  1. I'm sure those recordings are somewhere. Maybe they are not edited for the VHS but I'm sure they exists. I think the problem here is that (as always) they don't really know where those recordings are. When Madonna was asked about the "Blond Ambition" Paris concert to be released, she told something like "When I find the recordings" and Alek Keshishian told that the tapes were lost. That the company was bought by other company, and this new company bought by a bigger one and nobody knew where the tapes were and that even the owner didn't know that they have them. And, months ago Madonna uploaded to instagram videos of her on a "warehouse" (I don't know if this is the correct word) and we could see lots of "Truth or dare" tapes that maybe were there for more than 20 years and nobody looked to them. Other problem with this is that Madonna doesn't seem interested in releasing those things. She isn't interested on selling over and over again her past, she always looks to give something new. If she doesn't want to re-release her albums with bonus songs or make a decent compilation of her videos for "Celebration" why somebody would be interested in waste time looking for something like that if it won't be released? The same way that we have the B-roll of "Vogue" or "Rain" I'm sure that the recordings of "The Virgin Tour" are there too. Why would they save those video outtakes and distroy the filming of the tour? Maybe someday we'll see it. A friend of mine is Michael Jackson's fan. I remember talking with him about "The Bad Tour". I wanted to see it and told me that there was only a professional recording of one Japan Show and nothing more. Whe he died the London Show was released as a bonus DVD of the "Bad" album or something like that. Lots of people were surprised because they didn't know it existed. Later I read that it was for Michael Jackson's personal collection, was never intended to be released. I think with "The virgin tour" will happen the same. And sooner or later (sadly I think it will be more later than sooner) it will see the light of day.
  2. Could if be something like this? http://www.archiveimages.com/licensing/public-gallery.php?id=426&pageNum_rsImages=6 I think it's very difficult to know where Madonna inspiratios are coming from. Sometimes she uses two or three "inspirations" to make one thing. I remember seeing sites comparing her work to "originals" and even the "Bye bye baby" single picture has something in commun with a picture of a "old Hollywood" film (I don't know if it was "Anchors aweigh" but I'm not sure) where the male star of the movie had a promo picture with the same pose used by Madonna. I really love the "old madonna eras" where she was inspired and refreshed the old good things of the past making them something modern.
  3. Ok... I guess my friend was joking or something... Thanks for your answers. I knew the Peter Cetera one... so I thought it could be possible. But now I see that Lulu was not credited on "Broken arrow" as my friend said
  4. This thing started with a friend of mine that is a great Rod Stewart fan. One day we were talking about music and he told me: - Did you know that Madonna sings on a Rod Stewart song? I didn't believe him and told him that if it was true I'm sure that I'd know it. He told me that it was a song called "Broken Arrow" from the 1991 album "Vagabond heart" and that she was not credited as Madonna, she used the nickname "Lulu Smith" and that was something that people said when the album was released. Well, now that Carrie Fisher has died I've read an interview she Made with Madonna in 1991. They start to talk about nicknames and things like that and Madonna said that she was called Daisy when she was married with Sean and that in that time she was using Dita. Here's part of that interview: Your nickname is Daisy? It was when I was with him. No one calls me Daisy now. Now it's Dita, from Dita Parlo, an actress from the Thirties. She did a lot of silent movies . And who gave you that one. Actually, I gave it to myself, but everyone thought it was very fitting, so it just stuck. You know how you have to pick names when you stay in hotels. After Daisy there was Lulu. Why were you named Daisy? For Daisy Buchanan, Daisy Miller? Daisy Miller. There are a lot of good Daisys. Mostly high-strung. Yeah. And then there was Lulu because I was worshiping Louise Brooks. My name was Lulu Smith. Looking for info about the album I didn't find something clear about that. The only thing that could be interested is that Patrick Leonard was one of the producers. Anybody knows if there's something confirmed about this??? Maybe it was told before and I didn't read about it but I'd like to know your opinion. As far as I know Rod said things like "I don't like Madonna" but maybe he liked in 1990 when the song was recorded...
