  1. That would be a dream. I don't think it's going to happen. Frozen RIT version would be AMAZING. I don't like Rain here: no harmonies and no bridge, it's boring. It makes me sad.
  2. At this point, I'd like to know an opinion from somebody who was there
  3. I would have loved Candy Shop. And yes, it was rehearsed
  4. I received some information in April and May, but after that, there was no further communication with this guy I know (he's an old friend of mine). Initially, I was informed that during the rehearsals, the plan was to open the show with Celebration, followed by Nothing Really Matters with Frozen and The Power Of Goodbye as encore/closing song. I believe these details to be accurate as I had been provided with a list of the songs that were being practiced, which aligned with the final setlist and the information shared by DrownedMadonna. La Isla Bonita was there, for sure. However, in May, I was informed that the opening song had been changed to Nothing Really Matters, and the closing songs would now be BIM and Celebration. I received a list of the songs that were being rehearsed, but I didn't hear anything more about The Power Of Goodbye, it was there after Frozen, followed by Like A Virgin, Bitch I'm Madonna + Celebration. Then I think TPOG, as well as other songs, was cut off. I knew nothing about Rain.
  5. I pretty much agree here. When she's doing choreography and is short of breath, it's normal for her to either lip-sync or use a pre-recorded voice at a volume equal to or even louder than hers. And if she's smarter, she can do what she's done sometimes (like Celebration during the MDNA Tour): lip-sync in parts where she's short of breath and out of tune and sing live in the easier parts. However, having pre-recorded vocals underneath "Live To Tell" is a bit of a disappointment. The prerecorded voice is too loud and overshadows her live singing. In a song like that, she should sing it herself and use backup singers for the moments where she needs support. It's a bit of a shame; in fact, this performance, as beautiful as it is, doesn't quite compare to the Confessions Tour. There's less soul in it. It's clear that she has little confidence in her voice, she probably has her reasons. She certainly doesn't study singing as she did during the American Life era. But it's perfectly normal for her to use pre-recorded vocals at the same volume as her own in songs where she's dancing and running low on breath. Yes, I was expecting some beautiful reinvention, as he has always done, but with respect to the original arrangements... somewhat like what he did for "Live To Tell" during the Confessions Tour. However, it seems like he has put very little of his own into it. But that's okay. I'm happy to listen to original versions (but why LAP is not the original one, why?) She had already rehearsed La Isla Bonita months before, even before she faced a serious health situation. I had information about the setlist in May, and LIB was on it. I also don't think we'll see Oh Father and Sorry, unfortunately. The show is very "packaged." Maybe we'll see Frozen instead of Rain... and I hope so because I found this version of "Rain" quite boring. Without the bridge, the song loses its reason for being.
  6. It's true and I do agree with you. Autotune is used by many in pop music (Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Bieber, even The Weeknd). I don't think Beyoncé uses it, but it's possibile and I can't say for sure because I rarely listen to pop music. It makes great singers sound like they’re giving their best performance, addressing minor pitch issues now and then, especially when using IEMs, which can disrupt some singers' pitch sensitivity. Conversely, it can worsen the performance of less skilled singers, as it may cause them to go even more out of tune by correcting notes to the nearest pitch (a wrong note if they're really out of tune). This was evident during Madonna's Eurovision LAP performance. If a singer frequently goes out of tune, it requires more settings than just the standard chromatic scale setting which is the most used. It's not a revolutionary tool, and it shouldn't be shocking. Personally, though, I prefer a more moderate use of it because it takes away a lot of emotion from the voice. I'd rather have substantial support from backup singers (similar to what she did on the Rebel Heart Tour) and autotune just in few parts. But I understand why she uses it; she no longer has the voice she had in the American Life era, and she probably has other things to focus on in her live. I still prefer autotune to full lip sync. If I point out that she uses it (she doesn't use it on every single note of the concert, but she uses it extensively), no one should take offense 🤷‍♂️
  7. I appreciate your interest, but my goal here is simply to discuss Madonna's performance. If you have any observations or comments about her performance, I'd be happy to hear them. I don't believe my songs are relevant to this discussion. I also work in a different music genre, and I don't think it's necessary to discuss it to demonstrate my musical expertise. However, I do have knowledge of autotune, since years ago I briefly took a course on audio engineering (which I abandoned) where I learned to use Melodyne. If you have any questions about vocal techniques or even the use of autotune, I'm happy to answer! Although I have limited knowledge of real-time autotune, I've only used Melodyne.
  8. I prefer RH's formula. Autotune removes emotions sometimes. Btw, she relies on it just for the most challenging parts
  9. Same. I love Rain, but on this tour I would have preferred she didn't sing it. It's a flat version. Without the bridge, the song loses meaning.
