  1. You guys should stop buying her curated vinyls, let them flop and pile on in her hallway until she gives us the promised expansive deluxe editions....AND these vinyls will be cheaper after they flopped so it's a win-win situation for us.
  2. There are at least two different voice-over done by Madonna for ToD. The one in the blueprint bootleg is different from the final one.
  3. The Like A Virgin corset has oxyded ! Gaultier said it was a nightmare even then because it was oxyding already. The second one is the prototype so she even has the prototype. The shorts were supposed to be worn during "La Isla Bonita" before it was switched for "Holiday" and Marlene Stewart had to make a costume for it. The pics are old but there's a reason why she posted them now, meaning, maybe, she's gonna wear them again or copies next tour, or the dancers.
  4. Now i wonder if the next release for RSD in november will be that Madame X movie soundtrack Ricardo posted the sleeve of...
  5. Of all the missed opportunities and fuck ups of the AL era, not releasing the full vocal edit of Hollywood by Stuart Price as an alternative single version is probably at the top of the list. Same goes for his mix of Nobody Knows Me, it should have been available as a b-side or on Remixed and Revisited because with just a few tweaks he transformed a very lethargic track that goes nowhere into an energetic bop, and again, it's not even a total remix but a mix. (AL was her first album since LAV to be solely (co)produced by one producer, Stuart should have been invited to, at least, do what Jellybean did for the first album meaning tweaking a few tracks a bit) (On another note i still don't understand how she did not get sued for not crediting Iggy Pop on I'm So Stupid, you can clearly hear the I Wanna Be Your Dog guitar line down in the mix throughout the song AND when she was promoting Confessions someone asked her about that Stooges track being sampled in I Love New York, which she denied, even though it is, and added that it was indeed ripped on I'm So Stupid on the previous record. And in rehearsals for the tour she made it even more obvious, even singing like Iggy Pop. The Dakar and Ginser electroclash cover was even played before every ReInvention tour shows and Pop was her special guest at Skibo Castle)
  6. The MTV awards version is full vocals (and we have a member here who did a full vocal version of it. It sounds so good) and that would be a way to aknowledge that perf ^^
  7. I'd die if she does the Thin White Duck mix of Hollywood on this tour. She would too though, everytime she performed it during the AL promo tour, she fuck it up and each time she said she had difficulties remembering the lyrics.
  8. Oh, IT created another account to troll the site. How many there are now ? Like 6 or 10 ? Poor little no life qanon :/
  9. maybe that was a typo and they meant expensive ^^
  10. according to the credits Johann Delebarre the creative director (he did FEL too) so it seems he's probably in charge of the "epansive deluxe editions" (i quote the official statement*) of the albums too. * As a reminder, let's published the statement again. NEW YORK, Aug. 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Madonna and Warner Music Group today announced a milestone, career-spanning global partnership that includes a new agreement for her entire recorded music catalog. With global sales of over 300 million records, Madonna is the best-selling female artist of all time, with countless accolades that include seven Grammy Awards, 24 ASCAP Pop Music Awards, and numerous international trophies, including BRIT, Bravo Otto, Danish Music, Edison, GAFFA, International Dance Music, Ivor Novello, Juno, MTV, and World Music Awards, among many others across the globe. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. This partnership marks the revitalization of a decades-long relationship with Warner that began with the release of Madonna's debut single in 1982. The deal encompasses her entire Sire/Maverick/Warner catalog, including global smash albums such as Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, and Ray of Light. It also includes her three most recent studio albums, MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X, which will join the Warner catalog beginning in 2025. All in all, the new pact includes 17 studio albums plus singles, soundtrack recordings, live albums, and compilations. Warner Chappell Music also globally administers all of Madonna's songwriting work. This features such top-charting hits as "Like A Prayer," "Vogue," "Into the Groove," "La Isla Bonita," "Live to Tell," "True Blue," "Open Your Heart," "Who's That Girl," "Express Yourself," "Lucky Star," "Take A Bow," and many more. 2022 will mark the 40th anniversary of Madonna's recording debut. This new deal heralds the launch next year of an extensive, multi-year series of catalog releases that will revisit the groundbreaking music that made her an international icon. For the first time, Madonna will personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums, as well as introduce unique releases for special events, and much more. The series of releases will be overseen by Warner Music's catalog team, led by Kevin Gore, President of Global Catalog, Recorded Music, with the first release to be announced soon. This monumental deal was executed by Madonna's longtime manager Guy Oseary at Maverick, Allen Grubman of Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sachs P.C., her business manager Richard Feldstein of NKSFB, and Max Lousada, CEO, Recorded Music, Warner Music Group. Madonna said: "Since the very beginning, Warner Music Group has helped bring my music and vision to all my fans around the world with the utmost care and consideration. They have been amazing partners, and I am delighted to be embarking on this next chapter with them to celebrate my catalogue from the last 40 years." Guy Oseary said: "Over the past 30 years, I've been fortunate enough to meet and spend time with many of Madonna's incredible fans, and this new partnership will bring to fruition what so many of them have been patiently waiting for: a celebration of her groundbreaking catalogue. My partner Sara Zambreno and I are working closely with Warner Music Group to bring new life to these iconic works." Max Lousada added: "We're honored to be forming a dynamic new partnership with an incomparable superstar whose influence on our musical and artistic landscape is immense and immutable. Madonna has changed the course of pop and dance music, while taking live performance to new heights of drama and invention. At the same time, she uses her fame to amplify some of the most important social issues and movements of our time. Constantly and fearlessly challenging convention, her four decades of music are not only an extraordinary body of work, but a playbook for creative and cultural evolution."
