I really like this tribute, the Michael Jackson one was so cold with no singing and just watching the dance imitation...
This is the Madonna we all like, she is giving her all in this tour!!

    http://www.sacurrent.com/Blogs/archives/2016/01/11/a-review-of-madonnas-rebel-heart-tour

EDITORIAL: I'm gonna bold my favorite lines from this "review" because the shit is just hilarious. This blatantly Southern piece has to have been written by a GED recipient taking a community college journalism course.

She emerged from a steel cage onto the stage after about an hour between her and the opening act, DJ Mary Mac. But that’s okay, she’s the unapologetic Queen of Pop and you’re not really paying for punctuality. Instead you’re paying for the experience of seeing Madonna’s first visit to San Antonio. Dressed in Kimono-like garments, Madonna started the evening with “Iconic,†the pop song that features sound bites by none other than Mike Tyson. She undresses into “Bitch, I’m Madonna,†a Japanese Samurai-inspired backdrop that definitely pumped up the lady behind me who proclaimed that, “this was her motherfucking song,†and then proceeded to butcher every single word except for the repetitive “who do you think you are,†and “bitch, I’m Madonna.â€

Madonna then makes it to center stage to grab a guitar and play a rocked-out version of “Burning Up.†This gives way to the risqué nuns and Shibari clips in the background to which she’s singing “Holy Water,†that, by far, left nothing to the imagination. She centers the stage with a Last Supper orgy that if you didn’t feel any kind of heat you should immediately check yourself for signs of life. The song is mixed with “Vogue.†This happens a lot; she remixes her hits and breathes new movement into them by putting them into her newer songs.

Now I should mention that later in the evening I spent the better part of five songs listening to a murder-me screaming fan, begging for “old school, Madonna,†because she paid good money. From simulating acts with priests she finishes "Holy Water/Vogue" tied up herself. She moves into the sinful “Devil Pray,†and with hands knotted she presents them to a seated priest who exchanges them for a Bible.
From here we learn that with each video clip interlude the evening will be divided up into four themed segments, plus the encore. She goes through countless outfit changes that happen so fast you better have your eyes fixated if you want to catch them. The next segment is a '50s themed car garage where Madonna not only slides on the cars but also several guys.

On the next number, Madonna emphasizes the point that her acoustic partner is from Texas, as if we’ll warm to him all the more. She finishes off the segment with “Deeper, Deeper,†“HeartBreak City†– on a staircase that came from the sky – and a classic, “Like A Virgin,†that’s found a way to become more pop sounding.

Next (we are out of transitions) is the Spanish heat where dancers do beautiful acts of sexy things on beds (this is a real article) until Madonna comes back with bedazzled masked bulls to “Living For Love,†and then to “La Isla Bonita,†picking up some Spanish guitar along the way.

The crowd is pumped, and here Madonna decided it’s time to have a conversation with us. “It’s good to be back in America." She just played a show in Mexico City a couple days ago, "where people speak the language of ‘Fuck.’†It also happens to be a birthday of one of her dancers so let the spanking begin because she “was put here by God to put people in their place." After an acoustic “Who’s that Girl,†she receives a giant rosary from a fan. Madonna goes into “Frozen†and “Rebel Heart.†

The next interlude involves men swinging on poles over the crowd, which transforms into a jazzy club as she starts off “Music†in cabaret style before going back to the original version. But then she pauses in the middle of the song to play around with the crowd. Madonna starts singing “Deep in the Heart of Texas,†because we’re in Texas and then goes back into “Music.†

From "Music" she went into another crowd pleaser, “Material Girl,†as she pushes guys off her angled stage to a wedding progression where she's prepared to marry a fan. Instead she serenades her future bride with “La Vie En Rose,†in French while playing the ukulele. During “Unapologetic Bitch,†an audience member dressed in Cowboy attire comes to the stage and they dance, but he’s not from San Antonio, or from Texas. However, he is the unapologetic bitch of the evening, so it's okay. She’s done, bye bitches. Kidding she comes out in full end of the year celebration for “Holiday,†her encore.

For her first time playing San Antonio, Madonna sure made up for the nearly three decades of her career of avoiding the Alamo City. With countless costume changes and no real holding back this has been one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. But what else do you expect when it’s Madonna, bitches?

"Thanks to Readers Poll at Rolling Stone Magazine for voting for my song Ghostown As the # ONE song if the year! I'm so grateful‼" -Madonna

1 Madonna, "Ghosttown" Even in a great year for pop music, Madonna is still the queen. The power ballad off her March album Rebel Heart was a more classic pop turn for the singer after the house hit "Living for Love" and trap digression of "Bitch I'm Madonna." On the massive, romantic track, the singer tackles both world issues and a reflection of self. Even though the single didn't crack the Billboard Hot 100, it still topped the dance charts and showcased one of the singer's strongest vocal performances.

An indomitable power ballad for a ruined world that sounds so great you might start rooting for the apocalypse.

Hello everybody! How do I begin?I thought this was gonna be an emotional show but it started as one of those days when everything goes wrong...Even MaryMac had problems with mic and sound, then they kept walking around the stage and you already know the show started late and the Medley was cut.She had problems with her mic in Burning up and the background track started before her, so the lypsynch was embarassing, they tried to adjust it before Holy water but didn't succeed and she didn't do the catwalk with the nuns. She even said "I can't hear myself" in Burning up.In True blue she was kinda distracted: "I can't drink a ukulele and play a bottle of water"; she also changed a line but I didn't understand the new lyrics. In Living for love she would never come out and when she got to the stage she really had to hurry to untie the knot...I was trembling! Then the show started to be wonderful. Ghosttown was performed because it was voted best song of 2015.Rebel heart was fantastic and definitely live. Then she had to hurry, she threw the bouquet almost instantly and joked with the couple who got it, but you already know that. LVER was strange because the show was more about humour than emotion... before the song she said to one of the boys "I'll fuck you later", which imo took away the poetry of the moment.Th UB was wearing a kilt, he didn't seem to know the proper moves on the catwalk. At a certain point he showed he had no underwear but M didn't realize the crowd saw his naked butt, then she said "I looked under his gown and I can say he's been blessed by God".Abd then of course Holiday. Oh God... When the arena lights were turned on I was sooo let down but had no hope. It was clear she was too late. Yet Monte was still there, Kiley and Nicky left the stage but came back, the projection even started. The she came on stage with no sound and no light (maybe when the programme is off you can't restart it)... and the rest is history. One of a kind. We all sang together loud, I even managed to go front row! Please don't tell Madonna to stop!!

Madonna - Rebel Heart Tour, The O2 Sensational energy and stage drama overcome mixed material by Matthew Wright [1]Wednesday, 02 December 2015 Last night Rebel Heart began to make sense. For over two hours, performing from the album, her back catalogue, and a couple of well-chosen covers, Madonna sustained both a diversity and intensity in her approach to singing about love and sex that probably no-one else could match. We all knew she could sing “Material Girl†or “Like A Prayer†till the lid came off the O2. When she followed those with Edith Piaf, sung to the ukelele, and held nearly 20,000 people in rapt silence, she gave us a much better idea of what makes her rebel heart beat.

The first 40 minutes was a barrage of the new album’s spikiest songs, opening with “Iconicâ€, and “Bitch I’m Madonnaâ€, performed with the chorus dressed as slightly camp reenactment Crusaders. Chance The Rapper and Mike Tyson, who feature on the recorded version of “Iconicâ€, couldn’t be with us, unfortunately, though it didn’t prevent both songs tripping over their own bassline, and making much more impact on the eardrums than the heart. The situation wasn’t improved by a fuzzy sound quality that boomed and rattled like the stereo in a pimped-up Ford Fiesta.

What the sound quality lacked was more than made up by spectacular staging and choreography. There was a long, crucifix-shaped thrust stage, that took Madonna to the middle of the arena (the “head of the penisâ€, as she described it), and gave her the opportunity to connect more personally with her fans. (At one point she seemed to be kneeling down by the edge so that they could stroke her hair.) The screen behind the main stage was vast, and the video montages were spectacular, though they also had the de-humanising effect of making the performers seem tiny and remote. Bigger isn’t always better.

