The standard edition is coming this month, the deluxe in august unless something changed. From the press release: The collection will be available digitally on August 19, along with a 3-CD ($29.98) version. A limited edition, 6-LP version on red and black vinyl ($149.98) will also be available, exclusively at Madonna’s official store and Rhino.com. The 16-track version, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE, will be available for streaming on June 24, with 1-CD ($14.98) and 180-gram 2-LP ($34.98) versions coming on August 19.

People in here clearly don’t understand the difference between a great actor (and Julia is a great actor) and an impersonator. This is not a look alike contest, nobody in this world looks just like Madonna expect Madonna (and lately..ok I stop here lol). Angela Basset doesn’t look like Tina Turner for example, Olivia Colmar doesn’t look like The Queen etc. Why don’t we all wait before judging? Also this news is clearly a pr move, she does have the part and everybody is already taking about it.

Well, Jessie is not a dancer. I agree I’m ok at this point with Madonna not dancing but it’s in her blood, even if the dancing is not that great. And she needs to rehearse, there was little real dancing in Rebel Heart and Madame X, but when it’s a tour is clearly different than a performance just for sake of it.

Do you realize there was a 12 years gap between Music and MDNA? Yes? Get real.

Most djs played the album versions of Material Girl and Like A Virgin because they were short and so they could play the songs more times in the same set. Also I NEVER heard those remixes in a club, when you go to the 80s nights they always play the album versions. Also the remixes are a bit shit and the most dated remixes of her catalog.

I listened back to back to the Deeper remix on Spotify and the RIP from the cd, and they basically sounds the same. As always a lot of moaning about nothing.

Your loss about Madame X. Anyway, I’ m pretty sure it’s going to be an edit. The compilations around to download are clearly non official, as the album is coming next month.

The best Michael reissue was Bad 25, and even that had some horrible new remixes and not the originale extended but at least it had the dvd of the tour (even if it was horrible quality). No Thriller HD and Making Of (both already in hd) on a bonus bluray is a shame. It’s the Estate that is crap though.

You’re right about Prince, my bad. But at the same time I believe Madonna is higher in the collector department (or at least she was) and this the same record company that just released a fucking slipcase for one of her most hated albums. I also believe, unlike Prince, that her 80s album have the least amount of demos and unreleased material. She has more unreleased stuff from the 90s till Rebel Heart (ok, MDNA doesn’t have much stuff). I’m not saying she will release all the demos from each album, but the aborted 20th anniversary boxset was going to include lots of demos (that’s where You’re Honesty, a song nobody knew, came from). American Life is one of her most beloved album from herself and from fans, and there are lots of demos around and god knows how many we don’t know about. The press release says MANY of her landmarks albums, not just some of her landmark albums. This new deal heralds the launch next year of an extensive, multi-year series of catalog releases that will revisit the groundbreaking music that made her an international icon. For the first time, Madonna will personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums. To me all her albums from 1983 to 2005 (heck, even 2008) are landmarks albums. Maybe they will skip Breathless and Evita but I can’t imagine them just repress Erotica, Bedtime Stories or American Life. The fact that Finally does exist is also very telling to me.

For the general public even Erotica and Bedtime Stories aren’t probably landmark albums, do you really think we will only get the 80s album and Ray Of Light and maybe Music and Confessions? I don’t think so, even Prince got some reissues of albums probably only the fans remember.

R&R is what we got instead of the 20th Anniversary Boxset after Warner bailed on it. All the stuff should be on the American Life Deluxe (Your Honesty on the BS one of course). I can live without the MTV Live audio though.

Amazon colored variants usually are hard to find after some time, sometimes even at release date. I hate clear vinyls, so the silver one is better for me. La Feltrinelli/IBS has also the red one as an esclusive (the clear one is a Discoteca Laziale exclusive in Italy).

For Italian collectors, the three formats (silver+triple cd + single cd) are cheaper on Amazon Frannce, even if you use prime in Italy you’re gonna spend the same money (shipping is just €5). The silver ep is still not available in italy but the black vinyl is the same price of the silver one in France (the black one is €8 cheaper). I ordered everything from France.
