setlist, choreography, stage set, cohesion = transgression from mdna tour

it really is a matter of taste. ct has this very classy/epic/goddess-like vibe, which is amazing, meanwhile s&st is about fun/high energy. as stated before, unfortunately the dvd doesn't do it justice - and it becomes ultimately our reference for the concert. that's why i kinda have a problem with those "rank the tours" or "rank the performances" threads... there are so many elements to take in consideration and we tend to just look at the video release. i wish we were able to have a different release for this tour. and mdna.

i honestly can't recall what wasn't new or creative on this tour, except for "ray of light" which clearly was a bad version from the confessions tour. everything else seems pretty well thought to me.

i don't think she'd ever use ONE theme for a concert. it could go dull cause we're so used to how she uses segments. "voices" was sampled in "get stupid".

how does it not promote it??? from the 12 tracks of the album only 2 were not used, and all of them got great performances.

the first madonna concert i went to. shame the dvd didn't capture the magic of the intro with the screens opening and closing... amazing show!!!! and the rendition of vogue was AWESOME!!!

yep! this is super clear during the performance in birmingham, when the motel didn't come to the stage she messes up the lyrics and you can hear the backing track during the beginning

This seems pretty accurate. Agree with @@Dazedmadonna corrections, but I'm pretty sure She's Not Me in both legs from the S&ST was (Sung Live with Backing Track Assistance). For the Blond Ambition World Tour (1990) I'd say: Express Yourself (Lip Synched) Papa Don't Preach (Sung Live with Backing Track Assistance) Into the Groove (Sung Live with Backing Track Assistance)

Across the Sky is AMAZING!!!! I would have ditched Voices...

it really depends... sticky & sweet took a really long time to be released, no? cause of the part 2 and everything...

with "la vie en rose" i think it would be magical if it was filmed in paris...

i had no idea that happened! i found a video... they held a (piano - if i'm not wrong) note from the end of "human nature" until "love spent" started. no speech.
