  1. I feel the same way. It feels like a record company creation. Generally, I don’t really like live drums in Madonna songs.
  2. No, I mean that the use the word "remaster" synonymously with "re-release" because they don't know what it really means and the industry uses it so much.
  3. I feel like people who don't know music well would throw around the word "remaster" incorrectly.
  4. Do we have any predictions for the 25th anniversary of Ray of Light next year? It was a commercial and critical success, one of her favorites, and finally won her a Grammy. I'm sure there will be a 360g translucent picture disc quadruple vinyl with only 1-2 songs per side, selling for $99.99 (this is a knock on the record industry, not Madonna). But other than that, do we have any ideas?
  5. Yeah, I noticed that as I started to look closer too. But "You Can Dance" and "Angel" looked fantastic. Also, it's a little disingenuous for them to present those covers as Smog creations. Jeri Heiden did them when she worked for Warner Bros. and Smog wasn't even founded until 1995. But I guess that's not any of my business.
  6. That's actually "The Star Spangled Banner" (our national anthem) not "America The Beautiful", FYI.
  7. I'm not sure if anyone would find this useful or not, but the website for Jeri Heiden's company has some pretty good quality images of the Madonna cover art she's done over the years: https://www.smogdesign.com/archives-1
  8. Slightly off topic, but 4K remasters are not always done well. Warner turned Batman 1989 blue when they released it on 4K. Literally blue. Like Batman looks like this:
  9. And don't forget Weird Al. He personally rescanned and re-edited "Eat It" himself because he had the original film in his own possession. Maybe if he and his ex-girlfriend Madonna were able to bury the hatchet, he could help her out too.
  10. Nope. When you listen to "Everybody", "Physical Attraction" or "Into The Groove" back to back with the same tracks from Finally Enough Love, you can hear that they're very obviously NOT remastered.
  11. Welp- you were right. That same photo is on the new You Can Dance Single Edits.
  12. They couldn't re-release It's That Girl because they've just used that same photo for the cover of the Causing a Commotion RSD 12". Laugh if you want, but I think something as trivial as a cover photo could prevent a release.
  13. No one wants all the European 7" & 12" mixes of "Everybody"? I'd LOVE to have those.
  14. Or adding a completely nonsensical extra scene with a Windows '95 version of Jabba The Hutt.
  15. This is the site I use to get hi-res covers: https://bendodson.com/projects/itunes-artwork-finder/
  16. I've tried this a couple times and failed. Don't remember why exactly it didn't work.
  17. No, not quite. Shep's Classic 12" doesn't have the whole Spanish guitar section. I read somewhere that he didn't like it but Madonna insisted on it.
  18. I think the only reason "You Thrill Me" saw the light of day if because Stuart Price spruced it up so well.
  19. True, but are they gems in Madonna's opinion? That's what matters. If she doesn't like them for whatever reason, they're not getting out.
  20. It took 4-5 years and Prince's death for us to get the deluxe edition of Purple Rain after it was announced. So yeah...
  21. Revolver is one of her most underrated songs. Imagine if that had been the lead single and they made a real video for it.
