Let's not forget about Autotune Baby
I was talking about MDNA, and said the songs I mentioned were some of the worst songs she ever recorded. Also I'd rather listen to Auto-Tune Baby than B-Day Song, though both are atrocious.
At least ATB is a very obsure track only released in a special edition in Germany, Superstar got released in the standard edition of MDNA, and B-Day Song almost took the spot of Love Spent.

You're right. After I posted, I looked at the track listings on my CD and didn't see it listed as "demo". To me, it seems like it was implied as a demo being it was created on tour and it's not as polished as COADF version. But I think most of us fans differentiate it as the "Rock version" as well.
The Promo CDr lists it as "Rock Version", so that would be the closest thing to a proper, correct labelling of that version (the CDs had no mention of it being any different from the Confessions version, and the Spotify version had it listed as "I Love New York - Live").

Despite this it is commonly known that this rock version is an early version. It was probably mastered for the live album, just like how Back That Up got mastered when its demo got released.

They have multitrack so it's not very difficult to work on it. Do we know if Your honesty was totally finished in 1994 ?
Just hoping.
Yes it was. Most of Dallas Austin's work from Bedtime Stories was remixed near the end of the album completion in hopes to give it more of a pop feel, less urban.
Daniel Abraham reworked "Keep On" as "Don't Stop", and "Honesty" was reworked as "Your Honesty". Though as we know only "Don't Stop" made it to the album. "Your Honesty" was then set to appear on the 2003 boxset that got scrapped and the song instead appeared on Remixed and Revisited.
Secret is the only song that appeared on the album with Austin's production intact. Let Down Your Guard and Freedom were later released, but as rare tracks, and Right on Time was left unreleased.

Probably MDNA for me. There are some good songs in it but the only song I think is truly great is Love Spent.
Superstar and B-Day Song never should have been released, they are some of the worst songs she ever did.

Don’t Stop (original version by Dallas Austin)
Forbidden Love (original version by Babyface)
Inside of Me (original version of Dave Hall)
Yes I did mention Keep On, which is the earlier name of Don't Stop.

I honestly don't expect all of the Pettibone sessions to be included as part of these 6 demos. If anything I wouldn't be surprised if some of these tracks are already released B-Sides.
Here's what they could pull from from what we know:
Previously released, rare tracks:
-Let Down Your Guard
-Freedom
-Your Honesty
Previously unreleased tracks:
-Love Won't Wait (prod. by Shep Pettibone)
-Bring It (prod. by Shep Pettibone)
-Goodtime (prod. by Shep Pettibone)
-Tongue Tied (prod. by Shep Pettibone)
-Right on Time (prod. by Dallas Austin)
Previously unreleased demos:
-Survival (original version by Dallas Austin)
-Something's Coming Over (original version by Shep Pettibone)
-I'd Rather Be Your Lover (original version feat. 2pac)
-Keep On (original version by Dallas Austin)
-I Will Always Have You (original version by Shep Pettibone)
-Sanctuary (original version by Dallas Austin)
-Honesty (original version by Dallas Austin)

The Video Edit of "Into The Groove" is just the normal song with the added intro dialogue from the movie, right? Was it ever officially released anywhere (on audio format)?
It's a shorter version by almost a minute, and was never released commercially.

For ROL on Celebration Tour, I thought she did live for all but the Rio broadcast made use of her pre-recorded vocals.
If you compare the actual Rio show and Mexico shows to the broadcast, these are the same pre-recorded vocals playing, minus the fact that the version on the Rio show is shorter than all the other shows.

What about including Madame X and Celebration Tours ?
The Madame X Tour:
-Everything before the first verse as well as the rap part in Vogue were lipped during the entirety of the tour.
-The highly autotuned parts right before the spoken part of Dark Ballet were lipped.
Celebration Tour:
-Everybody's choruses were lipped during the entirety of the tour, she sings along the playback but is inaudible on most dates. It was lipped to pre-recorded vocals in its entirety during the Mexico and Rio shows.
-Into the Groove was lipped in its entirety during the Mexico and Rio shows, besides when she shouts "You've got to" at the very end.
-Erotica's spoken parts and Justify My Love were lipped during the entirety of the tour..
-Mother and Father's final part (after the last chorus) was lipped during the Mexico shows.
-Ray of Light was lipped during the Mexico and Rio shows.
-
That would be my tracklist:
01. Nothing Really Matters
02. Everybody
03. Into the Groove
04. Holiday
05. Live to Tell
06. Like a Prayer
07. Erotica/You Thrill Me
08. Hung Up
09. Bad Girl
10. Vogue
11. Don't Tell Me
12. Bedtime Story
13. Ray of Light
14. Bitch I'm Madonna
In case it would be a 1CD version of the Rio show, then I'd also include Music.

Hey everyone!
As some of you may know, i organized megarates some time ago and i really liked to do it. It was really great to see what the community thought of Madonna's songs and we all exchanged about her work which was a fun time. I had to stop the games but am ready to start again. Would you be up for it? I was waiting for the reissues so that we would have some new tracks but... yeah...
This would have been posted as a status update if still available. But I would like to know if there's demand for this as it's a lot of work for me as well. What do you think? I think starting with the Madonna videography megarate that I never did could be a good idea, and then restarting to do what we did two years ago. Let me know what you think!

