  1. The "sections" made no sense, the fashion was hideous and the tour renditions didn't match the mood or the theme of the sections they were placed in. She chose way too many 80's songs and most of them from one album only, her worst 80's album, LAV. She once again ignored the 90's and decided to do a lame disco version of Deeper and Deeper as part of the fucking ROCKABILLY section. She decided to throw in an unnecessary cover song when she has a beautiful catalogue of songs to choose from. The tour backdrops and especially the interlude were by far the least impressive ones she has ever done. The closing song was Holiday which is so washed up and I entertaining by now...if she really wanted to spice things up and make career references, she should have replaced La Vie en Merde with Take a Bow and close the show with Everybody (with a medley of other 80's songs incorporated) instead of wasting the medley for that horrible Latin rendition of Dress You Up. The tour just didn't seem well thought-out and there is evidence that a lot of things were changed for the final setlist. She even scrapped an entire interlude video for Sex and only left three frames from the video in it. It was a mess overall. Too many things she has already done, sing renditions we have heard before and barely any good song surprises (except for that surprise slot).
  2. I will fight right back. For me, this Tour was massively lacking in terms of production. It looked like a damn rehearsal with a setlist that was thrown together last minute and the song mixes sound like cheap karaoke tracks. I hate everything about this tour and I'm not sorry when I say it's her worst tour of all time.
  3. I wouldn't mind this tour not coming out on DVD. I have a strong love-hate relationship with this tour.
  4. Obviously but she also loved Mer Girl, Future Lovers, Gang Bang and a few others and they have never reappeared on tour.
  5. Even Beat Goes On would have worked better than fucking Candy Flop. It's still bothering me that she brought it back a third time. I betcha it's fucking Kevin Antunes who keeps asking her to do it.
  6. Hard Candy was a dumb title to begin with and the fact they just cut her out and pasted her onto that fugly candy swirl shit is embarassing. My suggestion for a much better and more tongue-in-cheek title:JAWBREAKERThat would have kept the "rough but sweet" aspect going.I have a soft spot for the album. I still think some of the outtakes are better than the stuff that actually made it onto the album. Pala Tute and Animal in particular. My favourite song is probably Devil Wouldn't Recognize You. That song has always been one of my favourites and I never grew tired of it. Beat Goes On, She's Not Me and Heartbeat are close runner ups. All of those could have been great singles to be honest. Sad, she wasn't too enthusiastic about the album. She was and probably still is rather salty than sweet about Candy Shop not becoming the lead single, as she had wanted to.Timbaland and Timberlake, imo, did a much better job than Pharrell who was really hit or miss on this album. Some of the tracks are truly among his all time worst produced tracks. I think an entirely new song composed out of bits and pieces from Spanish Lesson, Candy Shop and the demo of Beat Goes On could have been a hot track, if done right. You all might be surprised that my least favourite song is actually Give It 2 Me. Yes, I absolutely despise the song and it's production. It sounds like a really bad demo to me. Unfinished, unpolished, cheesy. The production doesn't suit the energetic lyrics in my opinion. My other least favourites are Voices, Dance 2night, Incredible and due her over playing it, also Candy Shop.
  7. CDs have the advantage of being the medium that can be most easily transferred to digital format. Releasing vinyls only will cost more and will most likely get even less sales due to the fact that they pander to a small fraction of an already smaller group of potential buyers.
  8. It really depends on where you live. A lot of people still buy CDs, especially if it's a legend like M who has a lot of collectors. I am currently working on completing my singles collection of M and I find it's stupid that I have to buy used CDs from various places just to get a physical copy for an affordable amount of money.
  9. Uhhh no thanks. I'd rather have my Madonna collection without all those pops and with good sound quality.I get that vinyls are nostalgia and the covers are larger and prettier but CDs were invented for a reason and they offer way more possibilities than vinyls do.Her 80's singles and most of the versions from back then are still unavailable, digitally or on CD.
  10. YES! I cannot believe that her singles and most importantly a lot of the single versions are unavaible digitally. Like, how and why does Janet have all her single uploaded to iTunes and Madonna hasn't? I demand special editions of all her studio albums with revamped booklets including some of the beautiful promo pics shot for her albums and bonus material, like demos, outtakes and tracks like Gambler or Crazy for You on LAV.Gesendet von iP
  11. I think it was time constraints also within the show, resulting in the merging of section. A lot of songs and remakes sound very rushed and look unprepared.I think this show wasn't going to feature as many 80's tracks. She basically made a setlist aimed specifically at the Australian audience.
  12. Thank God her second Greatest Hits Tour is finally over. A little bummed she didn't do WTG or didn't bother doing TAB in an acoustic arrangement to make it sound good. But I'm not complaining. TAB was a dream come true for me and WTG was boring to me the way it was arranged. Still, would have preferred that over Like a Prayer.Anyway, this tour wasn't my cup of tea at all and I won't miss it but I will miss the excitement preceding it and the era overall cause she really gave her everything until the tour. Tears of a Clown was definitely my #1 highlight. I'm hoping that now that she's done a tour aimed at her casual fans she's continuing the sentiment of TOAC and decides to dig out some of her ignored stuff.
  13. I have always had my album sorted differently to seperate both sides. I don't think two CDs were necessary but the sequencing was messed up. Whoever was in charge of sequencing should be murdered:1. Iconic (Part 2)2. Illuminati3. Bitch, I'm Madonna4. Best Night5. S.E.X.6. Holy Water7. Inside Out (Demo Rev 4)8. Unapologetic Bitch9. 14. OMG so this is basically her Round 2? Damn...I bet she's gonna go to South America with this show as well!
  15. Also @@Enrico this was the first time she decided to do an overall dark and moody show. RH could have been much more personal but it turned out to be a very lighthearted 80's heavy show (too much 80's and too lighthearted if you ask me). I'm glad she has done something that was exclusively for her true fans that can enjoy a ballad set over a full blown choreography-heavy and uptempo 80's love fest.I wouldn't mind a tour with only songs from Like a Prayer, Erotica, Bedtime Stories, American Life and Ray of Light since those were the album that still have 50% of their content unperformed and are still among her best work.
  16. It was meant to be dark and moody. A confessional. Contrasting a colorful and happy theme on the outside with the sadness and dark mind on the inside. You have the Rebel Heart tour which dusts off a lot of uptempo classic songs. This show was an opportunity for her to do songs that may never get another live performance given this was a one-time thing which I doubt. She was clearly saving the singles for her main tours. Also, Borderline, Holiday, I'm So Stupid and Don't Tell Me were uptempo.Sure, she could have done better songs than she did but then again, I would have never expected her to dig so deep through her catalogue and do a set of such deeply personal songs. It's amazing. This show, as she stated herself was a rehearsal. She may turn this into a full show with a dynamic setlist. Still, songs like Rescue Me or Nothing Really Matters wouldn't work in an intimate setting. They demand grande performances or visuals otherwise, it would be a waste.
  17. ANYWAY, I still want to hear Nothing Really Matters before I or she dies! Next tour! Bring it on Miss M!Gesendet von iP
  18. Yeah and they had enough opportunities to see/hear them :)Also, she has a tour DVD for almost every tour. People feel so entitled to hear all those overdone songs on tour. This concert proves that her catalogue is so amazing, she could do a tour consisting of only non-classics and it would still be amazing!
