  1. I thought 'I Want You' caused Massive Attack to split up ?
"It's just the white fella and it's Sinead O'Connor doing 'most' on This One !"
    'Oh Fuck !'
.....overheard in a record shop on day of release.
They even had 'security' for the masses who never turned up to buy it !

Why isn't 'Waiting' on this list ?
I'd still buy that for the Instrumental alone on record.
"And now for Record Store Day 2020, we present 'Erotica Special Edition' with The Instrumentals on vinyl too !"
"Ltd Edition double packs only one per customer..." :lol:

No dancers? Is it a like an unplugged one?

'Supposedly' Prince was asked by Michael Jackson for comeback ideas.
Do Elvis in Las Vegas was 'the reply'.
(Have mercy on me, I'm forcing myself to listen to Rebel Heart !
    I've skipped/skimmed One so far.)
Let the f*cking audience do the dancing and just sing woman ! ??
U might get the biggest shock yet.
That OR hire Nile Rodgers and they do That Album 'live' ? :lol:

  3. Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick and quite a few others if I have a think...Patti Labelle !
They all had 'long gaps' between hits and 'comeback' ones.
Even if you HAVE been written off = with the right Management, Promotion and of course Song anyone can have a hit anytime even now.
One good thing about the rise of the d-l and shit or no royalties any more guaranteed.
Many acts have had to go back to touring.
After the 00's all previous eras ['coz of streaming etc] are fair game.
Was it Weezer who just re-made Toto's Africa  ?
all all these young folk have never heard of them = radio - wassat ?
    Dusty Springfield !
She should go back to non-digital forms of recording.
Is that why her early stuff isn't so leaky in 'wave' ?

    Thank you for sharing this.

FYI Re: I mean, "Feel it in your body, sing la de da de," seriously?

This tune is on some mid-90s, Tommy Hilfiger wearing, baggy pants with your midriff out shit. Madonna was out for those TLC coins at this point in time, doing the most to get into the pocketbooks and headphones of "African American consumers".

The "Sing La Di Da Di" is a shoutout to NYC rapper Slick Rick and his timeless party anthem "La Di Da Di" because "we like to party, we don't want no trouble and don't wanna hurt nobody". The carefree ride of Don't Stop is very close to that tune in theme and lyrics, even "come on join the party" is close to that lyric in M's song.

    Hi,
I can't really believe that 'silliness' in Mage101 scores that much ?
Smash Hits magazine in the UK was very silly but it could make some tunes flop more than any glowing review in say the NME.
It's review of 'Hanky Panky' was more or less = "Madonna rhymes Hanky with Panky & Spanky = Hello this woman is 35 ?"
Don't Stop sort of reminds me Ain't No Big Deal, it's kinda faux soul but is much better.
There's 3 different produced demos of that ?
It sounds like a few songs stuck together to me ! xx

The music and melody of the song is great, but the lyrics are embarrassing. I get that it's supposed to be a fun song. It's not that deep, but they could've come up with better lyrics. I mean, "Feel it in your body, sing la de da de," seriously?  :cryin:

And yet SOME can 'intellectualise' lyrics like "I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, in l o v e !"..............?
Sing La de da de.....IS GENIUS !
Nearly as 'fuck-it=it sounds RIGHT'......-ly brilliant as 'sing-y-wing-y'.....no ? :thinker:

While I don't think LFL was a great song, it had first single written all over it.

I was meaning like Ray Of Light, Erotica....that kinda thing.
It was 'nice', I liked the Haddaway mashup !
I heard a letter being read out on Points Of View, British viewers will know it ont' BBC.
He complained that....as he had the radio on at work, he counted that 'Dear Jessie' played on BBC Radio 1
    18 times....did have no Other Records ?
I thought that only got released 'coz Prince = He say no, it will 'help' the album sales ??

That would be a little like liking your own posts on facebook, wouldn't it?

    FYI....
Facebook changes it's rules almost hourly it seems
I have read at least one article Not on there that explained how doing so is NOT quite as 'naff' or as un-cool as it's been painted.
The last I checked it was to do with the 'do you want to see first' button thingies that come up on there.
By liking your Own Posts it meant that your 'Friends' got to see everything you posted.
Some only get 'highlights of' and people not seeing stuff.
For the Attention Daft, this sorta thing matters !
The main thing to avoid on there is reminders on Messenger as that's wide open for bugs to enter AND they know about it do do feck all.

    ps
    A Madonna Movie ?
Not while she's still aiming for The Charts.
How many women have managed to do justice to Marilyn Monroe ?
I can think of about 2 or 3.
A NO MUSIC film about her could be amazing but I doubt it would ever get made.
    'Like A Script'....................any one ?

  8. Frank Zappa took the artwork from a bunch of bootleg CD's & reprinted them himself.
I think some had 'extras' too.
He said 'if people want this....'
    And he pocketed the cheque.
It's hard enough trying to FIND a Lossless/CD quality of so many of her Madgeness' that it's sadly no surprise.
U really mean to say if my fascination with this woman really picks up...I'd have to buy bootleg DVD's ?
Be happy = U CAN...say a million Donna Summer, etc etc etc Fans ?

  9. Your song “Impressive Instant” perfectly captures the druggy euphoria of a good club — that sense of abandon.
Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean, I suppose there is a drug-addled sensibility running through that song. I mean, we all have that side to us. I’d like to go out, too, and draw up some E and stay out for two days — but I can’t. Can I? [Laughs] No, because I have to think about the repercussions. And also, I don’t feel like feeling like shit for a week. So that’s what stops me.

It says in the intro it 'will' be a massive club hit ?
    Maybe if it hadn't been re-mixed ??
I'd love to have heard an Extended Version that was 'just' loooonger, ie no added groove/beats.
    Was there ever one ???
