Positives: Every little bit of divine energy helps. Fumble mumbling this mantra/chant is incredibly fun and could possibly lift the spirits and encourage inner peace. I close my eyes and see bits of the FEVER video :D lots of reds, golds, winking and elephants dancing lol. Maybe its a residual from that time I took acid and listened to Ray Of Light back in the day.
 
Negatives: I have not a clue what any of it means nor if I am saying any of it correctly.

Negative: Its nonsense.

ADDICTED (The One That Got Away)Positive: God she sounds good with the guitar at the breakdown. The flirty under your spell tone of her voice is nice and innovative, not sure she does this tone on any other tune. Like she's stalking her prey.
 
Negative: It just doesn't work with the album. And a bit weird that theres an Addicted and an I'm Addicted. The One That Got Away would have been literally F-I-N-E without the seconds of "I'm Addicted" repeated at the end of the chorus

POSITIVE: Introduced "no regrets". Made my grandmother actually like a Madonna song. Theme to fantastic "A League of Their Own" one of her best cinematic offerings.
 
NEGATIVE: The movie version with additional recorded material was never officially released in the US despite the film and song being so popular.

OK, I haven't heard the new mixes yet, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the lyrics used in the Offer Nissim mix... "When there's no one, no one else around..." (Repeat 45 times), synth woosh, then (sped up, of course) "We'll be two souls in a ghost town...ghost town...ghost town". Repeat for 7 minutes. Am I right?

Positive:  It was a single (I remember finding that out when I just started getting into collecting, and it was a definite WTF moment.)  Fun song, great single cover, vinyl AND CD picture discs.  I love it when M does the unusual or unexpected.
 
Negative: No remixes, never performed live.

Sandra does not need Madonna's approval/validation at this point. Both are icons. I do miss their rapport though, I feel like she brought out/encouraged that funny side of Madonna that she keeps hinting at these days.
 
Sandra is one of the funniest ladies ever.

On another fan forum I heard some "fan", probably really a hater and just trolling say that the younger generation doesn't know who Madonna is?What the fuck? I've heard this before by haters and have yet to see any evidence of thisI work 2 jobs and work with a lot of 16-22 year Olds at my part time job and I talk about Madonna constantly at both jobs, and I have yet to meet a person in that age range who doesn't know who she isIn fact a couple of the college kids at my one job have mentioned that she's been discussed in regards to ageism in class.I mean she's been EVERYWHERE this year promoting, TV shows and magazine covers etc.Just 3 years ago she was watched by 114 million people alone at the Super Bowl, at the time the biggest audience in US TV historyThe younger generation doesn't watch the Super Bowl?

-What do you think of this album as a whole?
 
It was a breakup album turned into a tour promo album. She picked a few clunkers on production. The concept MDNA/MDMA still sort of rubs me in a bad way, for years I thought she was "above" drug culture and here it is in the title for "coolness". The Molly thing at the Ultra Festival with Aviicheese was dreadfully cheesy.
 
-Which songs clearly stand out, 3 years later?
 
Some Girls is punk rock and I love it. Gimme All Your Lovin' could have been Feel Good Inc. Part 2 but failed because of how cheesy it was with the rappers (lick my va-jay *pukes*) and the cheerleader nonsense, love the rapper-less demo. I'm Addicted would make Donna Summer blush. Then there are like 20 awful songs. Love Spent Acoustic is beautiful and painful music.
 
-Has your opinion changed over the course of 3 years?
 
Nope and I didn't go to the tour either. It all felt so forced.
 
-What do you think of the promo/singles choices/aesthetic?
 
Eh. Advertisement for tour. It was hugely successful so I suppose some of it worked.
 
-What did you like, or dislike, about the MDNA Tour?
 
I was going thru a rough breakup too. It was a bit much. I'm happy the tour went well for her and enjoyed the audio, she seemed to be having a good time of it.
