Today, Madonna announced Madonna: The Celebration Tour, in an iconic viral video with a wink to her groundbreaking film Truth or Dare. The video features notable names such as Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, Eric Andre and culminates with Amy Schumer daring the global superstar to go on tour and perform her four decades of mega hits. Madonna, the best-selling female solo touring artist of all time, rises to the challenge announcing The Celebration Tour which will be highlighting her unmatched catalog of music from the past 40 plus years.
Produced by Live Nation, the 35-city global tour will kick off in North America on Saturday, July 15th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC with stops in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and more before making its way to Europe where she will hit 11 cities throughout the fall, including London, Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm, among others. The Celebration Tour will wrap in Amsterdam, NL on Friday, December 1st at Ziggo Dome.
The Celebration Tour will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began. “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” states Madonna.
The Celebration Tour will offer a one-of-a-kind experience with special guest Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue across all dates on the global tour.

MADONNA is secretly planning a special 40th anniversary Greatest Hits tour, The Sun can reveal.
The 64-year-old Material Girl is expected to announce new dates in the next few weeks — and has booked out London’s O2 Arena for multiple events.
Starting at the end of this year, it will be the pop superstar’s first ever compilation tour, featuring all her best-known numbers.
She hinted in an interview with Variety magazine last year that she was keen to get on the road again.
Now she has held a series of meetings with American director Jamie King, 51, who has masterminded her productions since 2001.
Last night a source said: “Madonna is trying something completely new — and really giving fans, young and old, what they want.
“Her last Madame X tour was in small theatres, but this one will be in stadiums, with the O2 already confirmed. It’s massively exciting.”
Where is Philadelphia? She always comes to Philadelphia. Every tour.

I have used @PanditaRulez's leak of Act 1 (No Mixdown) that stops after Papa Don't Preach as the base for the edit and his mic feed leak for Gang Bang, Papa Don't Preach, Hung Up and I Don't Give A. After initial listens, the mix lacked so much boost for both the bass and vocal presence so I made use of the center channel from a Blu-ray rip of the live film to give it that necessary boost. I even have to do some AI stem separation and it worked wonders. For Hung Up down to Best Friend Interlude, I used their respective studio versions to at least complete Act One.
- GENERALITIES -
- Created a more natural sounding crowd
- Better boost on the bass, beats and vocal presence
- Better sounding EQ for the entirety of the tracks
- TRACK BY TRACK -
1. The Virgin Mary Intro
- Simple boost overall on the track, nothing much to do
- Gave the crowd a more quieter ambiance for the intro
2. Girl Gone Wild
- Added extra drum stems and synths to resemble the real live version performed since the final live album version released has a different mix (listen to the Paris soundboard and compare it to the final version released in the live album)
- Added an extra layer of the pre-recorded live vocals
3. Revolver
- Pre-recorded vocals extracted from the center channel (some AI stem separating websites and softwares confuses her vocoder ass voice for instruments)
- Boosted Lil Wayne's voice on his part, slightly
- Simple boost overall on the track, nothing much to do
4. Gang Bang
- Used @PanditaRulez's mic feed for the first part of Gang Bang then transitioning it to the pre-recorded live vocals to resemble the actual performance on tour (I was tempted to keep the mic feed on in its entirety just to fuck around with y'all)
- Pre-recorded vocals and monologue were extracted from the center channel, then boosted
- Extra synth added on the breakdown part, sourced from the center channel
5. Papa Don't Preach
- Used vocal stems from the studio version of the song to resemble the actual performance, specifically on the pre-chorus and chorus part
- Missing the mob's noise at the end when they kidnapped her but eh, who cares about that?
6. Hung Up
- Used an official studio version as base, took away the lead vocals, leaving the background vocals
7. I Don't Give A... (feat. Nicki Minaj)
- Used an official studio version as base, took away the lead vocals then extended it to match the live album's length
- Used @PanditaRulez's leak of the rough mix of the live album to support the studio version base and to complete the track with the drums at the end
- Boosted the live drums and guitars
8. Best Friend/Heartbeat Interlude
- Simple boost overall on the track, nothing much to do
9. Video stream portion
- Sourced from a Blu-ray rip of the film
- Took away the heavy blues and greens dominating the overall video (I am thinking they used an LUT as color grading and it shows.)
- Toned down the skin exposure and gave everyone a more natural skintone (though it's no hope for Madonna, especially in Papa Don't Preach)
- Boosted the saturation a little more
- NOTE: There seems to be some inconsistencies of the color grading of the entire film because the saturation and style keeps changing in most shots and it's really annoying.
- Wanna laugh a little? Watch the Virgin Mary intro with my new mix and look at the crowd.

The problem with her live cds is they over amp the audience noise and of course replace some live vocals with other ones and also bury and live instruments such as drums and guitar etc . I don’t know why she has musicians and back up singers on stage when on the finished product you barely hear them ? that’s why I miss her sounds from the early tours ? I mean listen to Luis conte percussion or Jonathan moffets drums they are amazing imo
I couldn't have said it better!!! I often listen to older tours. The live, RAW music of the tours is so much better than today's over mastered audios. I miss those days.

I thought the MDNA Tour was pretty good, however not for an outside venue. I'm not sure she earned any fans going on so late at night, however it's M. I believe she's earned the right. How many other artists will still be going at this strength 30+ years into their career?
Janet - didn't even know she was around. Thought she fell off the face of the earth after she canceled her last tour 2 shows in due to vertigo. Sadly I heard the new song - very similar to anything she's done in the past - nothing stellar or 'new.'

is anyone else concerned about the reports of her shows not selling out like previous tours?? I am not sure why this concerns me however I am curious. I see her in less than 30 days and there are still tickets available. Thoughts? Opinions?
