  1. I give it up to Rebel Heart, American Life, and Ray of Light as the strongest lyrically. They contained cut-deep lyrics and perspective-shattering moments! Devil Pray, American Life, and Swim (and so many more).

I really only have one album to ever complain about, that being Like A Virgin. It was 80s and singles were what made or broke an album, not the rest fo the tracks. ANd while I love all the singles (Dress You Up In My Love the most!), the lyrics were... meh. They were either lovey-dovey or too doily (Shoo Bee DOo Bee, not even trying to get that one right).

  2. RH had a lot of "mature" tracks, but in a couple of songs it came off a little too "saccharine" for my taste.

What I wouldn't like is for her to fall into the old-fashioned. She's a pop artist and part of that is seeing what's going on in the world, unfortunately at this point she's gonna find resistance from older fans... but Madonna is best when she's a little ahead rather than a little behind (musically speaking). So I'd like something more "out there" yet modern when it comes to who produces it. But mostly we need a focus on composition and melody and not just production. Thankfully RH had more emphasis on that because MDNA was lacking in that department.

Mixing electronic with acoustic in too obvious a way is what was cutting edge decades ago honestly, so it's not that simple, mostly I want the IDEAS behind the album to be what holds the album together, then composition/songwriting and from that great production can be done. :)

Rebel Heart was a great experiment on variety and quantity, for the next one Id like her to be more focused on less songs and less producers being involved, and more focus on the themes of the album.

I would even be keen on making another album that was mixed like Confessions. To be honest I'm not really into anything thats on the radio this year. So maybe she can just stay away from mainstream. Rebel Heart's conception was organic but was almost pretty much how she described Hard Candy, a juxtaposition of two opposites. The Rebel was generally out done by the Heart unfortunately. I'd like to see some rock and industrial sounds, give some darkness to it. Maybe its time for the Black Madonna?

  3. Madonna: Luckstar, Borderline, Burning Up

Like A Virgin: Like A Virgin, Material Girl, Dress You Up

True Blue: Open Your Heart, La Isla Bonita, Live to Tell

Like A Prayer: Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Oh Father

I'm Breathless: Vogue, Hanky Panky, Back In Business

Erotica: Erotica, Deeper & Deeper, Waiting

Bedtime Story: Secret, Human Nature, Bedtime Story

Ray of Light: Nothing Really Matters, Frozen, Power of Goodbye

Music: Music, Impressive Instance, Runaway Lover

American Life: Hollywood, Nothing Fails, Die Another Day

Confessions: Hung Up, Sorry, Like It or Not

Hard Candy: 4 Minutes, Heart Beat, Miles Away

MDNA: Girl Gone Wild, I'm Addicted, Give Me All Your Luvin

Rebel Heart: Living for Love, Devil Pray, B*tch I'm Madonna

  4. OMG I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it! Perfection!!

Just tiny One thing I want to change is background music.

This gorgeous video need Madonna's fresh new music. (not 5 years ago MDNA tour music)

I know! When heard the music from MDNA Tour (the crowd included) during her angel scene, I was like "Who chose this? They couldn't even at least do the studio version???"

  5. So I just feel like new music is around the corner, maybe closer to beginning of next year but still, I can't wait! But just in the spirit of new music, what sounds do you all think would work? She played with a smidge of reggae in Unapologetic B*tch, which was fresh and worked. I'm hesitant to suggest trap, as I've heard some good and bad remixes of her songs in Trap style. I also feel that'd land her back in the desperate seat. I'm not sure what underground style are going on right now that could use her brilliance to drag them into the limelight. I also feel that politics (for better or worse) may become the meat of some of the songs, but I think she needs to pull  a page from Rhianna and simply do some dance songs that will be basic enough to be relate-able to but with some Madonna character and new twists.

  6. So, I was gonna make a remix album (not my own remixes) from those remixes released with Ray of Light's singles. I once heard that some of the remixes sound really experimental and may have been meant for the remix album. However, would it have just Ray of Light remixes or would it have been more You Can Dance, collecting songs up the current album and stringing them together in a dance medley? Tell me what you think would have been on it and what era range.
