  1. Maybe it's just we're too anxious about Madonna's new record, let's all shut up for a minute and wait til it comes out
  2. I watched Shanghai Surprise once and it left me wondering, what did just happen? Where is Madonna?, what's the plot?, where's the turning point?, etc... they way it developed felt so random! I like George Harrison's song though!
  3. Not in order of preferance: American Pie Bad Girl Take a Bow Amazing Waiting OMG this is so difficult
  4. It's true, she needs to go to Australia, New Zealand and some Asian countries. I wouldn't mind if she doesn't come to Southamerica, stadiums in 2012 were not as cramped as they were in 2008 so that must mean something.
  5. Like a Virgin Waltz during the European leg of the MDNA tour.
  6. I completely agree with you, her acting is akward. I love her look and the songs she recorded though. The Blu-ray looks AWESOME
  7. I watched Bloodhounds of Broadway for the first time a few weeks ago and I was surprised Madonna's acting wasn't that bad. Still, I wouldn't include it in my Top 3 Madonna films: 1. The Next Best Thing ---> great plot 2. A League of their Own ---> nice plot, nice acting 3. Who's That Girl ---> classic and hilarious character I really consider Evita a smart move on her part but Musicals in general bore me to death :stress: I don't include her rockumentaries since they are really different kind of films.
  8. First time I saw Madonna live was during her first ever show in Santiago, Chile in Dec 2008... There were over 32°C so I easily got a sunstroke. I remember crying because of this, when I saw her ENORMOUS stage I got so pale I had to leave my position near the tip of the catwalk. Very frustrating but it was my life what was put at risk I soon recovered (a bit) just before the start of the show The second time I saw her was in Dec 2012 in the same city, under HEAVY rain, very unusual for Santiago's weather conditions in Summer. My whole body was wet, my balls were almost frozen because of the wind So, in conclusion, I luckily have had the opportunity to mesmerize myself with her presence in two different but equally EXTREME occasions. #revolutionoflove lmao
  9. LOL just kidding! My favourites could be either: or
  10. I've always thought the only way she could make a big impact as she used to in the past is by releasing an album with music that is so artsy and totally unexpected from her, that varies from sound to sound (take Bedtime Story for example), an album that really proves she's the writer of the lyrics and the one who plays at least one instrument... But sadly, truth is the opposite. We already know her new album will be invaded by tons of people and probably will be just another EDM record for the masses to enjoy til someone younger appears. It's just like Britney Spears, the gp does not think Madonna creates her own music.
  11. To be honest, I never base my music likes on how well they sell... I do think there are gems in every Madonna album, it's just that on HC and MDNA there were too many missed opportunities, all those HC fillers insert Spanish Lesson and Dance 2night here could have been replaced by several outtakes that leaked online. Same as MDNA single choices and promo which were awful and almost non-exstent... However, I always try to stay positive when a new era is coming and I aways tend to support Madonna's legacy but expectations do not always match reality, so this time I'll just wait and see what comes out from this confusing overhyped-by-fans campaign... I may sound negative from time to time but I just try to see things the way they are, with pros and cons. That's part of my admiration's identity
  12. I am surprised by the fact that Madonna hasn't toured places like Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong or South Africa, I mean come on! The Sticky & Sweet tour brought her to countries she had not been in almost 20 years and there was a huge response from the audience.
  13. Don't get me wrong, I love Confessions as many fans out there but I do believe a miracle and a lot of payola can save Madonna's music career. Let's be honest, her last truly creative record was American Life, all those acoustic demos that have surfaced online during the last years prove it. Confessions started her lyrical decay with all those quotes from past singles and album tracks.
  14. The Confessions Tour NEEDS to be reissued on blu-ray, wtf are they thinking???
  15. I mean, it was different back then. Female middle aged singers were still respected. Now people just laugh at them and their plastic surgeries... Look at Madonna, will she ever taken seriously again? I know it hurts but not even musically she's considered creative as she used to be... Her last 2 studio albums were light years behind other projects in terms of innovation and contribution to music in general. Confessions was good but that did not mean it wasn't just a rehash of past glories. Cher's Believe single was kind of innovative, she was able to connect to younger generations through techno... so did Madonna with ROL but I guess it's just a sign of the times. Most people won't buy a record unless it has awesome tunes they can easily relate to, take ADELE for example. Has digital explosion done anything great for Madonna? She only depends on touring these days.
  16. American Pie! Her version made me fall in love with her, her voice, her look in the video Wish she played it on tour!
  17. But the difference is that Cher released that single/album in 1998 when people still bought CDs... in 2014 things are quite different
  18. I love the Drowned World Tour, I remember watching it on HBO the day it was broadcast. I was fascinated by the stunning costumes and stage presence. Undoubtedly, it is the tour that set the standards for what it would come later. The only bad side was her look, she look exhausted by the time she got to the US. The same look she had during Swept Away which was awful Anyways, the audio of the show was always broadcast on radio specials so I have fond memories of the whole show, the order of the songs and how well they were chosen. It also had that darkness that we didn't see again til the MDNA Tour, the theatricals and stuff. RIT was dramatic too but more light-hearted.
  19. 2000 here... I've got lovely memories discovering her music and career details throughout the years.. visiting "madonnamusic.com" was THE experience back then. I was only 10 years old, now I'm 23 and love her to death, no matter what
  20. I'm still waiting for the Japanese tourbook I bought on ebay :calm: It's sad that songs from the True Blue album, apart from the hit singles, were not played anymore on any Madonna tour. The woman sure knows how to remain relevant and up-to-date with every show she does. Guess it's part of her formula, not to run out of ideas and bore people with the same shit lolz I love the photo used on the VHS, DVD, and Laserdisc release!
