I LOOOVED the YCD cover. I can't remember the name of the magazine (somebody help me!) but I bought a Madonna collectible at the time that had a very similar, Spanish cover to it. It was so breathtaking that I couldn't stop looking at that picture for days. I chose the LAV cover for very similar reasons. On my living room wall is a HUGE poster of one of the stills from the LAV video. She was gorgeous and so wanton at this time. If I wasn't a girl (or maybe I should since I am a girl?). Anyways, I'm trailing off topic here and getting very sweaty.

Top 5: 1. Revolver: which is actually my FAVORITE Madonna song (yeah, I'm aware of the hate) 2. Into the Hollywood Groove: this hash was da bomb! 3. I Don't Give A: we all know that there's only ONE queen 4. Beat Goes On: I could dance all day 5. Love Song: I was initially going to choose this one, because did you all know that there's also only ONE Prince??!!! (I would suggest BTW to add 'I'd Rather Be Your Lover' with Tupac even though it was never officially released. Just a thought.)

Over all, this was a great introductory tour. Not many artists who are just starting out can pull out the arsenal of tricks that she did; honestly, some pros can't even put up this sort of caliber. What I'm saying is 'The Virgin Tour' was kick-ass! So, ranking the performances: 10. Lucky Star: even though I love the song, somehow this performance of it is kind of forgettable 09. Crazy For You: endearing but there's not much to it 08. Holiday 07. Material Girl: though who doesn't love that skit "Do you think that I'm a material girl? Well, you-are-wrong!" 06. Intro/Dress You Up 05. Like A Virgin/Billie Jean 04. Over & Over: just love the "over and over and over" refrain in the background especially 03. Gambler: who doesn't love this fast pace? 02. Into The Groove: I love this song, any true dance performance of it will get high marks from me 01. Everybody: her and the boom box, 'nuf said

I totally agree: 'Like A Virgin' is a GREAT album and I LUUUVVV Angel (obviously). It's the song that started my Madonna motor running and still in My Top 5. Are we including Into The Groove? (I'm acting as if we are.) I agree that both worked really well for the general population, radio friendly and all of that, but they both were just a bit too simplistic for me. I can definitely see why someone might someone might enjoy both and not knocking anyone who does, but neither the video nor the song works for me.
