Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone died following a battle with pancreatic cancer, his publicist confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Ciccone, 63, passed away peacefully on October 4 surrounded by his husband Ray Thacker and their loved ones at his home in Michigan.

'Christopher’s loving spouse was faithfully by his side during the final stages of the cancer that would ultimately end his life,' his representative said.

He is survived by his Queen of Pop sister and their siblings Martin, Paula, Melanie, Jennifer and Mario as well as their father and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

'He was an extremely talented man with a wicked sense of humor,' one friend said.

Very sad, and explains why he was in a lot pain towards the end :/ So sad.

My mom passed away from lung cancer and she passed away only 2 months after being diagnosed.

Excruciatingly painful and the dr gave her liquid morphine to control the pain.

I cannot even imagine. Cancer is awful.

I was hoping this wasn’t true but unfortunately it is. Christopher was a big part of Madonna’s early career and we all came to know him on some level as fans. A sad loss for Madonna and for all of us and a reminder of how precious life and health is.

Here is Perez Hilton speaking about Christopher and Madonna.  According to Perez, Christopher had Prostate Cancer originally, but then passed away of Pancreatic Cancer.  How horrible to just experience one type of cancer, but to succumb to two.

I'm just glad they reconciled. I couldn't imagine the guilt she would feel if she never forgave him.

 

Ugh what a rough year for her. First her very own health, Joan, Christopher, and likely her father soon. Hopefully she spends time with her family in Michigan.
