  1. It's about time! But we also need the Madame X blu-ray...
  2. @Frank Can you rip this for us please?? Thank you!!
  3. Thank you @Fighter for all you've done for us for so many years and to @Jackie for stepping up to keep things going. The community here is more important than any account info, so I'm more than happy to have it continue on! @Fighter Also wishing you all the best for your health recovery, studies, and future endeavors. I'm glad that we'll be able to have this place so maybe you can still check in once in a while and let us know how you are doing also.
  4. Can't believe they cut all the good songs from the recording and butchered the best song, God Control in this edited audio. Super annoying they waited and managed to record a show with none of the best performances (Papa Don't Preach/Express Yourself, Sodade, Crave). Crazy and Future are glorious. At least we finally have something, but nothing worth revisiting from this audio other than these 2 songs for me. This isn't the whole experience fans actually got in the theater, and this album was only worth suffering through in that context.
  5. M has never shown ANY interest whatsoever in releasing any unreleased songs, so to hope for those is just setting oneself up for disappointment.
  6. I will believe it when I see it, but watch it be remixes for any bonus songs.
  7. How would we know when it literally launched in March? Somehow I doubt it, but I'm also not picking up yet another streaming service I don't need for poor quality video!
  8. Honestly I don't even know why the fuck she would bother to say she's doing re-shoots, even if she is. Talk about total lack of self-awareness about her image. Shit like this is exactly why casuals etc think she can't sing, etc, because she dubs it all and processes it so much everyone knows what they're watching isn't the live act. It's a tragedy that this time we didn't get any HD fan videos to actually preserve the moment for fan archival purposes.
  9. People want the speeches, otherwise what's the point of billing it as a work of theater/art and banning recording or even bothering to sit and sing to preserve her artistic integrity instead of you know, satisfying her fans who sacrificed time and money to attend for nothing?
  10. I'd rather have a physical in December. We already only have the potato quality of our memories and blurry clips. It's a tragedy that it wasn't possible to record a HD unedited/dubbed fan video of this tour. The GP isn't going to care or watch regardless.
  11. Streaming platforms buy finished products post-production/editing all the time. Doesn't change anything about exclusivity.
  12. Well okay but I've never seen a musical documentary or concert make it to physical media from Netflix after the fact, no matter who it is. Taylor Swift, for example, monetizes every last cent of all her merchandise and music. She has vinyls and cassettes even for singles! But not one of her concerts has made it to physical media after her Speak Now tour in 2011. They're on all the streaming platforms from Apple for 1989, Netflix for Reputation and the documentary, and Disney+ for the last 2 concerts, but all this tells me for someone who loves money just as much as Madonna is that they paid a lump sum that couldn't be refused and was worth all the loss of physical sales. I hope you're right about Madonna being the exception, but we all know she only cares about the money also and not her legacy/collectors so we'll get what we'll get and she'll likely then move on. Live music recordings are an extremely niche fan market to begin with, so it's not like they don't know what the number is they need to pay to guarantee exclusivity.
  13. No Netflix show has ever made it to DVD.
  14. Streaming quality is terrible for both video and audio. Ugh.
  15. I fully expect it to be some epilepsy-inducing flash montage with less than 1 second clips of her actual face because we all know she's too insecure to display it without filters or black and white now. The longer she edits the more the poor quality fan montages will end up being better than what is released, especially with respect to live audio being faithful to what fans actually heard in person.
  16. By the time this sees the light of day and with the same time teasing, Taylor Swift will have released a Netflix documentary, 2 live Disney+ concert specials, 2-3 new albums, and 5 re-recorded albums with bonus unreleased songs. I wish Madonna cared about her actual musical career half as much as she does about the other 90% of things that occupy her time between eras.
  17. Madonna's problem is her inability to tease and deliver in a timely manner. These year+ teases with no deliverable in sight do nothing but kill all hype in addition to being extremely annoying having to put up with inane posts about her minor children (which is actually exploitation, they can't consent) and everything under the sun but the music just in case there is actually any news one day.
  18. It wasn't used for no reason. She used it to make her pro-choice speech in the US, while it was irrelevant and cut for Europe.
  19. No, I'm not joking. "In production" has nothing to do with "post-production". Everything for Madame X was filmed before the first lockdown. The only joke is how untimely this release, if ever, will be as usual and forgotten by everyone except the hardcore fans at this point. Every other MUSICAL artist has managed to put out MUSICAL and video work product during this time except... oh wait... Madonna.
  20. No blockbuster movie was postponed a year or two because post production went on hold. LOL. They got postponed because there's no theater box office to guarantee a return on investment, the end.
  21. That's why I find the biopic/screenplay route to be incredibly uninteresting. It could work out, but it'll never be great like listening to M herself tell her own story for hours on end like in Truth or Dare, I'm Going to Tell You a Secret, etc. It's why I love Mariah's memoirs audiobook which is basically her telling her life story complete with acapella snippets and back stories for 11 1/2 hrs that would never make it into a film. Whatever we get from the biopic is likely to be surface level shallow, designed to appeal to the GP, and everything we know already portrayed by an obviously inferior imitation to M. I just don't see it working out well since she's such a visual artist and it's all about the MUSIC and DANCE. "She'll never be me" indeed.
  22. The thing is Madonna barely seems to remember her own songs or lyrics, never mind anything in depth about them. I'm just not sure she has the self-confidence or interest in discussing the songwriting process to share that with us though the music and songwriting is what is most interesting to me to hear or read about. Mariah's memoirs are super interesting to me as a fan because all of the stories tie back to how they shaped who she is today and each chapter ties back to her song lyrics also. I don't really care about the day to day details of growing up in itself. Everyone knows those stories. The other thing is despite her rough childhood and family life, Mariah is super lucky to have an amicable divorce and civil relationship with her children's father. Given the constant war waged by Guy on Madonna, I'm not sure she'll ever feel comfortable enough to go there past ROL. Which is also why I fully expect any biopic to be very sanitized and a vanity project with her directing.
