Nahh, excuses. Kylie recorded a full concert during the pandemic, also Kygo, Dua Lipa, Miley and other big names around the world. And they released it in one month...

Madonna had it recorded since the beginning of 2020, the same happened with Rebel Heart without pandemic.

yes, but they were not editing their concert footage that much.

I'm curious to know where the shots from the God Control video and from the world of Madame X are going to fit in.

It will be great for general audiences to explain the background of the album and some of the songs.

Obviously before God Control and Vogue.

Maybe they’re showing the IDSIF performance from the tour film. That’s it  :eyes:

That should be done as a promo video for the tour film including the footage shot in NYC lately.

It's not clear at all for Europe airing...

Will it be broadcast on MTV TV ? On MTV replay or an MTV paying app ? It's been ages MTV is not dedicated to music anymore and in France where I live, MTV is a channel nobody watch anymore....

is the MTV schedule online for October?

I really think Madame X is gonna be a long-form video showing the concert and an extensive documentary presenting the genesis of the album and the development of the tour with lots of BTS. if so, I'd be satisfied with the wait! if not, I'd still be happy to be able to watch the show on video.

no news about the MTV airing?

i think it's just the show with some backstage / docu inserts similar to RHT

Omg people have that opinion....? :Madonna006: :Madonna006:

i guess the RHT stage was designed specifically so long, to "stretch" M's choreography and include more walking parts (so it seems like she is moving more). The Madame X Tour is more compact and it looks like she is not dancing that much. Anyway, the tour is not what we expected, i guess everyone was expecting something similar to TOC including X Static Process, Easy Ride etc. People are moaning about the setlist, although it includes most of her biggest hits (with some of them  missing). Just imagine the setlist as it is, without HN, Frozen, Prayer etc...? Is there enough time for Easy Ride etc...? The show is over 2:30 minutes long allready. Hopefully it will be released on BluRay/CD. Just imagine, how "boring" it would be with XStatic Process and Easy Ride on it. If you want to listen to these songs, just put the AL record on.

Rescue me should’ve been after Batuka with new Batukadeiras Remix it would’ve been amazing and I will add Paradise (Not for me) as the spoken words interlude before Frozen

I also thought about that. The Titanic Vocal Version is basically what you mean... The choir really fits the whole show and it's a missed opportunity, although i would still stick to it being performed after IDS and replace AL by Easy Ride with a video interlude showcasing her hometown and landscape / horseriding.

In that case the 3rd song in the show shouldn’t have been American Life TOAC version haha.
Rescue Me deserved a full live performance after 30 years

it would perfectly fit right after I Don't Search. And in that rehearsal clip it sounded like the ending of Rescue Me merged right into AmericaLife. I've read it was also supposed to be in the 1st act, similar to the original mix with new vocals between IDS and American Life, but later on they didn't manage to do the performance/choreo and made an interlude out of it. Falling Free was meant to be an interlude between Extreme Occident and Frozen and You Must Love Me and WIFLFAG were acoustic sogs, that were rehearsed for the second section. Same was done for X-Static Process and Easy Ride (strangely was meant to be in the 1st act)

The biggest missed opportunity in my opinion was "Who's That Girl."

It could have been a substantial contribution to the Madame X persona on tour and there are so many ways in which this song could have been reimagined, most fittingly a dance-reggae version. The fado section was a bit lengthy when I saw it in Paris despite being shortened already, but "Who's That Girl" would really have elevated the mood (and pleased long-time and casual fans) before the typewriter segue into "Medellín."

In my head it makes so much dramaturgical sense: "Who's That Girl" tracing out the elusiveness of the Madame X character, the typewriter intro then going into why she's constantly on the run and then presenting her latest transformation as a cha-cha instructor with "Medellín" – before concluding that journey's cycle with the contemplative "Extreme Occident" looking for a benchmark and steadiness of character.

it seems like she has her favorites from each decade / songs she is assuming are very popular (Virgin, La Isla, Open Your Heart, Prayer, Express Yourself, Vogue, Human Nature, Frozen, Music, Ray of Light, Music, Candy Shop) and would rather include most songs from every recent album.

This. Literally the most unnecessary part of the show. Couldn't believe some fans were bummed when this was axed. It was cruise ship level production and choreography. I could have seen it replacing that first Portuguese song....forget what it was called. Where it was just her and an instrument at the front of the stage. A stripped back unplugged version would have been amazing.

Future was also very out of place, though an amazing arrangement. Should have closed the first section after American Life, and Come Alive should have gone into a few hits towards the end, like Holiday, Music, Hung Up, etc. A few uplifting hits at the end to keep the casuals satisfied. Ah well.

i guess the 2 cover songs will be cut and probably Batuka Prayer and Rescue Me will be shortened.

To be honest I am already disappointed. The colours are ugly as fucked, like MDNA tour! Why she constantly does that, she''s so much nicer without those extract effects making her either yellow cream of white ghost. As simple as SAST tour would be much better...

the colors of the MDNA film were horrible. She even looked younger in person. The lightning was one of the main elements of the MDNA Tour. Just look at this:
