  1. Lady Gaga's discography just hasn't matured yet, and still kill the charts, like Madonna did. But they're two different artists, to be fair. Lady Gaga became a hit in a generation (mine) that has a much smaller attention span, and easily fettered loyalty. Madonna's first fans are some of the strongest fans, very loyal and devoted, even when they don't quite care or like her sound. Joanne was... Eh. It was like she tried reinventing herself in a country, back to the roots kind of sound and image and it just doesn't sound all that great.

  2. Am I the only one who see's Girl Gone Wild in Taylor's music video? I mean, the choreo scene with the dancers in high heels... Just a slight reminiscence :thinker:

While, yes, neither created choreography of men in high heels, but boy has it seemingly caught on lately. In fact if you look up such a thing (men in high heels in music videos) Girl Gone Wild is the only official music video to show up right away. That's another one in basket! basket...

  3. While I love Give Me All Your Luvin', and the video had its moment (great colors), it wasn;t lead single kind of video. Girl Gone Wild had a pretty great video, really an update to Erotica, which still has more shock value than GGW. Turn Up the Radio was just kind of sad. IT had more of a story than the last two. I feel that GIve Me All Your Luvin' was just so tailored for the SB that it should have been seperate from the album. Just dropped as a single. I'm Addicted should have been dropped as the lead single months in advance, so that GMAYL could shine as a single but not be the first taste of the MDNA era. Masterpiece should have been an actual single with a music video. There was so much they could have done, but the SB was likely an exhausting side project after recording an album and directing a film.

  4. OMG, fine, I'm wrong and you are right, can we go back to Madonna and Taylor, please?

I was 15 when Hard Candy came out and I remember reading it, so excuse me for being a teenager and believing some rumour on who knows which forum, Jesus.

"Hey you! Don't you give up! It's not so bad," I forgive you! Haha! Although I'm not sure theres much more for the two. They had the duet performance for Ghosttown, which I'm sure no one remembers except us. And there is an article nit picking the music video for all the pop music rip offs it features, including standing amongst her alter-egos or various career stages (really they had to make a couple up just for the video if I'm not mistaken) and the most stunning being the car crash at just the right angle (also a flashy car).

  5. Really and truly, I wish I could time travel and made sure Madonna got the lyrics to Born This Way. She said it really was just an updated Express Yourself, just towards LGBT community and not just women. Could have been a smash hit for Madonna. But sadly that's outside my abilities, lol! No, the mashup was great and the Super Bowl would have been another great chance to have done that mash up, the other singing the opposite song, instead of Cee Lo

  6. Maybe America just isn't the right place for her right now. Too politically charged. Which I'm sure a song or five will be political, what artist isn't these days, but there's one thing I think Lady Gaga got right back at the Super Bowl that I think other artists are forgetting. That sometimes music is a get away from political turmoil among other personal issues. It would be refreshing for Madonna to just have a Confessions moment. Not style wise, just a cal back to the Dancefloor and less call to the front line.

  7. Speaking of S&S, if you listen carefully to her performance of Like a Virgin on the RHT from Showtime, she uses the same vocals from the acapella she sang in the S&S DVD. You can definitely hear it in the chorus, especially the part where she sings, "...when your heart beats next to mine."

Am I missing something? I though Like A Virgin was just a request song, she would have sang that completely live.

  8. MDNA had its moments, which is something that a lot of her earliest albums had, moments (Like A virgin had its singles and one or two ok songs and then a few cringers, and this followed for True Blue and Like A Prayer). Rebel Heart was great, far more versatile than Hard Candy and plus much of the fan base usually rates the album high on their list of albums from best to worst. Theres a whole thread to go see that. I think the success of the album is less important now and is more about what she likes, hence Candy Shop and Bodyshop.

  9. 1. Living For Love- Madonna the Matador of Romance

    2. Material Girl- Madonna the Player dripping in crystals.

    3. B*tch I'm Madonna- Madonna the Party Crasher

    4. Like A Virgin- Madonna the Queen Reinventing

    5. Holy Water/Vogue- And lastly, Madonna the Erotic Nun

Rebel Heart was my first time keeping up and being current with her and I enjoyed it. Sure there was a ton singing over audio tracks and the DVD has a lot of autotuning but only Madonna could do half of what she did up there and still not break a leg.

  10. I would made setlist changes to have helped Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light (not that it needed it). I would have medley'd Substitute for Love with Swim, I think they would segue very well. Also I would done same for Impressive Instant and Burning Up and then into Beautiful Stranger. Candy Perfume Girl fits the looks of the segment, but ultimately I wouldn't have care if it were in it or not. In the Air attributed segment, I would have added Nothing Really Matters slipped in there after Mer Girl. During the Country segment, I would have had American Pie between I Deserve It and Don't Tell Me. Human Nature would lead into a remixed Bedtime Story. Then Secret and You'll See, dropping Funny Song and Gone. The Fire attributed segment only needs  Love Tried to Take Me In and Take A Bow. Music really should have been the encore and left it at that. I'm ok that this tour attempted to escape the the wild and materialistic early years of her career. I feel like this tour is now about to explode but it seems more complete with these modifications, to me atleast.

  11.

I read in press she will stay in Lisbon for six months til march 2018

the Benfica season begin (David training ).

she will be live in hotel while her house will be preparing for living

So then it mean she not be filming her movie ? Or even it get canceled?

and what about Rocco move back to NY if she move to Portugal

The woman can get around. I'm sure she will be either working and producing from Lisbon or making trips back and forth. She might make some music there too. But don't hold your breath on either. But you can still never know.
