed has been available during almost 15 years, or even more, on streaming. It's nothing new. For many young people (even fans) this is the "definitive" TIC version.
  8. It's too easy to do a 5.1 version from the dolby atmos (well, it would be a 4.0 because the center channel and the LFE channel are practically muted). But you lose the 3D atmos effect. I did it two days ago.
  9. With Celebration, a regular 44100 Hz 16-bit wav file would have been enough. And they were available on the original TIC CD. With the Dolby Atmos is another story. They need the original stems... We'll never know the real reason to change Borderline and Lucky Star.
  10. I don't think so. It's been almost 15 years with the wrong versions on streaming. Like it or not (I don't like it) this is how Madonna (or Warner) wants The Immaculate Collection, with the original Borderline and Lucky Star (IC versions) erased on streaming.
  11. In my opinion we lost the center and LFE channels in the conversion from the Dolby Atmos to the regular discrete 5.1. They work very different. By the way I love the C and LFE channel of EY. I love the synth and the bass added by Shep Pettibone. https://mega.nz/file/NlMARJiT#5Oj8djj-nNjhAgQS_cQcH15W-EqZOAQDN3848pYj-jc (C channel) https://mega.nz/file/8hN21RrB#JsaOTTD8yA5PPGbmUXkgYbPf-GoKEkt7FdDgvDhh59Q (LFE Channel) https://mega.nz/file/x082GZ6a#mZ6SZ1UJmfd6dGhNUAXMNV6zc5NYdwDLiRzVsrMeWbc (C + LFE channels)
  12. In 74 minutes? Impossible. Yes, Like A Prayer and Vogue are too long, but you can't edit them too much. And I feel that many tracks are too short with a rushed ending. It should have been a double album (90 minutes at least).
  13. That was always the problem with The Immaculate Collection, the songs were too short to fix in a CD (74 minutes). It should have been a double album with longer edits and more hits (Dress You Up, Who's That Girl, True Blue and many more).
  14. I wonder why on You Can Dance "Physical Attraction" is the original album version on streaming instead the "mixed album version". It's the same version, only mixed at the beginning with the end of everybody and different speed. It has no sense
  15. Yes, I agree with you. I hate when they change the original songs on streaming. I would love to know the real reason to change these two tracks.
  16. Be careful. The Dolby Atmos change the direction of the audio between speakers to emulate a real 3D sound. You need a specific Dolby Atmos decoder. So the center channel and LFO being null is irrelevant. If you play the files in a regular 5.1 player you can't enjoy the real dolby atmos mix. You only will enjoy a mutilated 5.1 version. This video explain really well the differences between the regular dolby digital 5.1 and the dolby atmos:
  17. In my opinion it's a simply mistake. Mike Dean forgot to mute Madonna's voice at the end. In Material Girl her voice has too much echo... All the tracks have been mixed again from the original stems and they sound different if you compare them with the original CD.
  18. https://download.dolby.com/gaming/visualizer-cornerText.mp4
  19. It's the same version but the mix is really different (too much echo in her voice, for example). A new Dolby Atmos mix can't be done using the original stereo mixes. The tracks need to be re-mixed again from the stems.
  20. You are right. It has a different ending with new vocals. The original Immaculate Remix has an instrumental ending. So this proves that Warner used the original Immaculate stems to do the Dolby Atmos mix.
  21. It's too clean to be filtered. Even the best AI can't get this result (maybe in the future but not right now). Yes it's sound like a karaoke because they are the surrounds channels without the main voice and the main instruments, but properly done to get a real 5.1 mix.
  22. I agree with you. As I've said, it's not perfect, but is a step in the right direction for future dolby atmos re-issues. At least it's not the horror made in Celebration with the fake 5.1
  23. The wrongs files are available in every streaming site, so Warner has a master with those tracks changed. But one thing is clear: this is not filtered, they used the stems to do the 5.1 mix. This is not like the fake 5.1 made for Celebration DVD. Maybe it's not perfect, but it's not a fake 5.1 mix.
  24. They have the stems. This is not filtered. Check the surround channels of OYH or Rescue Me: https://mega.nz/file/9lVjySDL#0lPDXaw6VnEoYV2YWYmC9ehDC6L60QAvYd438V872JQ https://mega.nz/file/501GRIBK#-_pyiRh4E_9koluzFm2qAK6XCDvRbzoNHAvk0Jtsi7Q