Hopefully if it is a Bedtime Story reissue they include the Something To Remember songs that didn't make the cut.
- You'll Stay (STR demo)
- Never Love A Stranger (STR demo)
- I'll Be Gone (STR demo)
While NLAS and IBG sound Bedtime Stories-ish due to being produced by Babyface, these are Ray of Light outtakes. You'll Stay wouldn't fit at all in Bedtime Stories. Otherwise "Arioso" and "Like an Angel..." would be put in a Ray of Light deluxe edition, but they belong to Music.
I also feel like the Something to Remember outtakes could be on a Ray of Light deluxe edition instead. I Can't Forget was recorded as "Come Closer" by the group Tilt and sounds like it could be a Ray of Light outtake, so maybe Madonna reworked it during the Ray of Light sessions. "Indian Summer", from the small snippet we've heard, wouldn't feel too out of place either. Adding these two STR outtakes to the known Ray of Light outtakes and you already have a complete second disc to fill that reissue.
01. Has to Be
02. Be Careful
03. Revenge
04. Like a Flower
05. Gone Gone Gone
06. Alone Again
07. You'll Stay
08. Never Love a Stranger
09. I'll Be Gone
10. (3rd confirmed Babyface track)
11. Come Closer (aka I Can't Forget)
12. Indian Summer
13. Beautiful Stranger

Since we don't have all the dates confirmed, we can only speculate, but that would be my guess from oldest version to newest:
1. Goodbye to Innocence (Straight Pass) [from The Rain Tapes] - 5:57
2. Goodbye to Innocence (Final Edit) [from The Rain Tapes] - 5:36
3. Goodbye to Innocence (Demo) [from the Demo Assembly] - 4:57
4. Goodbye to Innocence (Final Demo Version) [from Erotica - Demo Tape 15.08.1992] - 4:39
5. Goodbye to Innocence (Released Version) [from Just Say Roe] - 4:52

I really like the song, one of her great soundtrack singles. Same as one of the members here, my first memory of the track was on the 93:99 video collection DVD. I thought the video was fun back then, and I still do now. Then I remember the Drowned World Tour performance as my parents also had that DVD, and the first time I actually heard it on a CD player was a bit after during one summer vacation when my grandparents bought me the GHV2 CD (along with Bedtime Stories) and I had it on repeat.
Was always used to the William Orbit Radio Edit and only discovered the full version back in 2009 when Celebration came out. Hearing that ending still feel so weird to me and I end up listening to the edit version more.

i'd add "stay" to that list
for some reason her second album sounds more dated than the first
"Stay" is on the same level for me, nothing more than a filler track. Though if I had to erase either "Stay" or "Think of Me" from her discography, I'd erase "Think of Me".

Is it? Debut is amazing and so is Think of Me
I would say The First Album is better than Like a Virgin overall, no doubt for me.
But to say that "Think of Me" is better than "Dress You Up", "Like a Virgin" or "Material Girl"? That's unheard of. But to each of their own I personnally think that "Think of Me" is only better than "Pretender" and "Shoo-Bee-Doo". It's not a bad song, but clearly feels like filler in an otherwise really good album.

I would have went with American Life if it wasn't for the Love Profusion video.
Overall I think the Ray of Light era has my favorite set of videos, as I don't dislike any. The Erotica era has some of my absolute favorite videos, but I'm not really fond of the Deeper and Deeper video.

"Don't Stop" would have probably done better commercially had it been released as the 4th single instead of "Human Nature" as Warner planned after it was played on the radio instead of "Bedtime Story". However it really doesn't feel like a classic tune. It's a cute little filler and as that, it serves its purpose.
"Human Nature" had much more of an identity. The video is amazing too. It was a bold choice and wasn't going to do as great but was a great artistic statement. I guess the fans are more tired of it nowadays since she performed the song A LOT since 2008 (every tour except the Rebel Heart Tour actually), but it pretty much feels like M's motto song nowadays. She's not sorry.

If I could only choose 5 tracks from MDNA to make an EP, it would probably be these ones:
1. Girl Gone Wild
2. Gang Bang
3. I'm Addicted
4. Love Spent
5. Masterpiece
Though "Falling Free" and "Beautiful Killer" were also good songs.

As I was really used to some of these versions, being the ones that I first discovered when I was a kid, they tend to be my favorites. I don't mind the echoey feeling at all.
Holiday, Like a Virgin, Material Girl, Crazy for You, Into the Groove, Live to Tell, Express Yourself and Vogue are all here as my favorite versions.
And of course Justify My Love is excellent too. Rescue Me I prefer the slighly shorter Single Mix.
9/17 tracks that I listen to regularly, not too bad. It's still one of the greatest compilations ever made to this day.

I thought that some of the songs from hard Candy were also considered for the musical.
"Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" and "How High" were initially written for Hello Suckers.
The second verse of "Is This Love (Bon d'Accord)" was reused as the first verse in "Voices". A line of "Miss You" was also reused in "Like It or Not".
"Hung Up" and "I Love New York" were initially for the Luc Besson musical.
Not from the musicals but done around the same time, "Keep the Trance" was later reworked into "Hey You", with lots of the same lyrics.

I love her reactions, been following her for quite some time now, she'll do the videos after the albums.
