  1. I see that. We can say this time the negativity from fans is bound to objective and concrete facts. The 2 anniversaries (the Everybody one mostly) were something a dedicated new partnership should have treated differently. What was announced was aiming to the fact that, from that moment on, all the conventional release would be presented in a new special way, since Madonna herself this time was curating all. Warners could have not done special releases without M's yes before. If Madonna is in, all changes, since her presence is necessary to do something unique. Why would Warner would have signed a partnership to release a 12" with different cover? A picture disc? Even a collection of old remixes could have done by WB alone. We'll see what happens in the future , till now no sign of specialness due to the partnership.
  2. Damn, at first I thought of some album re-release news when I saw the post
  3. She downloads the hq pictures from Google and Getty images and send them to Rhino
  4. Sure, a Frozen picture disc with the stereo Mc's mix "2022 remaster" on side A and Shanti/Ashtangi "2022 remaster" on side B at 50 $. 😉
  5. I wasn't expecting a full first album reissue for her first single anniversary, and that's logic. Neither a box set. What makes me wonder, especially for a special anniversary like Everybody, the very first single, "where it all began", to quote her, that had been treated in a way not so special. I mean, ok to reissue the single, but... dear God, let's add something really special to it, a little touch. And no, a getty images photo with a png fanmade logo from Google images is not something I would call something special nor appealing. Add a special b-side, add a unheard mix, anything... something REALLY special. They know how to do it: when it came to Remixed & Revisited they added Your Honesty. It's a shame a so unique anniversary is treated like they would have done in 2017 when Rhino could not do more without M's permission. I don't think anything else is scheduled for Everybody anniversary. They used RSD because it was incidentally close to this event. That's it. We'll see what happens in 2023.
  6. I'm sure no one here feels forced to buy or do something, we're discussing a kind of offer started in a certain way and it's developing in a different way (I'm referring to the (in)famous press release). It's like going to a restaurant where meat is heavily advertised and you are suggested to order fish; obviously anyone is forced to eat the fish and certainly would not happen... but a "wtf?!" is a normal reaction, to me.
  7. I get the point of most of members, and that's also mine. We're not talking about an ordinary Reissue campaign; that kind of releases we've already had from Rhino (all the colour vinyl reissues since 2016/2017) and they didn't need any Madonna's partneship, care or partecipation. This time, in occasion of an unique anniversay like the 40°, a super-relevant and irripetible one, we've been teased with an EXTRAORDINARY re-release campaign, so extraordinary that Madonna's inclusion had been needed through a mega partnership contract with Rhino --- the press release announced something really UNIQUE and never happened before. We all know that Warner / Rhino couldn't relase anything different than what's already been in the past, if not playing with "alternate" physical presentations (The albums cardborad boxsets in 2015, the Japan Mini-Lp cds in 2016, the various coloured vinyl till now to name some). But NOTHING that would need Madonna's approval in terms of never-before-released contents. The partnership and the new project aimed at this: for the first time, Madonna would have offered her approval to rediscover her recordings through eras like never before. Till now, despite the occasions, this has not happened and the releases are on a similar level to the past: fancy visually (more or less) attractive items, but adding anything new to the catalogue.
  8. All that I know till now is that we spent so much money and we got no REAL TREAT since 2021. And when I say those words, anyone knows what I mean. I'm sure there were 2 better tracks in the vaults than the same mixes lastly released in 2019 on the Japan ep . We are talking about a special / treat-ish release campaign, at least it was advertised this way. And here I see 90% of disappointment reactions. This means something?
  9. Please, if an official text / article / press release with the explicit mention of UNRELEASED SONGS exists, post here. I'm starting doubting I've misunderstood all this thing. Thanks
  10. That's exactly my point. Just when we feel the thing is leading into certain ALLUDED direction, here we go again, "2022 remasters". FEL didn't include totally unreleased mixes, for example, and there are many... a good thing could have been using some Tour studio mixes, there are tons with commercial release potential as stand-alone mixes (Get Together from Confessions Tour, Die Another Day + Give it 2 Me from the Sticky & Sweet Tour, to name a few...)
  11. I don't know what to think now. This campaign thing is going on since last spring. They are playing with remasters, new covers, re-titled stuff. We haven't tasted ANYTHING till now. Hope I'm wrong tho... no pleasure in being right...
  12. Yes, but one can expand an edition with any kind of stuff... that does not say EXPANDED WITH UNHEARD, EXCLUSIVE, PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED MATERIAL. For what we've seen till now, they could all be "2022 REMASTERS".
  13. "For the first time, Madonna will personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums, as well as introduce unique releases for special events, and much more. The series of releases will be overseen by Warner Music’s catalog team, led by Kevin Gore, President of Global Catalog, Guy Oseary said: “Over the past 30 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and spend time with many of Madonna’s incredible fans, and this new partnership will bring to fruition what so many of them have been patiently waiting for: a celebration of her groundbreaking catalogue. My partner Sara Zambreno and I are working closely with Warner Music Group to bring new life to these iconic works.” The words UNRELEASED and DEMOS are not there, and I start thinking - on purpose.
  14. Sure, so there was no point of doing a MEGA press release intentionally allusive ("surprises", "special editions", "expanded", "Madonna personally curating...").
  15. you may be right, but we are talking of a special unique event. 40° anniversary is something that will never repeat. Fans are abit irritated, this we can understand. We know what other important artists do for their fans community. These releases clearly say: "you will never get the kind of stuff you desire".
  16. This time it's not only the team. SHE signed the deal, SHE personally curated FEL. She doesn't want some special kind of material to be out. Now that's clear, this was the crucial occasion to intrigue the fans and give a glimpse to what comes next. So no, I'm not going on buying rehashed material. If I want, I listen to original releases and I turn the volume up. Money doesn't grow up in a field and I want to buy something that gives me pleasure, not for the sake to put it on a shelf. It's a music matter, we are not collecting ceramics anymore.
  17. Are they planning the RECYCLE & REHASH game? If this is the level of the album reissues, we can expect as bonus 2022 remastered already released remixes and edits on 10 vinyl colour variants and that's it. I wonder what they are hoping to obtain this way. Now, the Erotica pdk has a "myht" value ; FEL has a concept (even if could offer many more gems ); this has really NO SENSE.
  18. He may not be Basquiat, anyway @Brendonshayart 's work was selected by Madonna and is now exposed in every store and shop! If he wasn't able to do "anything good" as you said, that would have not happened. Respect for freedom of creativity!
  19. The 40 years career anniversary officially started in 1983 with the first album release (more consistent than the release of the 1st single). So if they celebrate her album catalogue, the campaign should start in 2023 - it's not aimed at singles reissues, but albums. The press release said "expect more surprises to be revealed (NOT RELEASED) later this year around the celebration of Madonna’s 40 years in music" (OCTOBER). I read all this way.
