  5. It was this week in 1983 that MTV added "Burning Up" to their line up.  Unfortunately, it wasn't so popular, and it wouldn't be until the release of the Borderline video in 1984 that she really found success on MTV.  We could only imagine if Holiday got an official video if her status on MTV would have been stronger.

  6. It was Sept 29th, 1992 that the single EROTICA was released to radio:

  7. Hello all you cyber-heads, on September 27th, in 1994, Madonna released the lead single "Secret" from her upcoming Bedtime Stories album. It was the first time, Madonna engaged herself on the internet, leaving a special message, introducing the new track. So what was your impression of this song when you first heard it?

I've spent many nights dreaming of burying my face in her chest and well just staying relaxing there for a long time to avoid life.  Well still do.  LOL.  She has/had the perfect chest.

That picture is iconic as was her walk down the runway.  I did not know though charity benefited from that night as well.  Cool

      What you see
Is not necessarily what you get
Eyes are the window to the soul
      Take your judgements
      And let them go

I wonder what the set list would have looked like without the songs from "I'm Breathless".

@Holger judging from an early draft of the BAT, Everybody & Physical Attraction would have been included. The latter was originally on setlist instead of Where's The Party. Vogue was meant to go in the Art Deco segment. I'm guessing the other songs would have been Spanish Eyes and Till Death Do Us Part. They might have been replaced Hanky Panky & Sooner or Later.

      1. Express Yourself
      2. Open Your Heart
      3. Causing A Commotion
      4. Physical Attraction
      5. Like A Virgin
      6. Like A Prayer
      7. Oh Father / Live To Tell
      8. Papa Don't Preach
      9. Till Death Do Us Part
      10. Vogue
      11. Material Girl
      12. Cherish
      13. Spanish Eyes
      14. Holiday
      15. Into The Groove
      16. Everybody
      17. Keep It Together

I could also see La Isla Bonita or Who's That Girl somewhere in the Cherish-Holiday segment.

I think the last person who "Caused A Commotion" at the VMA's was Kanye West when he took that award from Taylor Swift.  2009 I believe.  Or Miley Cyrus dancing in her underwear.

Yeah there's just nothing there now and the show just comes across more tacky to me than anything.

@Blue SkiesThat's right I forgot about that. In fact, I thought that happened at the Grammys or AMA's, but you are right, it happened at the VMA's that year.  Though, he didn't take the award from her.  He simply interrupted her acceptance speech, by taking her mic and blabbering on about Beyonce having the best video of the year.  What a schmuck he was (and still is).  It's odd how he still is able to get a lot of artist support (even from Madonna) considering he's gone off the rails.

I also do remember some getting a little worked up over how Miley danced and was dressed in 2013.  Even Cher criticized her.  LOL!  Weird being I saw that performance and I've recalled far more risque movements and attire from years before even from men.  Hell, both Prince and Howard Stern both wore buttless pants in the early days of the Award's shows.  People thinking the MTV AWARDS show is supposed to be a "family type show" obviously have no idea how that awards show works.  LOL!

  14. So great to see this in an HD upgrade and Pepsi and Madonna are able to come to terms to show this iconic moment off as it got cancelled back in the day:
