It may have been a smoother transition into Erotica, were there a house album in 1991, but the abrupt nature of Erotica is what made it such a rude, fascinating and dark period from Mo. With that said, it still would've been an awesome to have an album in the style of Vogue, I agree. But Vogue is just one of those special, unique songs that comes along so rarely, even with an impressive discography like Mo's.

Madonna is part of the problem. She's always been very vain and superficial and that has come to bite her in the butt because people now ask: How can a woman, so obsessed with perfection, go downhill, both physically and career-wise? The answer: It always does. Nothing lasts forever. As for Madonna just following her heart and supposedly going against the grain and doing what she wants to do, she's not doing anything the rest of us aren't doing. We're all doing our own thing and she shouldn't be cherished for following the herd mentality.

I absolutely adore this album. I bought it around maybe 2010/2011, as I was still collecting her albums at that point and I fell in love with it instantly. The Grammys that she won for this were well-deserved and long overdue (especially with prior albums like True Blue, Like a Prayer, and Erotica that were also outstanding but did not get enough recognition awards-wise). Beautiful songs, awesome music videos and simple, yet elegant album photography.