  5. I don't think she's trying to tell the dancer. When she and the dancer go you can see a man running on stage with a towel... I guess she was "saying" him "Here's where you have to clean" But nice to see it
  6. Mine is Keith Carradine on "Material girl" but it's not on the poll so I'll bote Christopher Walken on "Bad Girl". Love the song, love the video, and he's perfect for that character. So my vote is for "Bad girl" (is all about the girls). I know most people hate her but I'd include Niki Haris in "Music" :P
  7. Yeah, I think the only missed song from that era was "Dress you up". At least "Who's that girl" and "Causing a commotion" were included on "The holiday collection" CD. Even "Spotlight" was the b-side of "Rescue me". I love the álbum and I prefer other songs that are not included than songs that were included (yeah, I love "Gambler" and "Everybody") but I have to admit that they made a great selection. Maybe, as some said, "Who's that girl" instead of "Cherish" but (for me) "Cherish" is one of her best songs of the 80s.
  8. Well, I think the problema is the days we're living... I mean, I remember that when I was young they played the "new songs" on the radio but they played some iconic artists too. I remember to listen to Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince... but at the same time they played (of course not as offen) songs by Elvis, The Beatles, ABBA... And on TV the same. I remember watching Tarzan's movies, classics as "Gone With The Wind" or "Casablanca", the Marilyn Monroe's films... and that made me feel much respect for their work and gave me a chance to know things that were not from my time but that it was good to know. Now, you only listen the songs that are new and that are sang by young singers or bands because people say "Only young people listen to us". When you watch TV you only see the films of the last couple of years but you never see "old movies" because "People don't want to see a black or White movie" and stupid things like that. Where I work was a 19 years old guy and one day I was talking with another one about Tina Turner. The young one said "Who's that girl?" and I told him that she's a singer, that she has great songs, I told him the name of some of them and he said "Oh, I never heard about her or her songs." I said "Really??? Well, better not talk about Mozart with you..." and he said "Who??" and I asked "He's the bass player of ACDC" (ironic mode on). And he said "Ah, ok... But who is ACDC?" What I'm trying to say is that people of my age didn't had Internet but they had more culture about music, movies and things like that. You could like pop, heavy, rock music or not, but we knew at least the names of the bands and at least their iconic songs. I have lots of heavy metal lovers as friends and they hate Madonna, but all of them can tell you at least 10 titles of her songs. Now people can get everything thanks to Internet but they're not interested in knowing new things. And of course people now get bored of everything soon. Two weeks ago I was having a drink with a friend at a bar and on the next table were young people talking. One asked if they played "Pokemon Go" and all of them said "No, We played last week and it was cool, but now is something too old for us. We prefer something new". That's the problem now... Well, I'm not sure that I've explained myself right, but hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
  9. What I heard about unseen footage is that even the company that had the rights doesn't know that they have it. I mean... The company that had the rights for the first time was bought by a bigger one and this was bought years after by another... that happened two or three times, I can't remember the names. So the one that has the unseen footage probably don't know where it is or maybe they don't feel the need of look for it. We have to remember that "Truth or dare" was made 25 years ago, and things were not like today. Now they have all those things in computers, hard discs, and things like that, and I guess is easier to find them. But the "Truth or dare" footage is stored with lots of footage of other films covered with dust nobody knows where. Same with her first videos and things like that. Madonna was on Sire and Warner but they had lots of artista with their concerts, their videos... to find them they need to go there and look for them and it takes time... so, I guess they won't feel the need of wasting time on it till she's death and they want to win money. I've always Heard that there was no recording of the "Bad tour" of Michael Jackso, just a Japan show and look... when he died the London one was found... It's sad but I think will happen the same with Madonna.
