Happy that we're on the same page lately, after the recent argument where there were accusations 🤗🫂
    Madonna unites everybody! ♥️
I actually criticized her vocal performance and I said she should have lip synced that night instead of using autotune which made her even more flat than she was.
But I've always shifted the focus onto the message, which I adored. I loved the use of gas masks and the references to the genocide with the jab at Israel using the lyrics from Dark Ballet. I adored it all. Madly.
I even forgave her for the line in Killers Who Are Partying (MX's best song) where she says "I'll be Israel if they're incarcerated," which is perhaps the stupidest line she's ever written in her entire life (and in fact, she corrected it to "Palestine" live throughout the tour).

Guys, I'm still riding that high! I met so many people... getting there early was just incredible. Rio is amazing, the vibe was magic.
And nearly everyone was singing along. I'm not sure what was happening behind me, but with over a million people there, I can't imagine what they experienced. There was this magical energy all around us. It felt like we were all part of her performance, deeply connected to each other despite our differences, our diverse cultures, stories, and nationalities (it was mostly Brazilians, but there were a few other Europeans too).
It may not be her biggest tour, but with that kind of crowd, the show was insane (as any Madonna tour would be, except for Madame X, just saying) and I'd say we made history!
Watching the Globo recordings for the second time, I get emotional thinking about what she achieved at 65. I love her so much ♥️🥺
We could nitpick, bher voice isn't what it was without autotune, and there are things we might not like, but now's not the time. She's an absolute force of nature! We were all loving it like crazy.

The official footage doesn't capture just how engaged the crowd was. I caught four shows of the tour, in arenas across Europe and in San Francisco. Those arna shows were probably even better, but here it felt more grand, and I wasn’t overanalyzing. Yesterday I was fully in the moment—moved, laughing, dancing, and just living it up! It was a whole different thing!
I'm so happy I went to this show ♥️

The broadcast and fan recordings have 2 different audios. Listen to the broadcast holliday and listen to a fan recording holliday. You will notice that the broadcast version has new vocals wich are not included in the fan recordings... Scroll back for the example. Same goes for Don't tell me.
It's not just an audio delay. There are dubbed vocals in place.  Vocals that where not in the performances itself.
They didn't just polished her vocals. They added completely different parts, thats why its not in sync at parts . If this was done correctly it wouldn't be such a big deal. But there are vocals playing when the mic is not with her mouth. While in fan recordings that doesn't happen...

This is my last comment about this. ( i try lol )
We don't care that much that the vocals are fixed. We know that was going to happen with official recordings, just like its happening with dvd releases, almost every artist does this.
We DO care that the fixed vocals are not in sync many times. They even add longer notes to make it sound perfect. If they do  they have to make sure it's in sync with her mouth. Same goes with the audience. Its not that much to ask for actually.  If they polish vocals to make it better, make sure to do it correct. Because now they are creating moments that people think shes sloppy and doesn't care and lipsyncs because of the not in sync mouth with audio.... Thats what we are sad about. Not about them fixing vocals ( wich wasn't needed imo because she sounded fine , but that's another discussion lol )
And no i didn't threw her under a bus after eurovision. It's Madonna, she was always hit or mis...

    I agree with @True Blue 84
I think there is a lot of misogyny. In the 80s, Madonna had a huge success and overshadowed many other artists. They said she wouldn't last, that she was a bitch without talent.
They said she couldn't sing or dance (when in fact she danced better than almost all other female popstars), because she was strong and controversial, as you say.
Sexuality came later, Madonna was already criticized in 1985, when she became very famous, for the way she owned her sexuality and challenged social conventions. Prince showed his butt and wasn't criticized, Bowie pretended to perform oral sex on his guitarist guitar and people found it amusing, but Madonna was demolished for much less. The reason? She's a woman and women were not suppose to behave like that!

GGW has always been lip-synced. She hasn't sung it live even once. But it's a recording engineered to sound live.
Body Shop was always live, and it never seemed lipped to me.
The point here is that this show was live from start to finish, and 12 min they made several shoddy audio substitutions for the TV broadcast.
The audience is almost always out of sync, creating a very unflattering effect. Sorry, but this bothers me A LOT.
Plus, there are moments where her voice (specifically raw vocals and not backing vocals) is heard, and she's either not singing or singing different words from the audio. It's evident in Holiday and other moments too. It's a disaster; I almost suspect it was done by at most 2-3 people rather than a team of 20 people paying attention to all the details.
And it's a shame because it tarnishes her image, giving off an extreme sense of artificiality. Don't Tell Me was completely ruined, with audio that doesn't even remotely resemble her live voice which is heard just in the first verse (because she was out of tempo and they could not replace her voice there). And there too, you can hear her voice when she's not singing.
As far as I'm concerned, they can autotune all they want, but they need to do it in a way that sounds realistic and stays in sync. Everyone says she doesn't sing live for these reasons, and I hate it. I was there and we all listened to a live concert, not a mimed one.

