I love this! Britney is responsible for making me a Madonna stan too. I have always loved both women and I love that they have love for one another.

I swear as I was watching the live stream I was thinking “oh ok, she’s gonna ‘pretend’ to end with Rain and then come back and do a huge proper finale” and then the lights came on… wow

OMG I’m in shock… I was excited for the ending to be better and then this happened… what is going on?!?

Ok, so I've had time to sort of reflect on The Celebration Tour after watching some better quality videos and looking at professional pictures and want to share my opinion now. So for starters, the setlist is fantastic! Yes there are some glaring omissions such as Frozen, Music (full version), Express Yourself, and others. However, that all being said, this setlist is fantastic and appeals to everyone! I feel like it has a wide variety and there is something for everyone. Nothing Really Matters, Bad Girl, and Bedtime Stories have never been performed on any tour so they appeal to long time die hard fans that have been dying for them to appear in the setlist. Holiday, Everybody, Hung Up, Vogue, etc. are all here and they appeal to the fans that want the massive hits. Honestly, it would be hard for her to please everyone. Her catalog is so massive and she would have to be on stage for like 6 hours to please everyone in terms of setlist selection. Also, Stuart Price did an amazing job mixing elements of songs into the set. So the setlist is great! I will say, I'm not a huge fan of some of the costumes. I do LOVE the body suit she wore during the Ray of Light segment, mama looked incredible! The red dress was sexy and fit perfect for her singing Bad Girl in it. The others, didn't really appeal to me personally, they aren't bad per say but I just personally don't like them. I don't really understand the point of Bob the Drag Queen being there. I know Madonna probably wanted something different, but for me it didn't feel necessary for him to be there. Maybe he could serve as a hype man at the beginning, but having throughout the show seems unnecessary in my honest opinion. The interludes, backdrop videos, and overall visuals are TOP NOTCH. Excellent!

I’ve always loved MATM! The original solo demo version really showcases Britney’s deep vocal tones. The released version is great too. Madonna really added to the song and it almost feels like the two are battling it out while having a duet at the same time. I can understand why it wasn’t a massive #1 smash hit on Billboard because it was sort of different and not your typical Pop song. They video definitely captures that battle duet too with the two of them having a sort of cat and mouse hunt with each other. I’ve been a Britney stan since 1998 when “…Baby One More Time” was released. During this time period is when Britney performed with Madonna and talked highly of her in interviews. It clear to see that over the years how much of a stan of Madonna Britney is, which in turn turned me into a Madonna stan. My mom was already a Madonna stan so Madonna’s music was already a constant in our household, but during this era is what turned me into a stan.

I would love if she did a volume every few years. Start with the Madonna era, then Like A Virgin, etc. and put out Unreleased Vol. 1, Vol. 2 a year later, etc. She could released them every December as an Xmas gift to her fans. Keep it going until there's nothing left.