  11. Yep, the late Alexis Arquette was quite the Madonna fan, she kept a pic from the DSS set of her and her sister Rosanna sat next to each other and Madonna standing behind them with her hands on their hand like he was blessing them like the pope according to Alexis in interviews. Before transitionning she was quite big in the drag scene both in LA and NYC, you can see her at the Paris Is Burning Premiere aligned with all the other local drags and she was famously filmed in the Wigstock documentary. So back to 1990, she entered the MTV Madonna Vogue contest, directed and featured in her own video with friends. She won 1st place.
  12. EXCUSE ME ??? I'm sending a screengrab of your comment to Madame X, it's gonna break her heart.
  13. Boomers and Gen X discussion, the only known Kylie nowadays is the Kardashian's Jenner sister ^^ You're in denial and that is final. But what a rejuvenating disscussion, Kylie being called local, Gaga being compared to Gonzo (another boomer, Genx Ref) i feel 15 y/o younger
  14. What i really don't want, personally, is something like that godawful Thriller25 and those trash Black Eyed Peas, Akon & Kanye remixes. I"d rather have no bonus and just a remastered album than that. It was the worst. Then again we got Thriller 40 last year and i understand perfectly why, while he was alive, Michael did not want those demos of unreleased tracks to be released, they are terribly generic. The best bonus material is demos or work in progress of the released songs.
  15. I disagree, her worst upscale is Rain, her makeup does not translate in HD, she looked beautiful in the SD video, she looks like a drag in HD.
  16. Talking about the Holiday video, i've just read this in the Lucky Star book from 1985 by Michael McKenzie & Martin Burgoyne So the Burning Up video was not released at the same time as the single but way after the album release and after the Holiday single release (the first off the album in june of 1983) when the song was finally a hit after Thanksgiving of 1983. That's when they did the Burning Up video. Then Borderline AND Lucky Star were shot a week apart in February of 1984 Like A Virgin was supposed to be released on july 18th 1984 but was postponed due to the success of the re-release of Lucky Star (originally released in september of 1983). The timeline was really confusing to me, fact is the videos were not released with the singles except for Borderline and the re-release of Lucky Star but why did they shot that video in february when the single had been already out since september and if Holiday was too "dance oriented" for MTV then, so was Lucky Star, unless that one, in all its simpicity was made exclusively for clubs. So Jellybean remixed Burning Up in the last quarter of 1983 to make it sound less "dance oriented" and more "new wave" because that was what MTV played then (Rock and New Wave only). So maybe they sent Lucky star to MTV and people digged it even though it was too dance oriented for MTV. How this one got re-released and pushed back Like A Virgin (which already had a release date as seen in this book) to november is still a blur (to me at least).
  17. IMO tracks on the Holiday Collection EP are probably the ones that were in the running but did not even get the remix/edit treatment by Pettibone/Shimkin/Hotoda hence why they collected them in their original album and single (CAC) versions. I think it's in the Erotica Diaries Pettibone said the process was exhausting because they had very little time to do it and adding the Q Sound mix to the tracks was, at the time, rather complicated so i don't believe there's any outtakes other than alternate versions/tests of what we had.
  18. IMO a Madonna forum should be a safe place for women and LGBTQ+ people. I don't find what Sam Smith did well staged but the reactions show how brave they are to expose themself to criticism like this and necessary as well because they expose those who make these critics even more and at the end of the day it says more about those ones than about Sam Smith. And this is not an out of subject discussion because the same can be said about those nasty comments Madonna gets on IG whatever she does or says. They reveal everything about the darkness within those commenters and nothing about Madonna.
  19. I'm Gobsmacked. I've just checked the thread and the level of transphobia is unbelievable epsecially on a Madonna forum of all places . That member whom previously said women dressing sexy at his gym deserve it if they are sexually harrassed is at it again and trying to gaslight and victimize himself that it's not what he said. Just like the last time he talked sh*t it's exactly what he said. Bold enough to vomit his hate and bigotry but not enough to stand by what he says if it means being banned from accessing the files thread. That goes too for those who liked his transphobic comments. At least now i know who to block.
  20. I love they put it upfront it's a tribute to Rauhofer.
  21. Well, i salute him for daring in a society obsessed and restricted by other people's opinion and judgement. That said, i don't like the execution.
  22. Is it from the same person who bumped into Pat Leonard in a restaurant ?
