Yeah. There was always at least one experimental, interesting remix besides the generic dance for the gay circuit stuff. I guess something g for everyone. Like the Stereo MC remix of Frozen vs the Calderone gay circuit remix.

The Vikram mix is just super laid back and cool. It truly morphed the song into something totally different, interesting, special and a sonic experience. K&D remix I love for the atmosphere it creates and also the sonic experience but I would’ve also loved a full vocal edit of it. The 69 remixes only cheapened the masterpiece. Didn’t add anything of interested or depth to it. No atmosphere or real experience to be had with them. Same Fkn cheesy, cheap dance crap. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s truly mind boggling to me that anyone thinks the 69 remixes are “great” or even just good. To me they’re in the same vain as Barbie Girl. Cheesy. Generic. Uninspiring,. Pathetic even. What other music do people who like this sort of stuff enjoy?? I’m forced to wonder…. The fact that radio played a 69 remix is exactly why the single tanked. Maybe the mixes worked in drugged out gay clubs where the quality of music is an afterthought? I don’t fucking know. I get that tastes differ but there is such a thing as universally awful and those remixes are that. Yes I’m a harsh motherfucker 🤣

I know. I was being ridiculous. Although one can’t really call the 69 remixes anything else but generic. To me there’s nothing interesting about them and they aged very poorly as well. Generally I prefer more complex approaches to redoing songs. The cheap dance stuff for the circuit parties was never my taste. But I’m always happy people enjoy stuff I don’t. Whatever rocks your boat. A Big Mac or a ribeye. As long as it makes you feel some sort of joy.

Would love more Vikram and K&D mixes, less club 69 but it is what it is, again. ;) I would be so fkn delighted if this song unexpectedly became a massive viral hit. It’s one of my all time favorite tracks of hers. there were also rumors back than that P. Diddy or Puffy Pouf or whatever his name was back then, was remixing it. Would’ve loved to hear that.

That's what message boards are. That's what all social media is. Why let their opinion taint your enjoyment? You can ignore and block if it gets too much for ya. It's not that deep.

It’s futile comparing a 64 yo 40 year veteran of pop music to a 34 years younger artist who’s way more current. Especially if the younger artist is releasing a brand new single and the OG is releasing a demo that accidentally became popular. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That seid, Flowers is a great pop song and deserves all the success.
