Why does everyone seem so desperate for Madonna to do something disco? I am as tired of the collaborations as anyone but its pretty sad when a good portion of Madonna fans are clamoring for her to repeat herself, reminds me of the Like a Virgin wannabe days. We need something new and fresh that has influences of her 80's sound which is in right now, not another crappy dance album like MDNA or a sad attempt at cloning her classics.

Actually I am entitled to say what I want as long as its not offensive and I find the artwork ugly lol, just like I love Express Yourself and hate Bitch Im Loca. Whichever version you prefer, I think we can all agree that the one that was put on Immaculate Collection was dreadful compared to either of these. I hate how tiny the instrumentals sound compared to the original.

If im being honest, the Immaculate Collection is not something I am crazy about, I find the remixed versions are often inferior to the originals The Immaculate version of Express Yourself sounds terrible compared to the original album version because it lacks those amazing drum beats which make it one of my all time favorite Madonna songs. In my opinion, its always a horrible idea to tone down drums in an upbeat song like Express Yourself, take a listen to both versions and see that the original is 50 times better and it still pisses me off that the original was not used for the music video.

Im Breathless will not be included in this reissue campaign, the official statement seemed to only make mention of her studio albums. The weird thing about Vogue is that the track feels so out of place on Im Breathless, the song was so big when it came out but everyone thought of it as a single. I agree with you that it belongs on the Immaculate Collection.

Yeah, I mean I was not trying to be rude in my comments and it is cool he is actually attempting something as ambitious as art but his paintings are pretty ugly.

I dislike the paintings myself because he seems to have little ability to capture beauty in his work, they look pretty crude but I would not go as far as saying he has no talent, he is just not anything special that I can see. Art is actually a longtime interest of mine and I have been painting nature like mountains and animals on my free time since the 90's, I dont pretend to be some master but I can paint much better than Rocco and I have never thought of actually selling mine as its just a pastime I have. Actually it was pretty cool that he was able to actually sell them hiding his identity. Now that the rabbit is out of the hat though, I dont really know what he is gonna do. Pretty sad that the crime of being Madonna's son provokes such criticism and backlash, the number of haters she has is shocking.

There is opportunity for sure but she needs to change up her image for maximum effect. I dont want to see possibilities thrown away, that viral Tiktok Remix could have been so much more if she had pounced on it earlier for example.

Everyone is talking about the biopic itself and the reissues but what I am wondering is if any of this will lead to any special performances for significant dates or for promotional reasons. Stuff like Harlem or on TV? I would not be against some stuff on a show but please no more random performances in public which is always very painful, we got pride and then Harlem so three strikes and your out. 2022 is going to be a very interesting year for sure, lots of surprises and hopefully a reinvention of some kind if the gods are smiling on us.

Ok, time for round 3 of me ranting about Madonna's body of work. This album is hands down the best thing she ever put out in the 80's and better than all her 90's music except for Erotica and Ray of Light in my opinion. Express Yourself might be my favorite Madonna song, it is the ultimate anthem of what she has done her entire career. The artistic growth from her debut up to LAP is incredible, especially when it comes to her music videos, Oh Father being my favorite one for personal reasons, it was her first album that really got to me in an emotional way. Even the tracks I was not initially crazy about like Love Song have grown on me over the years I was aware and interested in Madonna from the start but Like A Prayer was the album that made me a lifelong fan, even the cover is amazing, so simple and sexy at the same time. This album will always be pop perfection in my mind and a top 4 Madonna album. It is literally all the best things about her rolled into one, it is fun, controversial, danceable, thought provoking. emotional, rocking and the greatest way she could ever have closed out the first phase of her career and transitioned into the 90's, it has really stood the test of time better than any 80's pop record by a female artist in my opinion, always fresh and exciting, I never get tired of it.
