She has become famous for unashamedly posing in various states of undress.
But Madonna cut an unusually demure figure as she jetted into New York City on Saturday. 
The 55-year-old singer sported an all-black ensemble that consisted of a blazer, ripped trousers, and a pair of matching platform shoes for her arrival with daughter Mercy.
 

 
Madonna was likely returning from a trip to Mali where she posted several Instagram shots showing construction of a school in the west African country.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker gently held onto her daughter's hand as they strolled through JFK airport alongside what appeared to be their ever-present entourage.
The singer appeared to have travelled lightly with a black purse and beige guitar case, while a belt with golden studs added a touch of glam to her outfit. 
Madonna's adopted daughter Mercy James clasped her mother's hand and kept comfortable in a floral print white tank top and black trousers.
 

 
On Saturday, Madonna took to Instagram to document an up-and-coming secondary school in Mali. 
Madonna's organization, the Ray Of Light Foundation, has teamed up with buildON to build a secondary school in Mali, the Ray Of Light website states. 
The mother-of-four's Instagram snaps proudly shared the efforts, which captured both an image of the secondary school, along with a photo of two smiling women assisting in the construction of the building.
 

 

 

I think one is going to open eventually in NYC. It's a pretty niche gym where ever it is placed. The people who want to go will eventually seek it out. Here they have a deal with the condo it's in - so people who live there get free membership. So not necessarily Madonna fans, and honestly the gym here started off pretty slow - but word of mouth has spread and it's getting busier and busier. Because it's a great facility and the classes are awesome

What is your favorite tour closer?

I like both. Avicii's 'True has a great mix of songs. The digital electronics was amazing and the different styles make the songs unique. Can't wait to see what Madonna and he comes up with. As for Diplo, I enjoy his Express Yourself EP. Great melodies and vocals, good changes in pieces and between them, explosive rhythm, variety in alternations. Again can't wait to see what Madonna and he cooks up.

I hope she drops 2 singles before the album. Having 2 strong hits would surely help the album sale when it's released. But she did that only once with the True Blue album - LTT and PDP.

They gym here in Toronto is awesome. The only thing is it doesn't have a pool like the others, but it's pretty reasonable per month. When it came here I thought it was going to be crazy expensive, but for what you get it's not bad. The classes are great, the opening was total chaos. If she hasn't visited a gym she most likely will (if it needs the help of an appearance), the one in Toronto she visited well after it opened.