  10. Her dancing in this tour is much better than in the Madame X Tour. She's less energetic and more rigid in her movements compared to the RHT (even the choreography is simpler), but she doesn't move poorly at all! Love this to bits! ♥️
  11. Certainly, she's a singer! Back in the day, before Autotune became a thing, she consistently demonstrated pretty decent pitch control in her performances. Interestingly, back then, many naysayers (and fans too) claimed she couldn't sing. It's funny how the same isn't said about other popstar today who don't have great vocal abilities. Madonna has always had her fair share of people saying, "She can't dance, and she can't sing." But that's never been entirely accurate. Right up until the 2000s, she kept improving her skills in both dancing and singing. In the past, her live singing sometimes led to misunderstandings; many people mistakenly thought she was lip-syncing. Of course, we're talking about folks who weren't well-versed in music and singing, since she often made mistakes that wouldn't have happened in studio recordings if she had been lip-syncing. Her technique was never super-duper amazing, but she could hold her own. In recent years, Madonna has occasionally used pre-recorded vocals amped up louder than her live ones. Many understandably associate this with lip-syncing, although that's not the case. During her time in Evita, Madonna started to work on enhancing her vocal abilities, allowing her to explore new aspects of her voice that were previously out of reach. She even had a vocal coach back in the early '90s/late 80's, but she didn't take singing all that seriously until Evita. Up until the Re-invention Tour and Confessions Tour, her vocal skills remained solid However, after that era, she neglected her vocal instrument, leading to a period of really bad vocal performances. She did get better during the RHT, though she didn't quite reach the levels of the RIT or the CT1. In this CT2 tour, everyone's like, "Madonna's voice is perfect!" But here's the deal: she's dropped the original song keys way down (which makes sense), and she's using Autotune extensively, even in her ballads. Being a singer myself and having spent time in recording studios, I've got a trained ear, and I can instantly pick up on Autotune, Melodyne, and similar effects.
  12. When I said "don't be so sure she removed her butt implants", many fans were pissed off in this forum. Like milingo83. She still has them. Period.
  13. Great topic! Do you also have the pre-show songs of RIT and CT1?
  14. The stage looks really cool, but I see some gaps... How will she get to the central catwalk? With small jumps? I wanna know which will be the best spot to watch the show. At the RHT it was the end of the central catwalk. Who knows this time
  15. Let's say they weren't the only ones with information (an old friend had already given me this information in May), so with their suggestions, it didn't take long for someone to mention Mother and Father. I also knew the list of songs she had tried up until then since May, and I shared some of them around. But I only shared this information recently. I asked the very few people to whom I gave the list not to spill the beans, but someone did. It's okay, not a problem, ahah.
  16. Is he still her make up artist? I read he isn't anymore P.S. Sorry guys for this triple message. I don't know what happenes

  19. Music is one of her best produced singles. Like a techno song, so many layers and great sound design. Hope she didn't remove it from the tour.
  20. The reason is exactly this😬 At the AMAs, she performed it quite well, but she was nervous because it's one of the most challenging songs in her repertoire to sing, considering it immediately highlights her specific technical difficulties. The first time she sang it at the Rebel Heart Tour, she sang it in the original key, including the bridge (But how was I to know which way the story goes). She struggled a lot and missed a lot of notes from start to finish. In the following performances of Take A Bow during the tour, she lowered the key and removed the bridge. Still, she had difficulty hitting several notes, and her performance was passable, thanks in large part to the substantial support from the backing vocalists. I understand why she doesn't feel up to it today. And with a vocoder she would disrespect the song.
  21. Please... The absence of the band will be noticeable. Not everyone may notice it, but we music enthusiasts surely will. I really missed Brian Frasier-Moore during the MX Tour. Live drums in many songs make a difference. During the RHT, Brian was amazing. And in the requested/surprise songs, they always managed to do a great job. I'm also thinking of when they played "Rebel Rebel" or "Take a Bow." I hope Price's musical direction is able to compensate for this absence
  22. Having backing vocalists is much better than having a recorded voice, for multiple reasons. That being said, I also believe that Niki and Donna were perfect; they didn't overshadow her, of course they had a prominent space but they added a lot to Madonna's voice, blending perfectly with beautiful harmonies. After them, she had talented backing vocalists, but none as suited to her as Niki and Donna. Nicki RIchards is good, but makes mistakes sometimes and she doesn't fit as well with as them.
  23. Sorry, I read you didn't care, but I was hoping you knew something 😂. I'm a big fan of Pittman; I've been following him on social media for a while, and I know his music (having been a bit of a metalhead myself). I'm curious to dive into this matter. Like, sure, he might have some controversial views, but I can't help but admire his guitar skills, and I think he should keep collaborating with M. Let's not forget he even co-wrote "EASY RIDE" with her ♥️ A great artist remains a great artist, even if they go a little crazy, become a bit edgy, or get mixed up in some sketchy stuff. Caravaggio was a murderer, but we all appreciate his art, right? I still believe he's stayed friends with Madonna, and that Madonna hasn't pushed him away. She wouldn't do that, she also spoke against cancel culture. Anyway, it's a bummer not seeing him on the Celebration Tour.
  24. Let's hope we got correct and up-to-date information. I want Oh Father so badly