Hope they fix the audio not matching the video. Let's see!

It also bothers me that the audience singing is out of sync 99% of the time, as if it had been added with approximate timing.

Look i don't care if there are fixed vocals, thats normal with dvd releases to. But they have to make sure it's in sync. And at times it was not. That's not nitpicking... especially when she was in sync and live in person...

The reason we are not happy with the audio is that it's bad and that we care about her and we want to keep authentic memories of these moments. We love her religiously. We want them to be loved and to be remember as the legend she is.
We're not being hateful. We just want authentic memories, not evidently fake ones.
I'm happy for this big success. I was there and I LITERALLY CRIED multiple times. It did not happen at the other shows of the tour I attended. But when I watched the TV recording I was so disappointed, it's not always like that, it only happens with Madonna because she always tries to mask her imperfections by making it all worse.
So I really hope they're gonna fix it.

I'm with you on most of it, but you're too harsh.
She gave it her all, and apart from a few slips, she sang pretty well, only to self-sabotage with this poorly done audio editing.
The thing that bugs me the most is the audience sound that pops in and out and is ALWAYS out of sync. Sorry for repeating it but it pisses me off. We were singing in sync, I was singing in sync! She tarnished my image and that of the Brazilian audience.
    I'm gonna sue her!!! 🤣🤣🤣

But this time it's the other way around. She sang almost all of it live in Rio, sure with backing tracks, but her live vocals could be heard just fine. Just like on the past dates. But in the audio of the broadcast it sounds edited and at some parts makes it seems like shes lipsyncing while in person she was not. I don't care if they fix vocals but they have to make sure they go in sync. Especially when she sang them live in person. This will start lipsyncing roumours while she wasn’t...

She must be extremely insecure about her singing abilities (for good reasons); otherwise, she wouldn't go through all these maneuvers to mask her voice in a live recording. Sometimes I'm almost surprised she chooses to sing live, considering all of this.
And the cover-up is worse than the crime. She's really shooting herself in the foot.
I was so into this Rio show that I didn't even notice these screw-ups she made with the recordings. That's my super-fan side getting all hyped up and loving her no matter what, but then I take a step back after reading your comments, and I'm like, "Whoa." If it was just a little autotune on her real vocals, I'd get it, 'cause let's face it, she's been off-key in this tour, and her voice would sound awful coming out of a soundboard. But swapping it out with other performances? Disaster.
And forgive me for saying she's not as much of a perfectionist as she used to be. Many things she does are extremely contrived and sloppy. Instead of doing this, she could at least work on her technique a bit, or she could just be authentic and unmasked, letting her true voice be heard.
You're spot on when you say we're not in the MJ days anymore, where nobody cared about singing to a playback. Nowadays, almost everyone sings live, or at least tries to. People are WAY more tuned in to this stuff now.
Some people aren't, but they're minority right now. Or they're just happy fans who watch without paying attention to such details.
She's gonna end up being labeled as the queen of lip-syncing when it's not true.

Totally agree. I listened again today and I think a lot of it was backing track to be honest. Or at least, the backing was turned way up. I think they could have just used the backing to strengthen the overall sound rather than dominate it and she would have sounded fine.
Hopefully we see some changes for the re-broadcast. I’m not necessarily expecting they make her sound more live but at the very least they could fix some of the blatant errors that make it seem like she’s lip syncing. In Holiday there’s a part where she’s singing different words to the audio

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean, her voice is never perfect, she makes a lot of mistakes here and there in every concert, but that's also the beauty of a live performance, hearing some errors makes the performance feel real and human.
In some songs, I approve of the audio dubbing (like in Crazy For You, for example), and I think it would have been necessary in Everybody, because strangely this time she didn't even sing in the verses (I really don't know why she made this choice but I noticed right away), so they could have used a recording of her live voice from moments when she sang good on tour, but they didn't do that at all.
But I think she sounded good enough in Holiday or Don't Tell Me. Don't Tell Me is live at the beginning (she was out of tempo so they couldn't dub her), then they replaced her voice with a vocal take that's way different from how she sounds live (which is good in that song) and it's very obvious.
You can really hear that first she sings with her voice and then it's replaced by other vocals with a much higher tone.
I like her slightly low voice in Don't Tell Me, it's perhaps the song where her current voice fits best overall. And if they really wanted to replace her voice, they could have done it with a recording of her best live performance on this tour, but they didn't do anything like that.
Bad Girl was a bit shaky, but I would have left it as it was. It wasn't bad at all. And if you're going to replace the audio, only do it in the phrases where it sounds really off, inserting a vocal take done in identical conditions (same microphone, always handheld, with the same audio system) so that the difference isn't perceived, and make sure it matches the video. In summary: excessive and stupid modifications.