  10. The songs where she sings are: 01. Oh what a circus (Antonio Banderas/Madonna) 02. Eva and Magaldi/Eva beware of the city (Madonna/Jimmy Nail) 03. Buenos Aires (Madonna) 04. Another suitcase in another hall (Madonna) 05. Goodnight and thank you (Antonio Banderas/Madonna) 06. Charity concert/The art of the posibble (Jonathan Price/Madonna) 07. I'd be surprisingly good for you (Madonna/Jonathan Price) 08. Hello and goodbye (Madonna) 09. Peron's latest flame (Antonio Banderas/Madonna) 10. A New Argentina (Madonna/Antonio Banderas/Jonathan Price) 11. Don't cry for me, Argentina (Madonna) 12. On the balcony of the Casa Rosada (Madonna) 13. High flying, adored (Antonio Banderas/Madonna) 14. Rainbow high (Madonna) 15. The actress hasn't learned the lines (You'd like to hear) (Madonna) 16. Partido Feminista (Madonna) 17. Waltz for Eva and Che (Madonna/Antonio Banderas) 18. You must love me (Madonna) 19. Eva's finald broadcast (Madonna) 20. Lament (Madonna/Antonio Banderas) I think are these twenty songs. In some of then she just say one or two lines, but in all of them you can hear Madonna.
  11. I remember that years ago, on a magazine, I read that Marilyn Manson was using the candles that Madonna used on her "Blond Ambition Tour" for "Like a prayer".
  12. I think the same about the chronological order. That's what I don't like about "GHV2" and "Celebration". I think that good be good to see the evolution from "Everybody" to "Revolver" and I think that some 80's hits sound horrible next to 90 or 00 hits on their original version. About the tracklist I would say: 01. This used to be my playground 02. Erotica 03. Deeper and deeper 04. I'll remember 05. Secret 06. Take a bow 07. You'll see 08. You must love me 09. Frozen 10. Ray of light 11. Beautiful stranger 12. American pie 13. Music 14. Don't tell me I've chosen the 14 songs I think were more important those years. I mean, I love "Bad Girl" or "Human nature" but I don't see them as big hits for the general public. About "Don't cry for me, Argentina", I like the Miami mix but I don't see it as part of an album with just album versions. What I've never understood is why they decided to include a censored version of "Human nature". I remember that it was said because they didn't want the "Parental advisory" sticker on it but my question is "Why doesn't "Bedtime stories" (the album) had that sticker? Someone wrote about a "Celebration" track list... I have mine very clear so if people wants to write it too here I will do too.
  13. I think there's no just one problem with all this things... I mean, before the "Rebel heart" demos leaked, collectors were selling all the demos and was very difficult to get them. You had to pay lots of money for them and yeah, some leaked but was not very often. The only year I remember was something massive was when the instrumental demos leaked. This time Madonna said the demos were stolen and now all of them are there for free... I think that, if the same people were doing this they should be selling them instead of leaking them for free in just a few days. About the pictures, I don't know how it works but I think that is people around the photographer the ones that are leaking them. Madonna said that she didn't had seen them and I can believe it. When the photograph makes the photo session, does he show all the pictures or just the best ones? I mean, I can't believe that if Madonna saw the pictures from "Blame it to rio" session where she's dressing herself would say "Oh, I don't like them but you can keep them on your computer". I'm sure she would say "DELETE THEM RIGHT NOW"... I think the only way to stop this would be to reléase all the demos and things like that but it would be something imposible. I mean, yeah, she can make a special box or re-editions with demos, b-sides and things like that but not an álbum with "Ring my bell" (for example) with stems, take 1, take 2, different instrumentation and things like that. I'm sure that most of the songs have lots of different takes. And about Guy O. I think it's not behind all this. I'm sure Madonna pays him very well and it would be something stupid. I mean, if now they discover that Guy is behind all of this nobody would trust him anymore. I think he loses more than what he wins with all this situation.
