  1. here's my video from one of the London shows (5/12/23) I hope you enjoy it
  2. Oh believe me, she doesn't mind my opinions on anything.
  3. Backing music sounds different, as though the levels of the synths have altered. She seriously upped her game vocally too Either she listened to Scion or she wanted to give Detroit something extra.
  4. This is hands down her best opening number ever. It's just brilliant and so perfectly realised visually. Definitely one of the best moments of her career for me. Sound wise it's a bit weird, but I still love it. She also sounds pretty good singing it, far better than the '99 Grammy's.
  5. 'what can I say, I'm distracted!?' Frozen truly is a disaster on this tour. So was Rain. There are only three songs that sound consistently bad on this tour, and that's two of them right there. Nothing Compared 2 U was far better than the public and press made out. I don't think she's done one performance since where she's sounded better. I enjoyed it, a lot. Sometimes going higher works better. Nothing Fails on RIT she made higher than the record if I remember correctly and it worked out very well, except in Lisbon 😄
  6. Depends on the show. Some shows yeah, some shows no. The rough mix of the DVD that leaked wasn't okay, the first few shows I thought she sounded alright singing Like a Prayer. It's just not a song that she sings well. I think it has to be in her shows because it's quintessential Madonna, but its not been flattering on a tour in years.
  7. It's a weird one. She lowered it into Barry White territory for Madame X and sang it over a backing track and it was still too much for her. It's a huge song with a lot of potential for straining. It used to be (2003/4/5/10) a great song to showcase her strengths but with age and maybe lack of training her voice doesn't have it anymore. However, Express Yourself sounds fabulous I'd certainly question it if you think she sounds fine singing Like a Prayer. There's performances where she sounds passable but I don't think she's done a performance of the song where her vocals are even 'good' since Hope for Haiti. It's the one I dread too. The second verse in London (5th December) she kinda blew me away that she seemed to intend to hit the notes she didn't...
  8. Bellowing it and not quite hitting the notes whilst sounding like you have a sore throat is definitely 'something'. For me I'll go with: 1. Rainforest Benefit (by far the best) 2. Drowned World Tour (I don't like the remix but she sounds lovely on the earlier shows) 3. Rebel Heart - Interesting production, very flat vocally but I like what they were going for.
  9. Literally yes. It isn't even a matter of opinion, it's regarding the laws of music. She's off key and flat, and as such it can't be said she sounds good. If somebody isn't bothered by it or doesn't realise, that's fine, but it's because they're quite literally tone deaf and therefore cannot perceive the issues..imagine on RIT is hideously flat also, yet some people say its beautifully sung... Why? Because they can't hear the off notes (lucky them 😭)
  10. Yeah she's flat on both, but far more so in Lisbon. I'm not sure there is a single video of this tour where she sings like a prayer 'fine'. There are songs this tour she sounds always fine, but Like a Prayer her vocals are awful every single performance.
  11. Why? It wouldn't change a thing. Only hardcore fans care about a tour book. Casuals buy them and stick them in the garage. They could spoil it and put the photos on billboards, it wouldn't actually affect the sales one bit, nor will a surprise release have any sort of impact or media coverage. It's a tour book of a four month old tour. All is good.
  12. I mean I think credit where credit is due, somebody decided to raise the key on CFY far higher than she sang it on RHT or RIT, and it sounds far better on a good night. Like a Prayer however I'm not even sure what they could have done - Stockholm she sounded average, 5th December at the O2 there were moments she sounded as bad as Eurovision
  13. If you like flat vocals, fair enough.
  14. Well yeah I'd just prefer she sings well, like the majority of the show. She's a singer it's perfectly fair to judge her on poor singing when it happens, the same it fair to call out a footballer for playing poorly, or a boxer for having a bad match etc. Like it or lump it 🤷‍♀️
  15. Cool? She's completely off key. Crap more like.
  16. It sounds completely different to some of the previous shows and very very live. I wouldn't call it raw though, it's definitely well processed. I'm sure its been mimed on some shows to a new vocal.
  17. 65yo and singing the song better than she did at 41.
  18. 10pm outside of London is the rough average. Your parents should be fine.
  19. That Live To Tell performance from last night is a disaster. Also, her vocals are so good there is NO reason to have a backing track underneath. If there was no backing track it would have seemed a bit better.
  20. The quality of the posts on this forum has deteriorated beyond redemption.
  21. Yes the nose makes a difference. Hence why we get a stuffy nasal voice when we have a heavy cold.