One of the slickest songs dramatically, “Holy Water†had incredible acrobatics from both Madonna and the “nuns†in wimple and g-string, one of whom gripped a vertical dancing pole with only her thighs, while Madonna stood on her stomach. (No doubt about her pelvic floor.) The routine ended with Madonna lying on her back, legs open, on a mock-altar, singing “Yeezus loves my pussy bestâ€. While this kind of thing was properly shocking when Madonna started doing it in the 1980s, you can’t imagine Pope Francis (with his own album to promote, after all) doing much more than smile in amusement. Today, the gymnastics are more startling than the blasphemy.

There was more engaging choreography in “Body Shopâ€, with a backdrop of 1950s diner and garage, and one of the album’s more sensitive lyrics, comparing the repair of a car with the disintegrating human body. Most effective, though, were the routines that took place on the thrust. The best, “HeartBreakCityâ€, featured just Madonna and one male singer on a spiral staircase in the centre of the arena, ending with him pushed from the top into an invisible landing pit behind.

Though she seemed – understandably – to forget at times where this whirligig of a show was going next, Madonna’s energy never flagged. There was something very touching about her rendition of “La vie en roseâ€, unaccompanied apart from her own ukelele, perched on a console in the centre of the stage. Where “Bitch I’m Madonna†had made the arena feel huge, this song, and “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friendâ€, shrank the hall, and gave the big tent that rarest of performing qualities, intimacy. If Madonna is staking her pitch for posterity, she’s aiming high with Edith Piaf  and Marilyn Monroe. It worked, though.

The new album is still something of a blunderbuss.

As the show progressed, the routines became less shrill and more fun, the costumes and choreography evolving into ever-wackier forms. “La Isla Bonitaâ€, “Into the Grooveâ€, and “Who’s That Girl†tumbled over one another in a flurry of maracas, rose silk gowns, and increasingly, as the show progressed, more chat with the audience. Madonna was a warm, effective improviser, always staying half in-role, but revealing enough of herself to connect emotionally.

Where the New York show had Amy Schumer, London had Graham Norton, though not in an advertised supporting role, but a surprise cameo. Madonna did a kind of limbo dance through his legs, then they shared some banana-themed banter – as innuendo-merchants, it would be difficult to find a better pair – then he had his bottom spanked and was gone. The show ended with a string of sure-fire hits, and as she vanished, on a trapeze, through the curtain to the closing bars of “Holidayâ€, she had surely quelled all talk of declining superstar powers.

The new album is still something of a blunderbuss, Madonna’s traditional knack of taking an underground movement mainstream feeling a bit late to the party this time (a rap with Mike Tyson?), crass rather than provocative (“Holy Waterâ€, etc) and unfocused, containing a bit of everything, musically, in the hope that something might work out. Yet as a live show, it was a sensuous portrait of everything from gaudy gross-out to tender confessional. To fit all of that into a single show, crammed with colour, melody and action, more than 30 years into a career, is extraordinary, and begins to tell us what a rebel heart might be.
[*] The Rebel Heart Tour continues at O2 Arena tonight, with dates in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow later in the month

I love Noel Gallagher. He's definitely a "closet" fan.

Quote to Rolling Stone after the TIDAL rollout:

"I thought that the people on the stage might want to be a little bit aware that they don't look like Jay Z's minions," he said. "Madonna was pretty cool the way she cocked her leg up on that desk and signed the [declaration]. I think ultimately with the spiel they came out with, it was like, 'Do these people think they're the fuckin' Avengers? They're going to save the fuckin' [world].'

Quote to Vogue after the LFL tumble:

"And here I was thinking you were fine-tuning your pyrotechnics and dance routines for the stage show.
Who do you think I am, Chris Martin? Talking of Vogue, though, do you know who I was with last night?
    Tell me.
I was with Madonna [at Annabel’s, for the Mert & Marcus House of Love party held in her honor].
Did she have a doctor with her to attend to her bruises? [Two nights earlier, Madonna had taken a nasty fall during her performance at London’s Brit Awards.]
No—I think it was just her ego that was bruised. I’m not sure she was bashed up all that bad. She was nice though. My wife is a superfan—my wife honestly thinks that she is one of the greatest human beings that has ever lived."
