  1. @@Beto, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that got a release LOL.
  2. These are 1013 songs I think seem to get a bit of a negative reputation, but that I actually quite (or for some, really) like. One More Chance Beautiful Stranger Candy Perfume Girl Little Star Nobody's Perfect Cherish I'm So Stupid Future Lovers Voices I'm A Sinner Words Give Me All Your Lovin' Spanish Lesson I wonder what everyone's list of most overrated songs would be like? Lol
  3. In my opinion, a live album should be what was heard live on that particular show. If vocals need reworking, modification, to be re-recorded in a studio or get swapped with studio demo or rehearsal vocals, then the show should not be released live, or should not be promoted as a live album, in my book. And if reworkings are going to take place, at least take the time to make it at least sound authentically live. I found with the S&ST that it's not just the overly edited vocals, but the music just seems fake to me. A lot of the tracks seem like the studio version instrumental, layered over a very, very quiet audience track (to the point you hardly hear any audience at all in many parts), with vocals from somewhere other than what was actually sung live. All in all, resulting in just a really fake and disjointed sound that does not sound live at all in any way, and is super disappointing.
  4. For Me, there is no competition at all. You'll See is a million times better than Ghosttown.
  5. Ray Of Light - YAY! That other "song" - nay!
  6. Tears of a clown II. I loved the original show and how it embraced some old (it seems weird now to refer to AL era as old now lol) album tracks and the overall feel/mood of the show. I'm excited to see if she keeps the original set list, which was amazing, or tweaks it a bit, which i'm ok with. I'm also looking forward to seeing the show a bit more polished perhaps.
  7. I think it'll be pretty much be the same set list from the original TOAC, with a few swaps. That show was amazing and it was really nice to hear some album tracks from 1998-2003. I'd personally like some gems from other albums. I'd love for any of these (in an acoustic/stripped form) to be included: Rain Sanctuary Promise to try Sorry You'll see Nothing Really Matters
  8. I pretty much thought the exact same songs that could possibly be usedðŸ˜ðŸ˜Š
  9. She always used to be unexpected. Now she is increasingly more and more expected and predictable. As soon as I heard she was doing an acoustic set to support Hilary Clinton, I knew for sure that she would do Like A Prayer, Don't Tell Me and Imagine. As much as I absolutely love LAP, I'm finding her performances of it after 2009 increasingly stale, uninspired and boring. There are other ways of performing it live other than a recreation of the Shep P remix or the same sounding acoustic rendition. She could do a more faithful to the album version like a big kind of anthemic gospel version or more understated as an acoustic with a piano, church organ, with a small orchestra or simply acapella with a church choir. For Me, to keep playing some songs over and over, she needs to keep them fresh, while remaining true to the original song. I agree with @@Fighter absolutely. Stuart Prices studio versions sound really fresh and revitalised, while not drastically altering the songs. The S&ST studio versions are totally overhauled to the point the songs have little or no essence of the original song. There was way too many samples and use of scratching. The following tours are the polar opposite of SST and the versions are too close to the originals, almost like she is singing over the instrumental of the songs. DWT, RIT & CT got the balance between modernising and staying true to the original songs the best out of any of her 21st century tours. She seems to have had a change of heart regarding the way she performs songs. She once said she'd never perform songs similar to the original version as people can just hear those on the studio album. She also said she would never want to duplicate an idea or performance, therefore I was really surprised at the time that LAP and Vogue on the MDNA tour were essentially extended versions of the same concept used for the Superbowl and that they sounded almost like the original instrumentals with her singing over them. The songs she seems to perform the most in recent years to me are Candy Shop, Music, Like A Prayer, La Isla Bonita, Human Nature, Like A Virgin, Spanish Lesson and Holiday. I think they've had their time in the sun. She's over performed them and I'm kinda bored with them now. Again, it's really predictable now for her to include these, and to quote Sorry: "I've seen it all before and I can't take it anymore".
  10. Pretender. White Heat. Love Makes The World Go Round. Your Honesty. Hey You. Candy Shop. Incredible. Revolver. Turn Up The Radio. The Rebel Heart album (except for SEX, Joan Of Arc, HeartbreakCity and Devil Pray as I can actually listen to those....)
  11. Time Stood Still. It's a great song. The Look Of Love is a snoozefest.
  12. I don't think any of them are ballads. Well in my opinion anyway. 😎😉
  13. Beautiful Killer gets killed dead in comparison to Die Another Day.
  14. I think Gang Bang is a GREAT song, and definitely one of the top 3 songs from MDNA, but I agree with @@Independent Thinker. I couldn't see it getting any sort of release for the same reasons @@Independent Thinker said.
  15. Ha ha, yes I've noticed we have similar taste/thoughts.... IMO, Living For Love...
  16. I agree 100%! The music (well,.... the sample) MAKES Hung Up. 😎
  17. I think the drums on OYH sounds better to me. I'm not an audio expert so I can't really describe what I mean lol, but to me I think the drums sound better than the TB version. I prefer Borderline on the IC to the album version. I prefer the change in instrumentation used in the bridges. I don't like the instrument used in the bridges of the album version (and in the stems) with the new instrument used for the remix being better for me. I also prefer the horns being present in the bridges too. I also think I prefer Into The Groove actually, though I don't like the addition of the piano by SP. By the way, I personally have oceans of love for Cherish. It's cute, lovely, catchy, sounds great and fully deserves its place on the IC IMO. 😉😎
  18. I 100% agree! 😃 She has all these fantastic demos from 20 years before R&R (some incredible ones from AL) and only one gets chosen, ....and a crappy one at that! Hmmmmmmm. Disappointing. I did enjoy the rock remixes of AL and LP a lot. I would have liked an EP of the entire album reworked in that way. I didn't really like the NKM remix (the Above and Beyond remix is sooo much better IMO), although the NF Nevins mix is ok. Some amazing remixes could have been used. The Like A Virgin/ Hollywood was entertaining to watch and was a good visual performance, but I dunno, I didn't like the Think White Duke Remix being used. It's pretty repetitive and tuneless as a remix anyway, but even live I can't say I ever wanted to hear it again after i saw the performance. There are some great live performances from over the years that could have and should have been used instead. I get why it was chosen though as album promotion. But TBH, I'd of rather had some of the tracks she did live during AL promotion being featured instead. Into The Hollywood Groove should have been left as a 30 second commercial. I don't think a full version was needed and it certainly didn't need a release on R&R. Ideally I think it should have been a much more cohesive project, focusing on the American Life album and be a 2 CD set featuring Rock/club/alternative mixes on CD1, with AL promo Live performances and AL demos on CD2. Or something like that anyway.
