I guess it is. I just re-listened and the whole "mind...mind...mind" echo isn't even in the US Remix or the dub. It would had to have been added later. It's just seemed weird that Shep would put in the effort to add that stuff, but then edit it out. -

I don’t think it is. It has all those echo-ey drums and vocals that the TIC mix doesn’t have. I think it’s an edit of the US Remix. -

I think that edit could have worked if they had Pro Tools or Logic back then, but they were surely editing with tape. Theoretically it's correct and if we had the stems from the Jellybean remix we could fix it. -

I don't know what that is. I don't think it's vocal because it sort of sounds like someone pronouncing the letter S, but if it were a bad edit, it would have been the letter K because the next thing Madonna sang in the unedited version (the US remix) was the line "Keep on pushing me baby". To me it sounds like the quick open-and-close of the hi-hat cymbals. It sounds like they edited from 2:09-3:13 of the US Remix, but the drummer didn't exactly hit that opening in the same exact spot both times, so the cut made it sound longer/altered. I hope that makes sense. -

You can find that version somewhere in this forum. I did. It's part of the Japanese CD Singles Collection box set. Or if you get desperate you can rip it from the music video. But there's a lot of white noise in the background of the video's audio, which is especially obvious during the intro. -

OK let's get into the weeds on the "Borderline" mixes: Album version (sometimes erroneously labeled as the US Remix or Remix in streaming services) the version everyone hates and no one listens to US Remix a.k.a. New Mix a.k.a. Extended Mix a.k.a. Jellybean Remix a.k.a. Extended Dance Remix a.k.a. 12" version acoustic drums instead of drum machine cowbell added glockenspiel added during the intro echo-ey, booming snare drum hits here and there echo-ey vocals here and there ("borderline...line...line") Longer than album version Probably some other stuff in the mix too Dub also remixed by Jellybean but it's a dub though Single Remix used in the music video An edit of the US Remix but: no added cowbell at all no echo-ey, booming snare drum hits here and there no echo-ey vocals here and there ("borderline...line...line") Brazilian single edit a.k.a album edit a fade of the album version It's That Girl remix a.k.a. radio remix a.k.a. radio version a.k.a. remix edit just like the single remix, but: with echo-ey, booming snare drum hits here and there with echo-ey vocals here and there ("borderline...line...line") The Immaculate Collection remix just like the single remix, but: mixed in Q-Sound with cowbell added no echo-ey, booming snare drum hits here and there no echo-ey vocals here and there ("borderline...line...line") Celebration remix (erroneously labeled as Single Remix on the new streaming releases) very similar to The Immaculate Collection remix, but: not mixed in Q-Sound with echo-ey, booming snare drum hits here and there with echo-ey vocals here and there ("borderline...line...line" & "lose my mind...mind...mind") those added elements weren't added in exactly the same places as the It's That Girl Remix See, it's super simple and not annoying or frustrating at all. -

Does that version of the video differ from what’s on The Immaculate Collection and Celebration DVDs? -

No it isn’t- the 7” version doesn’t have cowbell at all -
Beyoncé did it!

I’m glad that he didn’t do a medley. It’s seems like all award show performances are medleys these days.

She thanked Madonna for her advocacy for LGBTQQIA+ people.
-
Disappointed that ABBA didn’t win their first Grammy, but Harry’s House is a very, very good album. And more timely.

I watched the local KCAL red carpet coverage here in LA, and I think they said she walked in really quickly, covered head to toe and talked to no one. I was only half listening though, so they may have been talking about someone else.

OMG, you took the words right out of my mouth. The only musical act I like more than Madonna is Queen and I was so, so, so livid about Bohemian Rhapsody. Roger and Brian came out looking squeaky clean, but John and Freddie - the members who weren't involved in the making of the movie - were ridiculized. One can't be objective about oneself!

We already have a movie like this anyway: 'Madonna: Innocence Lost'.

"SORRY" - NEW "REMIX" COLLAB WITH BLOND:ISH - COMING FEB. 10!!!!

Yeah, I'm not really jazzed about listening to these remixes, but I think they'll sound just fine when performed live by her. -
Why is that funny? The entertainment industry is an actual industry with thousands of actual people working in it here in LA.

Madonna's complete videography? (list - updated)

I think the video for "Borderline" was made slightly before the video for "Lucky Star". But "Lucky Star" was released as a single before "Borderline" internationally, and "Borderline" was released as a single before "Lucky Star" in the US. Confusing enough? -

Yeah she had to have paid, even without giving credit. There were other parties involved besides Lady (I call her by her first name), and they would want compensation. -

But the Soulpower remixes got released and also used in the video, which itself was released on multiple DVDs. -
Did Susan get them in the divorce? A copyright is an asset, right? And assets are split in a divorce. Or did he register a LLC in his wife’s name for tax reasons? I once worked for a small business that was technically owned by the CEO’s wife so he could claim tax credits for a woman-owned business.

She almost certainly had that throat surgery that Adele and Justin Timberlake also had. There’s no other explanation for the drastic change in her vocal timbre from the American Life promo tour to the Re-invention Tour. Not even auto tune can do that. But since then she sounds pretty good, even live. See her “Borderline” performance on The Tonight Show in 2016.
