  1. Kylie Minogue - totally live start to finish. Occasional backing track in choruses but always way quieter than her lead, strong live vocal. Hate to say it but yes, some artists do indeed sing a totally live show.
  2. She’s singing live but the guide track and effects are way stronger than previous tours. True, but back on GS it was mild backing tracks when she was singing live, and on DWT to RIT, no lead vocal backing tracks, she’s slowly upped her track game on tours since.
  3. Express Yourself on RIT she sounded strong without a lead vocal track, she even came into too early in Boston and sounded terrific.
  4. There was an article years ago explaining that that mic was unique and I always wondered why they bothered lol... Indeed x
  5. Ha, to be honest I’ve never heard any evidence of Vogue having live vocals on RIT, at least not on the Manchester bootleg. Personally I think it’s wrong using a prerecorded lead, but I won’t go into that, it’s whatever you value in live music I suppose... I much prefer the S&S performance of the song!
  6. While I’d rather she just cancel the tour and get herself better, this is the proudest I’ve been as a fan so far on this tour because that apology actually feels genuine and she’s let people know in advance whilst acknowledging the problem.
  7. No she doesn’t. It’s a prerecorded track. Even the real band are playing only partially over a base recording. next you’ll be saying the piano on S&S was real too... she doesn’t mind instruments being faked, remember Lola in Tel Aviv?
  8. Not at all. You can hear prerecorded loud lead vocals all over the show. Not necessarily every line, but they’re everywhere. There’s also audible real time pitch correction on every single line of the concert... even Papa Dont Preach sounded a tad robotic, the only songs that sound raw are Sodade and Welcome to my Fado Club. Don’t forget real time pitch correction won’t correct a terrible performance, it will simply move a wobbled note to the correct note in a set key register, and it’s only really noticeable when you’re miles away from where you should be. Her voice is really very decent this time, so the pitch correction is hardly noticeable when she isn’t using a Vocoder. i disagree with that fan that says she sounds terrible. She doesn’t, she sounds the best she has since 2004... she’s got a lot of help though this time that she wouldn’t have had then. Medellin the other week when the lead vocal track skipped, and there was absolutely no audible live vocal underneath, regardless of which video or bootleg audio you listened on. She is singing, but she’s hardly in the mix the crowd hears for parts of this show. This is evocative of LFL at the Brits, where audience footage showed that there were no live vocals audible to the crowd as when she fell there was no audio change, and that the live vocals were only heard by the TV audience not the O2 audience.
  9. To the guy who wrote that he noticed during last nights show that most of the concert is a prerecorded track with some live vocals over the top... it’s true yes, this has been mentioned countless times now. There is a lead vocal prerecorded guide track for every song in the show and she just sings underneath it through auto tune and vocoders. Even frozen has auto tune, it’s just not to the robotic extent. Its very obvious on every bootleg. Personally I’ll never understand the need for lead vocal backing tracks. The first time she ever really did it was 2015 at the Grammys/Brits, but she does it nearly all the time now. as for faking the piano, yes we know , but she’s never been know as a pianist, just view it as a prop. just be glad you got to see her live this time! X
  10. She has no integrity, she gave that up last night. I’m so disappointed because I was hoping to get down to see the show next week.
  11. Glad I’ve had my show planned but not actually bought the tickets... This seals it, I’m certainly not going. £500 for a partial show? Certainly not.
  12. She’s got to be joking. so much for not compromising the artistic integrity of the show... She has ‘integrity’ when it suits her, clearly.
  13. Visually it doesn't look that amazing on the footage out so far, but vocally it sounds gorgeous. Shame about the prerecorded backing music!
  14. It wouldn't have been her own choice, it would have been the in house musical director. Late last year I attended a filming of a British singers UK weekly variety show that airs its new series this year. The singers voice is virtually powerhouse perfect all of the time, Shirley Bassey meets Donna Summer style singer, and both hers and every guests performance had to be repeated up to four times to get every angle and note perfect, and then the audience had to watch it played back on the screen and dance like crazy. It was wonderful As for Borderline, three times and she still didn't get that YEAAAAAAAHHHHHH very pleasant on the ears. I love that performance though!
  15. I totally disagree. I would argue that American Life is unnecessary however. Sodade is gorgeous and shouldn't have been retired. Crazy is a crap song so I wish that would go before I see the show too, alongside that woefully flat, powerless version of like Like a Prayer. The rest of the set list is perfect in my eyes.
  16. Well if that actually is her attitude, she deserves she gets for the arrogance. The fact she is climbing a ladder to the stage with a duff knee and then cancelling shows and letting down fans, leaving them out of pocket just screams disrespect to me. She can hardly be said to be trying her best to continue the tour if she's climbing unnecessary ladders and wearing heels. Swallow some pride woman, adapt.
  17. Is there a reason rocco always has to dress like a 1920s movie pimp? It's like he gets dressed in a dark fancy dress closet.
  18. Exactly. Some people still carry the illusion that M is biggest powerhouse in touring and pop. She isn't. That was 2008/2009 when she was playing to 70,000 in stadiums in one city... Nowadays she's playing to that across a month on one continent. It's life. Things change.
  19. Personally I dont buy it, but I'm glad she broke the silence. I'd sooner she canned the tour well in advance of the next dates, and took time out. It's strange how the best reviewed tour in years critically has been an absolute PR disaster and she's managed to lose more fans this era than ever before. I do however think damage control could still be possible in a very legacy artist kinda way.
  20. Lmao, more chance of peace in the middle east than that actually happening x
  21. She was allegedly late for RHT Manchester (infamous disaster bad mood early finish show) because of Rocco issues and a phone call... Coming on stage at 2155 and having to leave at 2330.
  22. Because she couldn't possibly have performed Candy Shop, and feels she's already performed it to the best of her ability on RHT, I hear she has actually re-recorded a new gospel version and will instead dub it over the Like a Prayer performance. She doesn't mind how fake it will look, because the sound hasn't matched her mouth or facial expression on a music DVD in over ten years. All Hail Candy Prayer 1990.
