  1. I totally agree. It’s too expensive, probably won’t reflect the quality for the price compared to similarly priced perfumes from big names like LV, Chanel, Tom Ford and the likes, nobody even wanted this, and it’s terribly packaged and promoted with a horrendous image. Theres literally nothing good about this and I’m the type that pre-orders every edition of an album but this is a BIG NO from me. She could’ve made far far more money from re-releasing LAP or Celebration box sets or some color/splatter vinyls for her past albums, but no they had to make something nobody cares in the cheapest quality possible.
  2. This!!!!!!!! If she goes back to release those promo box sets and promo limited edition or hell even color/splatter vinyls for each album, she’d be making far far more, instead of letting it be listed on eBay by scalpers for 3000
  3. I’ll pass. It’s not just about price, I’d happily pay twice as much for a Louis Vuitton. But what is this? How much lower can her standards for design and packaging go? I thought her single artworks were rock bottom, but this is a new low. It’s not that I can’t afford this, it’s that I refuse to pay for low quality product just because it has my favorite artist’s name on it. They’re probably making it a limited edition of 400 knowing damn well they can’t even sell a 1000 or this.
  4. American Life Ray of Light Confessions on a Dancefloor closely followed by MDNA and Madame X
  5. Nothing Fails The Power of Goodbye Masterpiece: I cried because I saw Madonna for the very first time at the MDNA Tour and I was a fan since I was 7 back in 1998, she held my hand during Open Your Heart, she literally walked towards me pointing at me saying “I think that you’re afraid to look in my eyes. You look a little sad boy I wonder why” and held my hand for a few seconds. From then on, it’s like a blacked out and only snapped out of it during masterpiece and I couldn’t stop crying. God Control: because a long portion of my life was in my home country of Iraq, then Jordan, I often missed out on going to the store on launch day to get albums, and relied on online shopping and digital music until I get the physical copy by mail. With Madame X, I was in LA, I went to target exactly at 8:50 PM, and told them it’s gonna be midnight in east coast shortly and I need to buy this so they agreed to sell it to me and I got Madame X and my iTunes purchase unlocked too. I paid with cash money to live the experience of getting an album from a physical store on launch day like the old days and I was so damn happy, so I played the iTunes version ok phone as I walked in Downtown LA and as God Control played, I didn’t know what was coming so when the song took off after the “people think that I’m insane” and then “we need to wake up” my tears started falling down as I walked almost like dancing in the streets and I just couldn’t control it.
  6. SAME! I want those pre-order links already!
  7. Yup. This too. I loved the family woman Madonna over the overly “queen” vibes even in situations off the stage and work, it felt insufferable, while the whole family and wise/mature image of IGTTYAS was so warm.
  8. This. Her outfits used to be incredible up until Rebel Heart, from then on, they became much less inspired and some being flat out ugly or more like a cheap replica of older stuff or too much of the same thing that it got boring, the bustiers and fishnets or the girls and the patch. Even Madame X tour outfits felt rather lame compared to her past tours. If I had her wealth, I’d have Louis Vuitton, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Versace custom design everything for me, including my sleepwear and gym wear ?
  9. What’s your favorite Madonna album title? Vote above and feel free to list them from most to least favorites here. Confessions on a Dancefloor > Madame X > Rebel Heart > Erotica > True Blue > Ray of Light > American Life > Bedtime Stories > Like A Virgin > Like A Prayer > MDNA > Madonna > Hard Candy > Music
  10. As the title says, rename each Madonna album whether it’s an original name, another song title or a word from the lyrics (like Kylie Minogue says Read my body language in the song Slow and the album is called Body Language). It doesn’t have to be your favorite song from the album, just a title that fits or sounds good. So let’s go! Madonna - Physical Attraction or Everybody Like A Virgin - Material Girl or Angel True Blue - Live to Tell Like A Prayer - Express Yourself or Act of Contrition Erotica - B*tch or SEX Bedtime Stories - Human Nature Ray of Light - Drowned World Music - Impressive Instant American Life - X-Static Process Confessions on a Dancefloor - can’t change the best album title ever. Sorry! Hard Candy - Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You MDNA - Beautiful Killer Rebel Heart - either two parts Rebel and Heart or Babylon (from Wash All Over Me. I loved that part!) or Devil Pray Madame X - God Control
  11. I don’t think any actress can ever portray Madonna right. Everyone showcased so far looks no different from any fan in cosplay with their facial features and attitudes being COMPLETELY different from her. Madonna’s ballads are superior to 90% of her discography. Most of her hits (especially lead singles) while really great and iconic songs, are way too overplayed and overpraised compared to her far far superior album tracks or later singles in each era, and are hardly represented/performed live. I wholeheartedly disagree with “Madonna has nothing to prove” because as long as one is an artist, they always have something to prove and revolutionize and unfortunately while I prefer her recent discography over the 80s, I still think that as a whole package, she’s far less of a perfectionist than she used to be from Erotica to COADF, and so many videos, recording and artworks from HC and up feel too half-as*ed or low effort. Madonna was AT HER ABSOLUTE BEST artistically speaking and in terms of looks, visuals, outfits and persona when she was with Guy Ritche. It’s like with him, she always tried to prove to be better, and after she got divorced, it’s like she wanted to rebel against the entire image she built but at her own detriment (save for S&S and MDNA Tours). I’m Going to Tell You a Secret is better than Truth Or Dare.
  12. Daft Punk - Instant Crush The Weeknd - Blinding Lights
  13. I think those remasters and single re-released are meant to lead up to a complete collection by the time the movie’s out or leaving her label.
  14. I wish her team had a fraction of the creativity in this.... well done!
  15. Looks like we’re finally getting remasters. Here’s to getting American Life (Director’s Cut) and all the rest. They also posted a comparison video of the color improvements:
  16. Sorry! My mistake. If any mods can fix if, I hope they do
  17. What are your favorite opening and closing album tracks by Madonna?
  18. I agree with this too. But I hope the public will understand this and I’m not big on Julia Garner being her. She looks nothing like her and that one shot of her with the I’m Breathless/Blond Ambition hair looks no closer to Madonna than any other person in the same outfit and hair would.
  19. I just want it to be a good movie that will get good enough publicity and revenue. It would be so sad for this to be another %20 rotten movie with $15m revenue out of $90m budget...
  20. Even if she’s great, the publicity around her as an actress and a director is bad. I wish she let the one who did Bohemian Rhapsody do it or some art house film director like Luca Guadagnino or something like that.
