  1. "I'm Going Bananas" is growing on me, so I voted for that one (I like what she did with it in The Girlie Show). "Dear Jessie" is alright, but "Jimmy Jimmy" I've always liked pretty well. "Superstar" is a mess, in my opinion.
  2. But she is very whiny (and also unappreciative). Not sure why Rupert Everett expressing himself is such a bad thing. I'm also unsure why people are so afraid of saying negative things about this woman. Let's get real here.
  3. I've always loved this song! It's a great song from the Ray of Light track list. The lyrics: "Students rape their teachers Comets fly across the sky While the churches burn their preachers" These lyrics can be interpreted by different people in different ways, but what I personally took out of it was that we destroy those who are, allegedly, trying to protect us while time just continues on.
  4. Nothing Really Matters La Isla Bonita or Ray of Light?
  5. B-Day Song Jimmy Jimmy or I'd Rather Be Your Lover?
  6. Shoo-Bee-Doo Sooner or Later or Something to Remember?
  7. Devil Wouldn't Recognize You Impressive Instant or Drowned World/Substitute for Love?
  8. 1. Bad Girl 2. Express Yourself 3. Vogue 4. Oh Father
  9. Every major star has their zenith - Madonna has simply outlived hers. People will always know who she is, but her success has decreased because that what happens when artists get older - they lose their relevance. Setting her up with teeny boppers is not going to increase her popularity; if it hasn't so far, it's not going to.
  10. This is so cool, Dito, thanks for posting! Truly great artwork!
  11. For me, I'd say it's a tie between Live to Tell and True Blue. The latter was very cutesy, but she looked so happy in it - an impression I don't get from her very often.
  12. Love Don't Live Here Anymore Causing a Commotion or Everybody?
  13. I just don't get this album - there were a lot of really lousy tracks on this (Lucky Star, Think of Me, Physical Attraction are just crap.) On the flip side, it has several good tracks (Borderline, Holiday, Everybody), but they're not strong enough to hold it up as an excellent album. She became a more talented songwriter and singer as time went on.
  14. I don't care much for the singles on COAD but some of the other tracks (Let It Will Be, Push, Isaac, and Like It Or Not) I thought were quite good. Is it overrated? Yes, I think a little bit, but I enjoyed this era; the photography, the tour, etc.
  15. Never been a fan of Lowe, though an interesting story. He seems like a real creep to me - and he was afraid he was going to get mobbed by fans? Sounds like his ego was certainly more inflated than even Madonna's.
