If I remember right, some months ago a member of her team said that it will premiere on Netflix. Then changed the text where he said that. But now we have confirmation that it's going to be available on streaming, so I don't think that they're changing their plans to go for the PPV route. It's not as attractive as the check they will receive from any streaming platform.

Streaming platforms have very busy schedules, planned with years of anticipation in some cases. If they're going to include one more original to their catalog, they need to find the correct spot in their calendar that doesn't overshadow other titles (or vice versa). And I think that's the only reason why it's taking her so long to premiere it. There are marketing and business contracts that need to be respected. Even if she had the film ready, she depends on the platform times to release it.

Maybe she didn't intended to say “GOD is coming”, but “SOD is coming”. ?

Los Javis, the guys behind the Veneno series, told an spanish TV show that Madonna called them to tell her that she has loved the show and then invited them to her London house to “talk private stuff”. One of them revealed that they have a WhatsApp group with Madonna, and the other guy told him something like “dude, you're telling too much!”. Why would Madonna invite the guys behind a biopic series to her house and then start a whatsapp group with them? Maybe, maaaaaaaaaaaybe because no one contacted her to do the screenplay, or did their research asking her about her own life before writing it? Biopics usually have the permission and involvement of the artists, if they're alive; or the family/friends/colleagues, if they're not. This people ignored that and wrote a whole story about Madonna without Madonna's involvement, just based on other people's stories about Madonna's personal life. What the hell was that? Lol. Creepy at least, but it tells a lot about how women are treated on the entertainment industry. It was such a bad move by Universal, even if it a was a well written script! Let's just hope we get some more news about this project in the coming weeks. This is the first time that she's looking at her own past with nostalgia, and we might be in for a treat.

No one has said anything about Diablo. How can they fire someone who isn't working with her anymore? I- The script is done and under pre-production. If anything, Universal may want to add an extra writter to retouch some points, which is usual in cinema. That may be the reason behind her patriarchy post: her original view is being challenged and now she's looking for someone to rewritte sone stuff. That's all.
